Blue Lagoon (Emerald Lake) reviews
19 Very nice,
The climb is a bit of a struggle because the stairs are more like ladders, but the view is great
Beautiful island in Angthong National Park, on the way here you will pass the famous Monkey Rock, a huge rock jutting out of the sea and shaped like a monkey's head. Once on the island, it is under nature protection. In the middle of the island there is an emerald green lake, it takes about 45 minutes to go up and about 30 minutes to go down, but I don't think it's worth the view because it's just a normal lake that changes depending on the light the color changes
The view was nice from the top. Stairs were very steep, but the climb was very short. Would’ve loved to hike around but don’t think there was a trail.
Definetely worth the visit. To get to the lagoon you just need to climb around 150m above sea level, but be careful, these are very steep steps.
After 10-15 mins you get to the top and see this wonder. Of course, it is a protected area, so you cannot swim or go near the water, as it is all fenced, but you can enjoy the landscape.
Just take a look at the pic/vids I took and you get to decide.
Last thing, depending on the travel agency that you book (we did through click2gotothailand), you can do the national park (a thougher hike to get to the top), snorkeling, kayaking, lunch, and end up here for the las hike to the Blue Lagoon. Then, you can enjoy the rest of the time they give you on the beach while waiting for the boat to go back to Ko Samui. However, this is not the best beach (rocks all over the place). It has wonderful views of the other little islands though.

Very beautiful, pay attention to the steps, they are not many, but steep
In any case it's worth it
Amazing beautiful place! We arrived to this national park with Orion Tours which gave us amazing half day trip, I really Recommend
Breathtaking views. An hour speed boat ride from Samui. You cannot swim in it. Quite a steep hike to get to.

Highly recommended
Emeralds water
You can see beautiful fish crabs the stuff take care very good
Very nice but too much tourist and you have to follow the person front of you and wait of your turn to take all the same picture but our guide was cool and took picture of us. It was also cool to take a kayak and go to the rock about 200m away and turn around and come back
The Blue Lagoon was the last stop of our tour in the Ang Thong Marine Park. You need to climb some steep stairs in order to see the lake but you won’t be disappointed. The color of the water is bizarre but yet very beautiful. Not bad having it as the closing of our tour.
Such a beautiful lake. I highly recommend taking the stairs all the way down to the lake as you can see fish and sting rays through the crystal clear water.
Beautiful lake
The stairs leading to the lake are well made. Ensure you take the tour guide's advice about which route to take to go to the bottom and top viewpoints. Swimming in the lake is not allowed. The island has a designated smoking area and a shop to buy snacks. You can do this trek with bare feet although the sand can get hor so I would recommend wearing some footwear. I saw some people going with a personal guide which I personally feel is not necessary at all.
No good if u cant walk up steps it's a 150 metre climb to viewing point so no good at all for people who are not stable on there feet
Easy to walk up but need caution to climb up the steps, not sure if the other side of the steps where it is leading to.
Has some steep steps to get to the lookout and then climb down to the bottom of the stairs. Was interesting to see. Though there were a few tourist there.
Visited here on a tour of the marine park with 100 Degrees East. Short but steep walk up to the view point which has a great view of the lagoon. You can't swim in the lagoon since it is slightly acidic.
Wow! Beautiful place! Went on a Red Dragon boat tour and they really showed us how good it was!
