Chaweng Resort

Great budget hotel in Chaweng. It is believed that this is one of the first on Chaweng. It even survived the coronavirus, but from December 2023 it will be closed for renovation. I would like the modernization to affect only the interior of the rooms; it would be nice to preserve the exterior, because there are few hotels left in the Thai style on Samui

We stayed in a superior bungalow for 5 nights and would definitely stay here again. Although the place was dated we didn’t mind this at all. It’s quite a nice style and actually adds to the experience of staying here. Admittedly the room could have been cleaner - bed and bathroom was clean however floor needed a mop. The resort itself is very pretty with access to the beach and a decent pool. Breakfast is available but we never had it. TV in the room which took a bit of getting used to but you can watch Netflix and YouTube on it if you want. Big fridge in the room was handy. Lovely big bed, very comfy. Overall definitely worth the money!

For the price and what it is, you get great value, it’s walk on to the beach makes it nice, not the flashiest accommodation but it has everything thing you need. The staff are very friendly! If your on a budget it’s a great spot!

A really nice place to stay and have breakfast too. Super friendly folks, but then in this country, everybody seems super friendly.

Rooms are amazing, large and had hit water. But the service was pretty poor. Request a room clean 3 times and never got done and if you want to charge your phone, the plug sockets are no where near the bed which is annoying if you love watching videos at night. Other than that, pool is really nice, it's on the beach and has a nice hidden away feel to it that makes it feel more of a holiday resort.

The Chaweng resort is a very dated hotel. The position of the hotel is amazing. When we was here only one pool was open as they are renovating the place bit by bit. The staff don't speak very good English but are kind. The shower in our room was luke warm water, and the shower head was broken, the property had an ant problem, but we looked past it. Even though the rooms was dated it has so much potential.

Great location with private beach. Rooms are spacious and have big bathrooms. Staff is friendly and the food served is delicious and authentic. The location is really nice. The beach is peaceful. I loved the place for its view, beachfront, quite and peaceful. Perfect for a long stay where you can focus and read some quality books.

We just stayed for 2 nights at Chaweng resort in July after the covid19 lock down. Here are pros and cons:

We had two rooms one of the which had a mild sewer smell.

They stole personal belongings and money from our room. They refused to show us the cctv footage and when we went to the police we realised that this has happened before with other guests. STAY AWAY!

Beautiful beach, clean swimming pools with liovely views. Resort a little dated however peaceful bungalows, once the nearby resorts have been completed!

The hotel quiet. Location was so so. The pool not really nice.everything is very old. Breakfast was very poor. I ask for cheese they don’t have it.coffee was awful.

It should be updated. Breakfast average. Rooms clean. Location is good to the center close. Very peaceful atmosphere in the hotel.

Superb location. Right on beach. I totally loved the place. It must have been an old five star property. Infra is traditional and slightly old but very well maintained. Worth every penny spent.

Nice place, location is great. A little old and worn but still OK. Cleaning and general maintenance could be better. Breakfast buffet not great for western taste, but ok. But in the end location beats everything.
Note that right now, Dec 2018, the neighbouring plot to the south is a construction site.

We had a fun time at this resort. The separated rooms create a little privacy. Very close to the beach. Peaceful.

Worth the money.
Bonglows are big but old.
Close to the beach and far from chaweng noise part.
The resterunts are good and cheaper than the center of chaweng.
Taxi to chaweng center 200 bat for 5 pepole

Good sized bungalow with aircon and garden view. Hotel is right on the beach, although very tidal so not great for swimming. Lots of shops and restaurants near by but around a 25/30 minute walk to the main part. Taxis and baht bus very expensive compared to other parts of Thailand.
