Not sure if I went at the wrong time (weekday afternoon), but there were at most maybe 15 shops open and selling fresh produce. Basically a normal wet market for the locals, not for tourists.

Great night time market, loads to eat and buy but a lot of the stalls sell the same thing after a while

Wonderful market to visit to see what local Thai people actually buy. Lovely and friendly vendors. Beautiful produce. Interesting meat and seafood. Very fresh!

They have extra fresh fish, delicious veg and fruit and what is the best there is a butcher hidden in corner, selling beef, slaughtered the same day and portioned to your specification. Excellent!

Local catch of the day was available in the market like shrimps, prawns, squid, octopus and fish. Vegetables, eggs, snacks and some herbs were available too.

Very interesting to see how local Thai people live and make a living. You could say this is the real fisherman's village. Plenty of local produce available. This is not at all touristy and aimed very much at local people, our tour man asked us if we wanted to see a quieter side to the island.
