This island is similar to other islands in Thailand in that it has beautiful scenery and friendly people. However, it is more focused on entertainment and less on peace and the environment.

There are many bars and restaurants on the island, and the nightlife is very lively. However, this can make it difficult to find a peaceful place to relax. Additionally, there is some evidence of environmental damage on the island, such as litter and pollution.

Overall, I would recommend this island to travelers who are looking for a fun and lively vacation. However, travelers who are looking for a peaceful and environmentally friendly experience may want to consider a different island.

Just had a Yamaha Nmax for 3 days, great experience, comfortable and easy to explore the remote beaches, we went to Tanote Bay & Sai Nuan, no problem with the hills, easy rental. Definitely recommended this bike and Island Travel staff, both made the trip easy.

Koh Tao's best travel agency. Although I didn't buy it because I didn't have the schedule I wanted, he kindly consulted me on how to get to Phuket without showing any dislike. If you are using the Night Ferry, we strongly recommend that you consult with us on which boat to take.

A nice easy rental experience at Island Travel. I just rented the Yamaha Nmax 155 there. It's a really comfortable scooter two up with the Mrs and plenty of power to get up the Koh Tao hills. Nice, pleasant staff in the shop, hassle free, highly recommended.

Friendly staff and good service, lots of useful knowledge of the island and suggestions and reviews of places and things tondo.
They have some new Honda Click 125 & a few older bikes ones too. We went for a new one & it was really nice. Just a few minutes walk from our resort in Sairee, easy to rent out & return, can recommend!

The safety of the scooters is not a priority here. The indicators and rear lights including the brake light did not work on mine.
When we found that out, we went back the next day and wanted to exchange the scooter. None of the five tested worked.
Then they fixed mine.
The other issue was that the engine wouldn't start after a few days and it took several attempts to get it running.
If that happens somewhere in the outback.and it doesn't start at all.good night then!
You get what you pay… (it was cheap)
But for me definitely never there again, I'd rather pay a few baht more!

I was putting off coming here to do my first visa run. I was stressing myself out & Jessy helped calm me down & answered all my questions. It wasn't as bad as I made it out to be in my head, haha.

I did the Andaman Island visa run that gave me 30 days, & I plan to come back to Island Travel for my visa extension. The trip was smooth & met some cool people who were doing the same exact thing as me. (Note: When first checking in at the ferry terminal, let them know you're doing a visa run, & they write that on your sticker. This helps staff to direct you to the right place.)

Our driver was super helpful & we didn't do too much waiting for things. The minivan ride was enjoyable - watching the city, to the country side, to the ocean go by. And stopping at the night market was fun, too. Things are so much cheaper on the mainland - I had no idea! So buy what you need there while you can!

The bunk beds on the night ferry was cute, too. However, I suggest bringing a travel pillow & blanket, or warmer clothes to sleep in. They give you a pretty flat pillow & thin blanket. I woke up freezing at some point & put my jacket on

Overall, it felt like a fun field trip! I'll definitely be using Island Travel for all my visa needs from now on!

Fishing Trip
I booked this online, but then found 3 recent reviews which all said the same thing, non english speaking unhelpful and unfriendly guides, poor lunch provided, so i was worried that i was not going to enjoy the trip. However my own experience was totally different i am glad to say. Of the 3 crew members one spoke quite good english and another could understand. They were friendly and helpful and the lunch of rice and chicken in a sweet chili sauce, whilst obviously not hot as it was brought from the shore at the start of the day, was pleasant enough and quite enjoyable. Sufficient drinks of cold drinking water were available. There were six people aboard of mixed nationalities and we all enjoyed it very much, and everyone caught some fish which was great. All in all a good day out and pretty good value for money at approximately £40 for a full 6-7 hours sea fishing, i would recommend it.

If you're buying a joint ticket going through Surat Thani check that it's not operated by Udomrat Tours. The man working there is very aggressive and unprofessional, they don't deserve to have any business. The night ferry itself is very pleasant (the big one, with beds)

I booked a trip to Koh Phayam at island travel. Instead of a speed boat, we got a slow boat to phayam, so the arriving time was absolutely wrong (like about 2h later than they claimed). If you book everything alone u pay 650 instead of 1200. +the staff was very unfriendly and we had to pick up our tickets on the other day at 4pm so we had to take a taxi and had to wait for the night ferry till 11pm with our backpacks at the peer.

We booked a flight from Surat Thani to Chiang mai, the ferry and the transfer to the airport at this place. Everything seemed very reliable and the girl who booked everything was nice. Anyways when we arrived at the airport we realised that she booked us a flight from Bangkok to Chiang mai which is not really helpful when you’re at Surat Thani airport. I tried to call the agency for help but no one picked up the phone. Just wasted our money, can’t recommend.

Sent many people to Island Travel over a number of years without a single problem. I only recommend them without receiving any reward other than directing my customers to a reputable company.

Excellent service. I only ever use island travel. They keep the whole island up to date with boat times etc. I left my passport on koh tao when traveling to Penang. Realised I didn't have it when I was in surat thani going to Hat yai. They are going to courier it to me in 2 days to my hotel in Hat Yai. Can't think of anywhere else that would provide that level of service.
