13Very sad that the tourism has destroyed so much of the coral. Lots of dead and broken coral and not many fish left.
I did my first dive in Koh Tao at the japanese garden. Totally worth a visit to snorkel or if you are learning scuba diving.
There was a small fee to enter. The beach was beautiful the snorkelling was good saw lots of coral and fish.
Disappointing is how I’d describe it. Arriving after snorkelling on Ko Phangan at Ko Ma, Japanese Garden was a let down. Lots of dead coral, ok variety of fish. Today I had a better experience at Ao Leuk Bay which was not only better snorkelling, it cost only 50 baht,
Great scuba-diving, Freediving, Snorkeling spot and its better just to come here if you get like a boat tour or your diving school brings you here since its just hard to get to the actual island and then pay for entrance to the tiny island then arrive to the beach.
The best snorkeling spot we did on this trip. We did about 10 snorkeling spots total. The coral reef here still vibrant with some of most amazing combinations. Large variety of fish can be found here. It’s a place you want to be in forever.
Nice dive side in shallow water. Did my Padi refresher here after the Covid years.
Scuba Shack was my dive school and absolutely recommendable. Great staff, nice boat and professional diving!
We swam here from the beach to snorkel the best fish & coral on this part of koh tao I think.
Stunning coral worth vist, we kayak trailer from mainland ko tao, took about 40mins each way.
Beautiful spot for snorkeling. We had the luck to see a pair of trigger fish, beautiful parrot fish and lots of sergeant fish which really stayed close during our snorkeling-swim. It is certainly worthwhile to take your time when you are at Japanese garden.
Dove here during my open water certification with black turtle. Really enjoyed the coral formations and small marine life. Water was very calm

Recently been new spot for snorkeling. It seems like watching a beautiful aquarium decoration. Snorkeling spot does not deep. Clear water with small fishes. So enjoy
