A very nice hotel
A little higher than some other hotels but there is a shuttle.
The breakfast was great, you have everything you need.
The women at the spa are super nice and very professional. I will gladly come again

I did the Open Diving Course with a group of four. Our instructor Lea was amazing! She was very informative, encouraging and knowledgeable. Felt mega safe and only wish I could do you advanced while I am here in Koh Tao. Here to another year maybe. Would highly recommend. Specially if your a backpacker you get a cheeky discount off peak season through Islander Hostel. A great experience!

A very nice resort. Yes, there are a lot of stairs but how else can you have both a beautiful view and a direct exit to the sea.
Room (Villa) : The bedrooms are air conditioned. If you want to cool the entire villa you should leave the doors open. All rooms are well equipped. The bedrooms each have their own bathroom and walk-in closet. There is a small kitchen and a pool outside.
Service: Communication via WhatsApp. Whether it's the kitchen or the reception - answers are given promptly. This way you can also save yourself a few steps. All of our wishes were fulfilled.
Location: The resort is not easy to get to. The final climb is very steep and the roads are not in good condition. We had a ride around the island and that went quite well.

Beautiful peaceful hotel. Friendly ppl. The only thing I would mention is that the huge water gas station is located right in front of the hotel beach. Sometimes you feel the smell from the boats that came to get ️ gas.

Wow! First time in Koh Tao despite living in the neighbor island of Phangan and We couldn’t choice a better hotel than Jamahkiri! Friendly and nice staff taking care of you since the online booking, very easy by WhatsApp too!
The view from the rooms is incredible, the reef in front of the hotel so rich of sea creatures, just snorkeling you can see huge turtles and reef small sharks. Breakfast ok even if could be a bit more various.
The resort is definitely not indicated if you have mobility issues cause the amount of steps to rich rooms and restaurants/ reception, for who can walk it’s just a good workout.
Jamahkiri will be for sure again our spot for the next koh Tao holiday!

Yes, there are stairs but it pays off with one of the best views I had during my time in Thailand! Rooms directly located seafront with balconies towards Kho Phangan. Location is quiet, but you get to the pier within 10 minutes if you want to. Also, the hotel is located at the only bay with sea turtels in Koh Tao, which is really amazing! Had a great massage at the spa. And thanks to the amazing recepionist, who send my AirPods which I forgot to Bangkok within 24h at no extra cost (I do not know how he did it, just amazing). Would come back anytime when in Koh Tao!

We were looking for SPA in the area today And this hotel name come up. We arrived there around 6pm. The receptionist guy told us it’s not opening, which is ok. The lady was sweet, but when we ask the guy can we see the property and see the room. We are interested stay there. He was mumbling in Thai.and telling us NO in very judging and condescending way. So we felt not very welcomed. It looks like very nice hotel from our side. With our short experience i think the soft service has room to improve.

We spent 3 nights this week. The location is far from the main market. It is on a hill. Very good sea view.

However, there is too much of STEEP climbing to move within the property, including going from the room to the restaurant, or anywhere. Very exhausting. They don’t have any vehicle for internal movements. That’s pathetic. ABSOLUTELY NOT SUITABLE for elderly people who might have pain in joints. Exhausting. Even directions are not given properly. If you lose your direction, there is no one to ask for, and you might have to struggle to find your room!

Services are below average. Bathroom showers have no force. No jet spray in the bathrooms. Completely avoidable.

Our villa was amazing. Great service. Friendly staff. Quiet. The restaurant served very good food as well.

The resort is beautifully designed and the views of the ocean are breathtaking. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the pool was fantastic.

Beaware of this place. It's got scenic views but anyone over 60 and under 10 or with walking difficulty should reconsider the hotel. It's on a steep cliff with no thought of how people can go between reception, restaurant and rooms as the climb for abled people too is very taxing. Food choices limited to one resturant and no other options around it unless you take a taxi and get to centre of Koh Tao.
It's not a place you shuttle between pool or restaurant and room every few hours as the Steep walk will discourage you. The spa is non operational too.

Advice is be honest to travellers by mentioning these facts so people can take informed decisions before booking and not be a nasty surprise. We had booked for 5 nights and left after 3 days because of how difficult the walk up and down was. The hotel did not refund unused room nights and won't talk and will never pick the reception number listed. How is one to communicate with them?

Maintained at a low level, many closed and abandoned areas. The hotel itself is located on a high mountain, rooms and living areas are at the bottom withoutany exit, while the lobby and dining rooms and the exit from the hotel are on the top of the mountain, which forces the guests to climb an insane amount of stairs. **Not suitable for older people or those who want an effortless vacation**.

Beautiful design built into the rocky hillside. Craftsmanship of entire place is phenomenal. Great views. Service as expected in Thailand. Warm and friendly. A lot of stairs. Great snorkeling, kayaking, diving. All equipment available.

A pastoral, beautiful and quiet place for a honeymoon. The rooms are large, quiet and beautiful. There is access to the sea and there is an option to get diving and swimming equipment for those who are not good at swimming. Some things that were problematic is that the hotel is far from many things and you have to take a motorcycle or walk for a long time and the hotel itself is full of stairs, which will make it difficult for a disabled person.

Wonderful hotel and wonderful staff. We will for sure return many times to this hotel and the very nice island of Koh Tao. We also used the diveshop at the hotel and the divingtrips they arranged and the divemasters were great. Ten out of ten)

This is such a gem. The resort is nested in the best bay of Koh Tao. This is where daily small snorkeling cruise operators bring their customers to see the huge sea turtles and black tip sharks that live in the bay (we saw both!). The resort's staff is very caring especially Mr. Nice the manager in charge when we were there (from dec 24 2022 to Jan 2nd 2023). He helped us with all our requests and more important it was a great source of local restaurant knowledge suggesting the best restaurants to eat. The rooms are not the newest around but they are clean and cozy. Best place to stay in Koh tao by far, if you want be in luxury environment (as luxury as you can be in Koh Tao that is a very chill out island)

We had the most amazing stay at Jamahkiri! One of our favourite places of our trip. We stayed in the original villas and the view was spectacular, the snorkelling was wonderful and the team were lovely. The room was dated but had a relaxing atmosphere, the bedding was clean and there were no mosquitoes. We also enjoyed our food, particularly the chicken wings with the papaya salad, satay sticks and the pepper pork! Breakfast was also great and served with sparkling wine if you desire. The stairs did not bother us at all. The only improvement would be to replace bathroom amenities daily. We will be back!

The best thing about the resort is the dive centre, which is totally brilliant and has the loveliest wooden dive boat we have been on. A free shuttle to town three times a day is also very helpful. Good restaurant, good wifi, good aircon and comfortable rooms. If you look to diversify food to include fresh fish, a restaurant next door run by a fisherman’s family has good options. Spa was closed in January 2023; massages in room are offered but not comfortable as proper massage tables have a head rest (beds do not).
A number of negatives. Instant coffee for breakfast (out an of instant coffee machine) is shocking (no filter coffee / ground coffee offered). Piles of rubbish on the beach create a feeling of a dump. Some rubbish was cleared during the stay. Reception was hit and miss throughout – agreed to book a morning taxi and forgot for example. Construction works in the beach area in January 2023 were well handled but occasionally noisy.
