DD Hut

The view is good. Totally OK if you are a couple. Restaurant nearby is a bit loud if you have kids who needs to go sleep early.

A very enjoyable stay in every respect. Our check-in was delayed by an hour due to previous guests, but we received free breakfasts for the entire stay. I recommend everything

Absolutely awesome place to stay for a relaxing trip. It has an infinitely pool, nicely designed villa in a cute small street.the manager Mrs. Pat is wonderful lady with super friendly nature.
Overall it's a lovely place to stay for your vacation in Kho Tao

The architecture of the hotel is awesome and the rooms have excellent views. However, the hotel is really old. There was some renovation going on.

Wonderful stay! We loved our room and the pool. Thank you Pat for arranging our excursions and transfers and for the extra bit of help. Hospitality was top notch. Loved DDHut!

The lighthouse villa was among the most beautiful rooms I've ever stayed in (and I travel a LOT). It's obvious the owners have put a lot of thought into the design of the room, incl.the private pool. Can't recommend enough.

I stayed here for 5 nights.the owner of the hotel was super nice! And made sure my stay was super comfy, she helped with arranging transfer from the island and even drove me to the pier before the speedboat. The room was spacious and clean, and the price was very reasonable! I would definitely recommend.

The rooms are clean and nice.
We had a little problem with the AC and they found a good & quick solution for us. We were pleased

Location of DDHut is the best, its between sairee and mea haad. Its near to everything.

I went to Koh tao with my girlfriend, and our stay there was magical especially due to the DD Hut hotel!
They can help you dealing with anything, finding the best places and booking the best tours.
The pool view for the sunset was incredible I want to go back there to watch another sunset, the 2 restaurants are quite good! And there is a bar in the pool where you can order anything you want.
The workers in the hotel are always on point and amazing, they smile all the time and are very Nice to everybody.
Pat is like the boss there, she is an amazing Human, always trying to help and she took really good care of us!
If you are still hesitating for which hotel to choose you should really consider the DD hut, it’s a really good choice, you are near every cool places to hang out and you will enjoy at the maximum your stay at Koh Tao!

The location is very fine very near to the walking street and not far from mae had pier yet the scene from the room and the room itself was very nice and good staff too If you find place where you can stay close to everything but not bustling this would do well

Must visit. That was the best food on the Koh Tao. Also with vegeterian/vegan option.
Staff is soo friendly. Price are very good.

Confort 3/10: sanitaires très vétustes et sales, propreté très insatisfaisante à l’arrivée, ménage non fait pendant 5 jours, climatisation défectueuse, serviettes de bain et sanitaires très usées et non changées.la liste est longue.
Quant au petit déjeuner, passer votre chemin.
Accueil 1/10: comportement très désagréable et négligent de ce qui semble être les 2 managers (en photo). Vente de circuits non réalisables, à la limite de l’escroquerie.
Bref, comportement inacceptable quand on travaille dans l’hôtellerie. D’autant plus surprenant dans ce merveilleux pays du sourire où je n’ai jamais constaté un tel comportement lors de mes différents séjours.
En résumé pour le prix, l’agrément et tout le reste: beaucoup mieux partout ailleurs sur l’île. A fuir.

Pitch 7/10: the only positive point of this address
Comfort 3/10: very dilapidated and dirty toilets, very unsatisfactory cleanliness on arrival, cleaning not done for 5 days, defective air conditioning, bath towels and toilets very worn and not changed.the list goes on.
As for breakfast, go your way.
Reception 1/10: very unpleasant and negligent behavior of what appears to be the 2 managers (in photo). Sale of impractical circuits, bordering on fraud.
In short, unacceptable behavior when working in the hotel industry. All the more surprising in this wonderful land of smiles where I have never seen such behavior during my various stays.
In summary for the price, the amenity and everything else: much better everywhere else on the island. To flee.

Such a beautiful bungalow right by the crystal clear sea and beach. Skyline pool with a beautiful layout.

I really enjoyed my stay here and the service was outstanding. The only negative was the shower was one of the worst I have seen in Thailand.

After reading some of the reviews here I was a bit worried that this place will not stand in line with our standard but I was completely wrong. First of all, the experience started with a great welcoming manager- I didn't catch her name but she was lovely. The resort is located in a perfect location- 5 minutes from sairee beach and area (where all bars and restaurants are), our room was clean and beautiful with a nice balcony. We had everything we needed including cable tv, a fan and an air conditioning, hair dryer and a safe. It really depends what you are looking for- it is not luxurious and yes, it is a bit lack of style and quiet simple yet clean. The bed was very comfortable! Enjoy.

Its a nice hotel, it has all the normal services and its near the dock, also they offer free taxi to return to the dock. The pool is nice and clean but the best part is the view of the ocean. Also there are some rooms with view to the ocean it is worth the extra price to take this room. The only issue i see is that the bed is not soft nor confortable.

Definitely Highly Recommended!

We had a horrible experience when renting the scooter (the location next to Ban’s). First, our tire got flat and we paid 200 baht (fair enough of course). He gave us another scooter and the tire was flat after 30 minutes. Another 200 baht. So far this can happen of course.

When we returned the scooter, he found this tiny little scratch on the front of the scooter. You could barely see it, but he was very much convinced that it would cost us 2000 baht (we bargained to 1000 baht). So bye bye deposit. Please reconsider another scooter rental, which doesn’t ask a high price like this for an almost invisible scratch. I have a feeling they do this on purpose (also looking at the other reviews).
