Guan Yu Shrine

เจ้าพ่อกวนอู ตั้งอยู่แถวใกล้โค้งหัวถนนบนเกาะสมุย เป็นสถานที่ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ผู้คนนิยมมากราบไหว้ขอพรกับท่านเป็นจำนวนมาก มีความสวยงามเด่นสง่ามากๆ

One of those places where you can stop during a tour around the island. Cool place to look at.

Located on the street. It's easy to stop but you can spend a minute or two here if you're interested. Directly opposite is the stand and a small bar.

This is a Chinese temple located on the road south of Lamai Beach. The statue of Guan Yu was very impressive.
There are also restaurants on the premises.

This place was cool as heck! I use to play dynasty warriors and this reminded me just of it and brought me back to childhood

It's worth stopping if you're passing by for a brief look at this place. Chinese temple dedicated to Guan Yu, whose statue is the dominant feature here, creating a shrine.

It is dedicated to the Chinese deity Guan-Yu, an important figure in Chinese history.

He was a famous military General and played a vital role in the Chinese civil war that gave rise to the demise of Han and the beginning of the Three Kingdoms period.

Beautiful well maintained statue of Guan Yu. There are stores around that you can sit and have some food and drinks. To enter the shrine there are some rules so make sure to bring some long pants when coming and dress appropriately

มากราบไหว้เทพกวนอูขอพร ก่อนกลับบ้าน มีที่จอดรถสะดวก มีร้านกาแฟให้นั่งรอ (มี cafe amazon ฝั่งตรงข้าม) มีที่ให้ไหว้แก้ปีชงด้วย

A place of worship for me and my partner once a month. There are normally staff onsite to guide you if you are unsure of the steps to worship.

There are also a couple of restaurants nearby within a 1 min walk. Thai food and Chinese food are all available which is quite convenient.

Large parking area for both motorbikes and cars right in front of the shrine.

We accidently discovered this gem on the island and it s so beautiful. Also had the best ice cream in samui from the outside chinese restaurant (on the right hand side), with incredible local toppings that we chose.
