Cafe 69

Still on our 4 week food safari of Koh Samui. Cafe 69 is epic, easily the best food we have had on Samui, and rivalling the best we have had in all Thailand. We did not expect this, but we're genuinely happily surprised. Definitely Michelin Star worthy I believe. This is well thought-through, clever and sophisticated food.

We had the tom yum cones - 10/10.

We also had the green curry chicken pies - 10/10

We also had the green papaya salad with soft shell crab - 10/10.

Chef Vivian manages to bring together perfect Thai flavours with Japanese or Singaporean style presentation.

Halal food by chef/owner, tasty lamb shank with masaman curry. The chicken pie was amazing. This place is a must-try.

Es kommt zwischen all den anderen Restaurants sehr unscheinbar daher. Der Name Cafe69 offenbart es auch nicht. Aber die Küche ist überragend. Der Service durch den Inhaber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Mehrpreis gegenüber den einfacheren Lokalen wird gerechtfertigt durch die Qualität der Speisen. Absolute Empfehlung.

Einfach nur klasse! Thai-Food auf fancy gemacht

Ganz tolles Lokal. Die Bedingung ist sehr schnell, freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Getränke sind sehr lecker, Matcha mit Yuzu Frucht ist definitiv ein Erlebnis. Das Essen kam auch sehr schnell und unglaublich lecker: Tom Yum Seafood Cones waren mein Highlight.

Great place. Food is delicious and you can feel there is a very good cooking technique and quality products behind. Don’t leave Koh Samui without trying this restaurant!

Plates you must try, the fried chicken with the amazing home made kimchi, the steak with green curry and the dumplings.

Cafe 69 is probably the best Thai restaurant I’ve been to. I’d heard good things, and when we showed up there I thought we were at the wrong place. The decor is pretty quirky but this cafe LETS THE FOOD (and service) DO THE TALKING IN A BIIIG WAY.

In my opinion, this is Michelin Star level food at an incredibly good price. There is great variety and we sampled a whoooole lot. Everything was beautifully cooked with amazing flavours and the presentation was immaculate.

The staff were so kind, really knew their menu, showed us pictures of every dish and were really accommodating.

Right up there with the best resteraunt experiences I’ve ever had.

Will come back every time I visit samui!

A cozy restaurant with chic design. Thai fusion and creative food were served. The owner cum chef is extremely friendly and talented.

Appetizers served were finger-licking. Duck dumplings, mango green curry puff and soft-shell crab rolls were a hit.

The mains were all tasty too. We kept coming back to try out the dishes.

Reasonable prices. Love that it exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended for frequent visits.

The food is delicious and special, great cocktails, and with a gracious and professional service by the staff and owner/chef.
The restaurant itself may be small, and the style wasn't my fav, but there's a lot of character to it, the food is a celebration, and cocktails made generously, which says a lot about them, and makes it a "must visit! " as far as I'm concerned. I highly recommend.

Still a great place! We came before covid and the place hasn’t changed. Still a great and inventing food that really makes the difference with the other restaurants in Samui. The team is always as friendly. Don’t be bothered by the location -by the road- it is worth it a thousand times!

Yes it is as good as everyone says. Had the duck dumplings with red sauce starter. Wow! Surprised. Delicious can't wait to go back!
