Crystal Bay Yacht Club reviews
18Very well located hotel. The beach is magnificent. The staff is very friendly. The rooms and the swimming pool are a bit standard and aging but it's still OK. Good breakfast. You can rent scooters at the hotel for 300bath per day
Been there for two night. Excellent location. Service is also very good. Foods are a bit expensive. It's not suitable for south Asian as no chili was added I think. Highly recommend. We were feeling like alien as we were the only person with full clothes.we enjoyed our stay a lot. The markets were bit far like nearest is lamai market which was 2.5 km from the hotel. We walked till there. While returning we hopped on to open van. The driver asked 100 bath per person. Finally we came by 50 bath per person.
My Wife and i Stayed there for 2 and a Half Weeks, we had an Amazing Time, we Stayed in a Beach side Villa and then swapped to a hill side villa with a view which were both amazing, we found the place very relaxing and Quite Social/Private Depends what your looking for. The Staff were very Friendly and polite, The Owner "Bas" is a great guy, friendly and easy to Deal with. The Kitchen and food were at a High Standard with "Carl" the Manager always checking things were running Smoothly, we will Defiantly be Back. Jase and Bec
It has always been my favourite spot for swimming here. It is the cleanest beach I've been to in Samui. They have a nice restaurant and massage place there.
Went for a swim and a meal. Snorkelling was great, although the walk to deeper water was challenging, lots of rocks.
I really love this resort nice staff and good food and wonderful seaview I’d love to come back aging ️
Crystal Bay Yacht Club. In all of the places we have stayed in Thailand this was by far the worst experience. The pictures are very misleading and some of the reviews we felt have been exaggerated or just false. We stayed in the two bedroom villa so the solo rooms may differ but families and couples please read on.
1. The rooms are bare bones. Do not think luxury like soap, shower cap, dental kit or any of the nice little touches you get ANYWHERE else.
2. The TV was broken and not even hooked up.
3. Do you like sleeping on concrete mattresses? Well then this IS your place. The bed was horrible and you will need a massage to fix it.
4. The smell. The bathrooms here reek of sewage and to have to close the door and leave the fan going just to not have that smell permeate the rest of the room.
5. No view at all!
6. Theft. Yes you read that. One of our party had their bag opened and things rifled through to find some cash. The staff here do nothing except ask if they took it. Who would admit to that? The safe here does not work, you have to ask them which when you just get in drop your bag and then head out to do not have the time.
7. Bugs. Okay so it's Thailand and you expect some but the tiny bugs in the room crawling on the bed is just gross. It does not scream romantic or high end.
8. Breakfast. 360 Baht for a big breakfast with dry sausages and unseasoned beans. Don't do it. Go find a local spot for 60 baht and save the 300 baht.
9. Location is not the best to walk and do anything. But it has a decent beach.
10. The drinks are about the one redeemable thing. The wait staff are good and the pours are liberal. We did enjoy the drinks but a lot of this was just overshadowed by 500 dollars missing from our family.
Overall: 1 star hotel. The beaches are just as nice north or south of here.
Nice hotel with direct location on the beach.
The rooms were okay but nothing special. The restaurant was really good with reasonable prices!
The place was very different from the photos. It has a bad vibe.
Staff is not so friendly, which was weird. Beach is okay.
Breakfast is ok but expensive comparing to other places. Restuarant is expensive as well, but they had live music 1 night which was really good.
For the same price we payed here we got a luxury apartment in Boput.so it was disapponting.
Hidden gem! Have a bungalow on the beach! Wish we were staying here much longer. Will definitely stay here again.
Ein schöner Platz für einen Ausflug und Besichtigung.das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit.das Hotel ist aber doch äusserlich sicherlich Renovationsbedürftig.aber ansonsten passt es
Nice location if you only want to lie on a beach. Very little in the vicinity with the nearest area of bars being Lamai which is just over a mile away. Much better going the other direction to Chaweng.
The hotel is sweet nicely located and oh so quiet at night. The rooms are very clean and the beach is gorgeous. The only thing I would change is the sun bed covers- they are dirty and soaked with water - I mean don’t get me wrong it’s a - u get what you pay for places (we payed around 3000 baht for the ocean view room for 2 ppl 2 nights) but if this would’ve been fixed the place would’ve gotten 5 stars from
me. Can not say anything about the food cuz prices were way to high so we choose one of the other hotels restaurant instead. Also there is a 7-elven just minutes away. Like always in more green areas in Asia - bring mosquito repellent. Though this should be clear I don’t understand people blame the hotel for the mosquitoes- I mean common people that’s on you ;-)
Not everything advertised in the website is available as service; such as live band, tours & other recreation activities.
The location is just fantastic, just by the beach which is not crouded, surrounded by trees and rocks. Stunning view. Very close distance to the beach even from the cheapest room.
The restaurant/beach club has beautiful view and is well equipped. You can even work from there as they have plugs and wifi connections. The prices are high though.
Finally the rooms, the weakest point. They were very spacious which is great buy they seemed a bit delapidated with paint coming off. There were a lot of ants in our room as well as mosquitos, so make sure to take some repellent. The water pressure was so low that it took forever to shower. The mattress was comfy though.
Overall had a fantastic stay, especially as I'm not a very picky guest
We got the cheapest room which is furthest from the beach with no washing point for our feet outside our room, the room tiles were loose and wobbly, water pressure was weak, sheets weren't exactly clean with stains on our pillow covers.
The beach however, is absolutely stunning with space for white sand and relaxing as well as rocky outcrops if you wish to snorkel with your own gear.
It's possible to access the beach by parking at the yacht club even without a room booking there.
The bar is not too shabby with reasonable prices, standard for resort bars.
An enjoyable stay, good for what it is. The location is truly delightful - a small, secluded, sheltered beach. The staff make an honest effort, and the kitchen is good. However the buildings are quite run down, well past their prime. Strange odours and lots of mosquitoes at times. And the sunbed mats do definitely need replacing! If you can look past these downsides you’ll have a lovely restful holiday.
