7 There's really nothing wrong with the boat ride. Despite the rough sea, the crew tried very hard.
However, we booked transport to the airport for 150 BAHT.
The car was driven very badly, overtaking was very dangerous, and you felt uncomfortable.
Basically I don't want to complain about the Thai driver's driving style, but when the driver got out it became clear why.
Our driver was obviously on drugs, inappropriate for a tourist transport company.
So easy to get from place to place with these guys! I prefer booking online so I can pay in advance using card but you can also just turn up and book on the spot if they’re not too busy! They take cash or card in the office:)
Thanks Lomprayah staff for making life so easy for us tourists!
I have used the Bangkok-koh phangan service (6am non-VIP bus + ferry) and it was perfect. We got off the bus and the ferry was already waiting for us to leave!
Then I took from Koh Phangan to Koh Samui. The girl at the Koh Phangan counter who sold me the ticket, was lively, she helped me a lot. The shuttle was waiting for us in Koh Samui in an organized manner, each van had a number and a person from the staff quickly distributed us to the van that we were assigned to.
Seriously, Lomprayah is the best transport company in all of Thailand! I am very grateful for the service and the staff!
Awful service, they cramp way too many people inside their boats which lead to, obviously, no seats for everyone.
Also they're absolutely insane - sailing full speed in a stormy sea, making the boat way too jumpy and unstable and half our boat puked the entire ride. Wish there were better ways of travelling between the islands.
Above all, do not take them 2h30 late, no refund, nothing, he does not even inform people and leaves us waiting!
In addition total scam he tells you about a taxi for when you arrive to go to the hotel and infact it's a mini bus, the worst being that you would pay less for a taxi on grab than the price they charge you pay! TO FLEE
Disastrous organization. 1.5 hour drive arrived 2 hours late. Unfortunately, there are not many other ways to get to the surrounding islands.
