InSea Speedboat Part. Ltd reviews
27 Absolutely terrible experience.
The weather forecast already predicted heavy rain and the company still insisted on doing the Angthong tour.
It already started raining during the snorkeling in the morning and didn’t stop for the next 4 hours.
Instead of kayaking or going up to a viewpoint, almost everybody was just seeking shelter at every stop of the tour.
Even though 2/3 of the group was asking the guide to go back to Koh Samui, he still insisted on continuing the disaster til the end.
They even denied to refund us, even though we never got to see the lagoon or went kayaking on this trip.
Stay away from this company!
There are two excursions here, to the Ahtong Nature Reserve, mainly an observation tour for 2500 and a second snorkeling for 2300. I took the first one, I liked it and the place for snorkeling was not bad, but the mask was leaking a lot, I asked for another one, that one was also leaking, all because they were small for me and they all rested on my nose, but there was no choice. Lunch in the village on the island was not tasty and meager. The views are beautiful, they are delivered by speedboat, the attendant speaks good English, and there is plenty of water and Pepsi on board. Worth a visit.
Went on the Ko Tao island hopping tour & loved it. The team were super friendly, informative & helpful. We got to snorkel at two locations and see some beautiful coral and fishes. Enjoyed a buffet lunch, but the real highlight was visiting the private island and seeing the beautiful scenery from the viewpoint
Amazing Tour with Considerate Service, Though Limited Food Options
We had an amazing experience with InSea Speedboat Company in Koh Samui! The guide was incredibly helpful and friendly, ensuring everyone had a fantastic time on the Koh Tao and Koh Nangyuan tour. The package included a light breakfast, lunch and snorkelling gear too.
The team's guidance during snorkeling was top-notch, prioritizing everyone's safety. However, it's worth noting that if you're a vegetarian or vegan, you might want to bring along some snacks for the day. While the tour provided fruits and Thai curry for food, it's the only option available.
Despite the limited food choices for those with dietary restrictions, the overall tour experience was exceptional.

We had a great experience. The crew was super nice and dedicated. The tour was really beautiful and we were able to see such beautiful scenery. Especially the snorkeling was amazing, just like swimming in a big aquarium with all the fishes around you. At the trip they take many photos (also underwater) that you get access to at the end. Amazing service, would really recommend especially if you like a little adventure!
The trip was fine but they did not even provide fins for the snorkeling… the spot was okay but without proper equipment it was a poor experience overall. Boat was crowded, no visibility inside. The crew is friendly but it seems the management just wants to cash in your holiday money.
Not far from being a tourist trap.
Ok experience, staff were friendly and the boat was ok. However, there were not enough life vests for all crew and passengers. Considering the distance from the shoreline, had there been an incident in transit between the islands, this would most certainly have resulted in the death of customers.
Team looked after us and made sure we were safe and enjoyed the trip. We did the day trip to the islands to snorkel or kayak. The trip left at 9 and we arrived back as scheduled for 5pm.
It’s a speedboat and the Islands are far so be aware it’s fast, windy and loud. I enjoyed it but don’t make the mistake of thinking it was to be relaxing, which some in the boat thought it might be. I loved it!
Only downside was the snorkelling. Probably the worst coral I have seen. Some fish etc but wasn’t breathtaking at all. I had fun with the group.
The hikes aren’t hikes, they are climbs. Literally. Don’t go if you have balance issues or struggle with inclines. You can chill on the beaches where you stop. If you do climb, views are amazing!
We did the day trip from Koh Samui to Angthong National Marine Park. We really enjoyed our day and staff were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived at Wua Ta Lup we were told that we could either climb to the viewpoint or kayak as there was not time for both - this was not explained when purchasing tickets. We climbed to the viewpoint which I would recommend as the area for kayaking was tiny. It's not clear when booking that it's either climb the viewpoint or kayak, according to the leaflet you can do both. However, we still really enjoyed our day.
There is only lne boat that can not respect the area to not park the boat and this is you.
They seem not to care for the corals they live off.
Loved island hopping and Joe and his team worked very hard to ensure we all had a good time. Wished we had more time at each island but overall a wonderful experience.
Had an excellent time. Tour was well organised and the crew is excellent. Special comment for May and Adam who were simply awesome
Wonderful day trip. Snorkelling, lagoon visit, kayaking, lunch, the beach all faultless. Joe and his team were informative and friendly.
