Bangrak Market

Not really a tourist market. More so for locals. Obviously cheaper than home prices although you will pay more than double for most things that a Thai will. Also, not the most hygienic place to buy your fresh produce unless you really know what you are doing.

Local market selling mainly seafood, vegetables and groceries. Prices were a bit higher than the wet market in Lamai but it got more choices.

อาหารทะเลสดมากกกกกกกกก มีทุกอย่าง สามารถไปที่นั่นแล้วซื้อทุกอย่างไปทำอาหารได้เลย มีครบหมด ทั้งผักผลไม้ เป็น Local market ราคาไม่แพงเลย บางอย่างก็ถือว่าราคาถูก คุ้มค่ามากๆ แนะนำครับ

อาหารทะสดของถูกขะสดทั่งขึ้นจากทะใหม แม่ค้าพูดจาดีขะไก้ลถนนคนเดินข้ามผั่งถนนเป็นถนนคนเดินอาหารนานาชนิดกระเป๋วรองทา้วจา้

A bit overpriced but there's stuff you want in any other markets - buckwheat and a lot of other healthy carbs

เป็นตลาดที่ขับรถผ่านบ่อยๆครับช่วงที่มาสมุย ว่าจะมาแวะหลายครั้งแล้วแต่ไม่เคยมาแวะสักที วันนี้มีโอกาสเลยได้มาเดินครับ ความตั้งใจคืออยากจะมาซื้ออาหารทะเลไปทานที่ที่พัก เป็นตลาดที่มีสินค้าหลากหลาย ทั้งพืชผัก ของกินของใช้ และที่สำคัญเลยก็คืออาหารทะเลสดๆนะครับ แต่เป็นอาหารทะเลที่ไม่ได้มาจากเกาะสมุยทั้งหมด บางอย่างก็นำมาจากสุราษฎร์ธานี ความสดของอาหารทะเลก็ถือว่าใช้ได้เลยทีเดียว ถ้าซื้ออาหารทะเลที่นี่มีบริการลวกให้ด้วยและมีน้ำจิ้มแถมมาด้วยฟรีๆ วันนั้นผมสั่งหอยแครงตัวใหญ่ราคาขายหน้าร้านกิโลกรัมละ 230 บาท ซึ่งผมคิดว่าราคาก็ไม่น่าจะต่างจากที่อื่นสักเท่าไร แต่มันเป็นหอยแครงที่ใหญ่มาก ผมเลยซื้อมาครึ่งกิโลกรัมพอเนื่องจากกินคนเดียว ทางร้านก็บริการลวกให้เสร็จสรรพแถมน้ำจิ้มมาด้วย ก็ถือว่าโอเค การลวกก็สามารถสั่งคนขายได้ว่า จะเอาลวกให้สุกแบบไหน ใครมาแถวนี้ ก็สามารถมาซื้อชิมได้นะครับ หน้าตลาดมีที่จอดรถมอเตอร์ไซค์ จอดสะดวกสบาย แต่ถ้าเป็นรถยนต์ก็อาจจะจอดยากนิดนึง ส่วนด้านหลังตลาดถ้าเดินทะลุเข้าไป ก็จะได้เห็นวิวพระอาทิตย์ตกดินด้วยนะครับ ถือว่าสวยงามอยู่ วันหน้าถ้ามีโอกาส จะมาแวะตลาดนี้อีกครั้งแน่นอนครับ

This is a small fresh market but there are seafood vegetables fruits and general thai groceries available at very fair prices

The selection of seafood is amazing. Just don't take it to cook at the local kitchen under same roof. Cook will try to charge you 500-700 baht just to fry the seafood you already bought. Scam

Bangrak market, located on the beach between Big Buddha Beach and Bangrak Beach, is home to the many local fishermen. The longtail boats are coming and going and the fresh fish and seafood is on sale in a large covered, but, open aired building along with vegetables, pork and poultry.
Well worth visiting if you want to see something off the normal tourist track.

Huge selection of seafood. Decent produce. The surrounding area is quite dirty. You'll find many locals shopping here. Good prices.

It is a good place to get fresh food and has a lot of variety as well but It has a lot of trash around it and some stall are very dirty but there are cleans stalls as well you just have to pick and choose. My wife is Thai she always ask me to stop here when we pass by it. The road ways is dangerous and not very good parking but that is most of Koh Samui.
