Seems like this golf course is run by EGAT (Electricity authority of Thailand), for a government run place though it is an absolute gem. Looks like many locals play here.

The course is not easy with lots of water bodies to cross, if you can't shoot more than 200 yards some shots are impossible.

But the course is beautiful and full of nature (monkeys, egrets, birds) and even if you can't play well (like me), it is still worth a day out.

The staff and caddies can't really speak English but that is ok.

Ratchaprapha Dam Golf Course is a very beautiful golf course in the Rajjaprabha Dam scenic area in Suratthani Province, which is adjacent to the Cliff Climb Province. I feel it also has the most beautiful environment among golf courses in Thailand. Google Wind Rating 4.5. The greens and fairways are very well managed and the greens are fast. The difficulty is relatively high, and there are several holes that are challenging. The professional quality of the caddies is pretty good. Unfortunately, the club facilities are general and have a bit of a public property managed by the government. The ecological environment of the surrounding reservoirs and dams is unparalleled and the temperature is suitable, making it a very good golf resort. Currently, the golf course package is only 1,200 THB. Accommodation in the scenic area hotel is 1,000 Thai Zhu, including a 100 Thai Zhu breakfast voucher. The golf course hotel is owned and managed by the Dam Authority. The hotel is not very nice and looks a bit like a government guest house. There are 3 restaurants in the scenic area where you can choose to order food, one of which is on the golf course. I was the only one playing ball in the morning. The temperature was very comfortable and I could play as I wished without anyone else interfering. Score card: 7Pars out43 in42 total 85 shots. This golf course is planned to be a place for vacation in the future. If you can find a comfortable hotel or B&B nearby, it will be even more perfect. It is highly recommended.

I've played here several times and enjoy it more each time. This is not an easy course. It has very varied holes up and down, short and long, wide and narrow. Plus it is in a beautiful location and the prices are reasonable

An excellent and beautiful course. The caddies are helpful and have a sense of humour. Some tough holes but not too much water.

จะกี่ครั้งๆ ที่มาที่นี่ ผมก็จะประทับใจทุกครั้ง สนามสวย วิวทิวทัศน์สุดยอด อากาศดี ที่พักราคาถูก อาหารอร่อย แล้วจะมีอะไรมากไปกว่านี้อีกละครับ สุดยอดครับ

They charge more for foreigners, even if you are a resident in Thailand, have workpermit and pay taxes etc.

Shame.

Good golf course fast green and long drive can be considered at this period of the year dry fairways will come back

Gem of a course to play in a stunning location, 1900bht for 18 holes, buggy & caddy which is a bargain compared to a lot of courses in Thailand. The green very tricky with a lot of breaks make it a challenge for golfers of all abilities, my caddy Tim was excellent she was a calming influence and good knowledge of the greens, will definitely be back to play here again

A challenging golf course with some difficult greens. The green fees are cheap and it's the better courses in Surat Thani. The caddies are fair, some are great but some are just lazy to look for the ball. The fact that the course is surrounded by a lot of trees and slopes they should be more active. But they do know a lot about the course and you really need to believe them when putting. The greens doesn't seem like it is, but it's a great course to challenge yourself. The course is also near the dam which is a tourist destination in Surat Thani. So if your visiting you can also relax in one of the floating raft hotels in the dam.

Turned up on my own hoping to be able to join another group but the staff at reception weren't hospitable. Shame, looks like a fun little course.

Nice course, difficult, fast greens, lots of break and slope. Lost many balls, still want to play again:) Clubhouse is not very nice, but ok to have shower and change clothes. Excellent value for money. Caddys do not speak english. Can play without buggy, but lots of climbing. As for 2017 february its possible to play 9 holes on mondays and discounted gf 500bht on tuesdays and fridays. Have shaded range, and its ok, if you want to practice downhilltilted position ;)

A serene place to relax, pure nature, just water, forest and the sky. This place is so beautiful. You can find limestone rocks emerging from the water. The only thing I wish that it improves is the price of the food and there should be more restaurant in this area.
