Health Oasis Resort

This is not a luxury resort but it is good enough. If you are sirious wanting a more healthy life and less nummer of centimeters around your waist this is the place to be. It is not a simple holiday at a beach resort. It is hard work. But you are not alone. The staff are all 5 stars at last. You also make new friends among the other guests. The price? It is not cheap but worth every little bath you pay. So are you serious about your life? Then go there.

The weight loss program is the reason that I am here. But I love the resort with a beautiful beach in front. The room is basic so you need to bring your own stuff.

Because the resort is mainly for people who want to participate the health program. Everyone almost shares the same fasting and nutrition schedule, therefore foods are provided in a central hall, and there is no need to have a refrigerator in the room.

I have lost a few kilograms, so it could prove that the programs work.

I have been twice to Heath Oasis for a detox. I will start with the Pro’s:
1. It works: their program exists for more than 20 years and it works. It’s an effective detox from which you will gain many health benefits.
2. Location: the resort is well located on a beach front in a quiet area. It’s perfect to enjoy the view and relax
3. Thai staffs the Thai staff is very friendly and will do everything they can to please you.
Con’s:
1. General condition of the resort: it’s clear that the owner are milking the cow and limiting as much as possible the investments:
- gym: cheap machines that are not working or rusty.
- room: during heavy rains I had water pouring into my room from the walls…
I had also an invasion of mosquitos in my room that could’ve really solved.
- leisure: one night we wanted to play a chess game. There were pawns but no board… there was a ping pong table, but broken, etc.
- steam room: no great smell
2. Activities: if you travel from far and hope to see something from Koh Samui, you will be disappointed. No real activities are organised. And if there is one, it’s charged.
Will I come back? I’m not sure… but the results may for some outweigh the expected leisure!

Very cosy and caring, probably the best detox resort in the World. Everything runs smoothly, well organized. Friendly community and specially cute house dogs.

Stayed here back in 98 when it was healing child resort.loved my month stay. I came to stay here after my friend had a run in with the owner on a coach from Bangkok and when we got to surat thani the owner asked if we had anywhere to stay being young and travelling we did not so we took up the offer. I loved the restraunts pineapple in batter (forget the name). At the time there was 108 Baht to the pound.love Thailand and koh Samuel.thank you

The resorts ambience is lovely and very serene. It is not a 5 star resort, but offers an amazing natural environment with calming greenery and on the beach, therefore the ideal environment for a detox retreat.

The food in the restaurant by the talented chef Thuzar is nutritious and delicious. Each and everyone of the staff are amazing, helpful and this is what really makes health oasis unique.

Would highly recommend

The beach all along this coast is beautiful, however this place is really overpriced. The room sizes are tiny and most are quite old. The staff is friendly and service is okay but overall the place looks very tired and worn out as it feels like it was built 40 years ago and never updated. Primarily this place is geared for its detox service but you don't necessarily have to stay there to join their program. If you want to use their Detox Services you can, pay just for that and stay somewhere else nearby for less than 30% the cost for house twice the size. I had a meal at their restaurant several years ago and also asked to see the rooms but after seeing their small size, the grounds and learning of the price, decided not to stay.

So good to be back. So friendly and leaving totally transformed. The Yoga with Sakda is awesome. I am stronger and more flexible, can now move into areas I didn’t know existed. I hated it day 1 and now love it!

My first time at Health oasis’s was back in 2012. It was all a very new and eye-opening experience back then. I felt, after 10 days of detox, like a completely new person. I lost weight, my skin glowed, I had a constant smile on my face. That underlying constant anxiety that persists in everyday life seemed to have faded and almost disappear.
The Health Oasis resort is not a fancy place by any means. But it is a very down to earth, clean and an attentive place. It’s a place where material things don’t and shouldn’t matter. I realized after 2 days of detox, that I didn’t want to wear any make up or perfume, the smell and the feel of these things made me feel ill. My skin would be clearer and healthier by the day.
At first, one might feel lost and confused, but once you get into the routine of the day, things flow with ease and peace. There’s no drama. No demands and thankfully, no temptations. I went back to my husband looking and feeling completely different.

I decided years later to visit again. I had been to other detox retreats in other countries, but this time, I took a close friend along to health oasis. I believe she truly needed to be in such a place. It just brings you down to the basics, and you start to look at your own emotions and thoughts.
Sure, the place is old, but it has character. I even remember some of the same staff that were there years ago. It’s like coming back to a family. Yes some staff had changed but the general function of the program was exactly the same.
If you are looking for a place that has an excellent detox ethos, not crazy expensive and want a change in your body and mind, this is the place. It’s not meant to be a luxurious holiday resort. It’s a place for healing and rejuvenation. And I’m sure I will be back there as soon as this covid business is under control.

An outstanding detox experience in a lovely beach front setting on Koh Samui. I would highly recommend the Health Oasis Resort for its professional, experienced and helpful team, offering a friendly family style atmosphere and supportive environment.