I payed for the national park tour. There’s always space for improving and we are truly grateful and happy with the staff. Friendly, honest and hardworking people. Trying their best to give a fun experience to a +40 passenger group, a 5 stops tour, in less than 8 hours. This was my experience:
They pick you up from your hotel around 7: 45-8: 30. Leave you at their offices and you have to make a pretty long line but don’t worry it moved fast. Check you in, remember to bring your ticket! Then they offer a few snacks and drinks. Bathrooms were pretty decent (using a comparison of other tours and attractions in Samui haha) a proper toilet seat, clean-ish and with paper towel.
They have a few introductions videos while you finish your snacks and then call your group. You make another line, give them your shoes (because you can’t use shoes in the boat) they put all the shoes in a box, take a picture of you before leaving (later they will try to sell you that picture printed on a plate).
The first stop, for snorkeling took 1 hour in the boat. The spot had 2-3 other boats so it was a little busy but because the place is big you don’t feel as much. There are LOTS of fish, lovely corals and other creatures. Be careful with the ones that have pointy sticks (can’t remember the name). It wasn’t dirty and actually I saw one of the crew members of my boat dive to one of the corals to collect a tissue paper and take it to the boat. My only complain about this part is that i would loved to spend more time there haha we only had 45 min and they flew so fast!
Next stop the national park. We drove next to lovely rocks but the view wasn’t great. The boats are filled with too many people and you can’t really take proper pictures without pushing others. Then we went to the sightseen of the blue lagoon but my husband and I decided not to go up because it was so full of tourists and the steps to the top didn’t look safe for us. Again 45 min to enjoy in this island.
After that we went to a beach to chill for 45 min. I did some yoga on the beach while other passengers enjoyed the kayaks and swimming.
Now lunch time! We have a plant based diet. We let them know from the moment we booked and the reminders them when we did the check in. The restaurant made a vegetable soup for us and a vegetable rice with some cucumber and fries. They also did a THAI veggie dish for the buffet but the others were so fast and finished it before we could try it haha. We appreciate the effort of adapting the lunch to our eating habits. But for future vegans and vegetarians in your tour we would recommend adding more proteins like beans or tofu. After lunch our favorite tour man Joe feed some wild horn birds and it was lovely! They sound like monkeys and they are so smart. They took the skin off the bananas and then ate them. Brilliant! We also saw some “crystal pineapples” and chat with the crew. They have amazing stories. Lunch lasted around 1 hour, maybe a little more.
Then we drove to the other side of the island and chilled for about 1 hour. It took 45 min to go back to their offices but sometimes it can take up to 1 hour. We were lucky to have suck an amazing weather. The sea was smooth and calm like a pool and the sun shinning bright with hints of a breeze.
That was my experience. Things I would love to see improved: the amount of waste the tour makes. So many plastic bottles and aluminum cans, then at the end of the trips they give you INDIVIDUAL wet wipes. The packaging of every individual wet wipe represents such a big damage to the environment plus the wipe itself. Smoking cigarets should not be permitted, not by the tourist or the crew. That’s also a big source of litter. I would love to see more environmental care. In the future, hopefully by the time we come back to Koh samui this will not only improve but radically change.
Overall a positive experience. With space for improving. I loved the crew, the snorkeling experience, the hornbirds, the people at the restaurant, the weather and feeling safe all the time.
Thank you for everything
Have just had a great day with the insea speedboat team. We had the opportunity to visit some beautiful rural places as part of the trip. They are a very friendly team, who really looked after us.
It’s OK but overpriced. Managed to pay 1600bth when the starting price was 2200 pp.
The boat on April 19th was overcrowded but within the max limit (up to 50). Food was reduced but acceptable.
Tour was ok, funny tour guide but not informative. 30 min stops for snorkeling, climbing the view point, having lunch at a fisherman's village and in the ending chilling at the beach or kayaking.they serve cold drinks all the time.only need to take money for souveniers or ice cream.
Really recommend you do not take any tour with them, the boat driver goes full speed throughout the duration of the ride and feels more like you're at an amusement park rather than on an actual boat. A roller-coaster ride was not what I signed up for.
Booked a scuba diving wtih this company including lunch, had two dives
Absolute stunning trip, instructor Adam was amazing, helpful, friendly!
Big thanks to him for this!
Highly recommend
