หินตา หินยาย Grandpa & Grandma Rocks reviews
24 Nothing special.
Nice sea view.
It's hard to say where "grandma" is.
A bit far-fetched.
Such a famous place of pilgrimage, symbolizing male and female nature. It's two rocks, nothing special. But it belongs to a visit to Ko Samui. Lots of souvenir stalls around, nice sea view, lots of tourists.
Wonderful natural scenary spot with awesome view of sea and rocks. Veryyy tasty cocunut ice ream
Original mais pas grand chose à voir. Poursuivre en faisant une halte au rock bar pour se rafraîchir dans une ambiance rasta insolite
Glad we took our mopeds here! The rocks are huge and look much better in person. It was windy which was much appreciated on the hot day. Be sure to try the coconut ice cream while you’re there - from any of the sellers. There is a hidden restaurant on the right side (right before you reach the rocks) that has a pleasant view of the ocean. I highly recommend going there!
Very beautiful on a clear sunny day. There is a lovely view, clear water to swim in, a market for souvenirs, food and drinks. Well worth a visit. But not somewhere to spend the day or more than a couple of hours.
There's nothing much here except for the regular stores and the rocks. Not worth the trip down unless you're going somewhere through this place. The story behind the place is also not so great and sounds made up for sure.
Interesting stone formation with the turquoise water Seaview! Make sure you up to the viewpoint to have an overall view of Lamai beach. You have to pay 10baht as entrance fees for the maintenance of the viewpoint. The breathtaking scenery definitely worth more than the 10baht you paid!
I'm assuming since you're in Ko Samui, you've been to Krabi/Phuket etc and if that's the case then Grandpa Grandma rocks and other places in Ko Samui would look much more banal and non-grand to you.
Skip this place if you have better things to do or just want to relax, go if you really have to check items off your list!
It seems to be a fairly big tourist attraction and I wondered why, but if you're looking for a quick laugh or an interesting story, it's worth a short visit. There are a bunch of little shops nearby where you can grab a coconut, ice cream, post cards, or whatever. You have to walk to the end of the rocks to see the "grandma" rocks, and that's pretty much the highlight. The rocks can be a bit slippery, so be careful.
Beautiful area with some a cool bar and lots of shops. 10 baht to park and not a lot to see if that's your only reason to be there.
Samui favorite tourist attraction. Very beautiful scenery but very hot as there is no shades. Becareful rocks near the water are slippery.
Unusual rock formations looking like human genitals of both genders are wound with folklore to produce a fun environment. The crash of waves and sea breezes are very refreshing.
It's just big holy rocks with a 10baht parking and lots of vendors. One looks like a sitting man with a big member and another you can figure out looks like grandma croch.bet you can find better to do in Samui than loose time over there. Its a nice sunset view point tho hence the 3 stars
Had fun having good laugh at the indecency of the place. Bought some malay dodol junk food from an old auntie at one of the stall. Pity her at first to have to work at her age. But ended up getting cheated with old goods. No regret though.
Excellent place and good view of the sea and rocks. There are 2 small places from where you can go down to the beach also. Water is clear like blue as usual. Not many shops. Only few to sell ice-cream tshirt and souvenirs. No place to have proper meal so be prepared.
Nice place for photo taking or snorkeling.
Beach is calm and sandy. Much rock formation for fishes and crabs to hide and for you to explore.
Plenty of open spaces for you to take photos. Many drink stalls selling coconut juice at 50 baht. Some souvenirs stalls as well.