Everything ran smoothly, always supplies and Katie was amazing! Unfortunately Jan in accounts was very rude and unhelpful and the staff could have smiled a bit more! Great value for money as it is right on the beach!

Beautiful place & the staff are so warm & friendly. The other guests are so friendly & have good energy. Beautiful place to relax & letting go of any physical, mental or emotional baggage that one may carry without being aware. Great place to reset your health & start learning to eat mindfully & wisely. To make good food choices for a healthy & happy life.

This is now by far my favourite health retreat / detox place. I have been twice now and find it the best value for money and have got excellent results both times. It is not 5 star by any means but it is clean, excellent staff, nice beach, away from the hussle and bussle and a great detox program. Very thorough.

I originally stayed here back in Feb 2016 and had an amazing experience. Unfortunately, the place has gone downhill so much that I ended my return visit after less than one day!

To start with, the ‘poolside room’ we had been promised turned out to be a room right at the very end of the complex, next to a half finished building, complete with a concrete pit of stagnant, standing water. It later transpired that they had tried to fob this room off onto two other people and they had both rejected it too.

After telling them it was unacceptable, they immediately changed our room to another one - next to the very small pool as opposed to the large pool.

No problem, as at least the large pool was a 30 second walk away, right? Wrong! The large pool was completely empty, due to a leak that had occurred the week before.

So we made another complaint about how we were never informed about the broken swimming pool, and were told by the Thai manageress that they ‘did not need to tell anyone about the broken pool because the small pool still worked’ and we ‘were not here for the pool, we were there for the detox’!

They then suggested that I mailed Sam, the owner who apparently lives in Australia. I did this immediately and received no reply.

So the next morning, after orientation, we were all set to begin our nine day detox, whereupon my wife and I were stopped by the manageress on our way to our massage and rudely told that we needed to pay the 86,000 bill, in full, before we could begin.

Because I hadn’t yet received a reply from the owner, I told her that I would settle the bill once Sam had mailed me back about the pool situation.

At this point, the manageress told me that I hadn’t emailed Sam and took me into the office to show me the email inbox - and sure enough, me email wasn’t there, despite it showing in my sent items. Even more suspiciously, when I tried to click on their computers ‘deleted items’ folder, the manageress pushed me out of the way and told me that I was not allowed to touch the computer, however when I asked why the email I sent to Sam would have been readable by the staff, she said that they only have the one email address and both her and Sam can access it.

So I tell her that I would like to speak with Sam on the phone, whereupon I was rudely told that she was the only person who was allowed to speak with him - and then she proceeded to go into the back office and make a fifteen minute phone call.

Upon finishing the call, and emerging from her office, her story had completely changed. This time, she said that they posted a message on the website last week and proceeded to tell me that I had to pay in full before our programs could begin (we were now already 45 minutes late for our scheduled 1 hour slots).

At this point, we decided that enough was enough, and that we would leave the resort immediately, whereupon the manageress told us that we would need to pay for a 3 night minimum stay as it was ‘company policy’ and if we didn’t pay, there would be serious trouble.

Obviously we didn’t pay this as we hadn’t begun any of the programs - although we still had to pay about 3,600 baht for our ‘complimentary free night’.

I could also mention about how the WiFi didn’t work properly either, but on the grand scheme of things, this is a minor point.

On a final note, I think it’s incredibly sad that instead of dealing with issues brought about by their guests, the Health Oasis manageress elected to lie and deceive.

It really is a little Oasis. Lovely, kind and supportive staff, beautiful long beach with great views and away from the chaos of the big towns. The cleansing programmes have really helped me and are very reasonably priced.as are the rooms. I can see myself returning here on a regular basis.

Such an amazing experience and journey to optimum health & vitality. I've just come back feeling brand new on every level, cant recommend the program enough! I booked in for 12 days and extended my stay for another week. The program is well thought out and highly professional. You're kept busy all day with a multitude of programs and add ons. I did a full 10 day course of accupuncture and was able to reduce some daily medications by 50%. The staff are wonderful and professional, Yan & Katie, the Health Managers explained everything and demonstrated Kombucha making and liver talks which were so interesting, both were highly knowledgeable & always available to answer my many questions. I met great friends there on this solo journey and we all loved it. The resort is perfect for a total transformation detox, the rooms are clean & bright and it's well run and managed. I'll be back next year for sure. Thank you Health Oasis, one of my best trips ever. It felt like home, epic results, excellent value for money. 5 stars!

Great place to detox, lose weight, chill and reassess one's relationship with one's body, spirit and mind. Run very professionally, and always with friendly service.

Wonderful! The staff is beyond amazing. They care about your overall detox experience. I was there for 10 days and certainly wish I stayed longer. Gorgeous location. I am certainly looking to come back and my skin and digestive system never felt better.

Very dirty and unsafe, owner does not care about anything but making money and up selling items. Police were there raiding the Please. Most of the time people smoke all over the place, dogs need to be taken care of and rid of lice and fleas. Sad place, very upset about experience.
