Bamboo Bungalows - Koh Phayam

This is the most incredible place we’ve ever stayed at. The People working there are treating you as family.
We have seen the most beautiful sunsets on the island and The traditional Thai food was amazing.
He said that we had the best Guus on the island.
But the most outstanding thing was that when we had some medical problems, we got support, we would never had expected. The whole team was selflessly helping us, and we will never forget that.

The Long Beach is great, the bungalows run down and dirty, zero room service. And the gardens including the “parking lot” are in disrepair

A perfect place if you just want to relaxe, listen to the waves and enjoy the pureness of the island. I had a great time at Bamboo Bungalows, traveling alone, with no problems at all.
The atmosphere is wonderful, I loved the food in the beach-restaurant, fresh and spicy, with better quality than several other places along Long Beach. Coco, Gem and the girls were always so friendly, funny and helpful and give you the feeling you belong a bit to the Bamboo family. I will definitely be back in 2024.

We love to come here for a few days. Good food, reasonable priced rooms, a bit old but cleaned. Very kind service, they provide anything you need. They arranged out transportation to the airport.
The masseuse is highly gifted and very cheap for the amazing service she gives.
Our kids took surfing classes and enjoyed every minute while we relax. Highly recommended!

This was our 6 th stay in last 12 years. Each time we feel is better. Like visiting family. Very friendly, smiling staff, everything is possible, home cooked good. Giant Long Beach, fantastic sun set every evening.
Cannot be more cozy.
Already plan stay next year.

Very nice air conditioned room. Service was also excellent. It is in the middle of Aow Yai beach.
The one negative was the open shower. I had to shower before dusk because the mosquitos and other creatures have full access to the shower which has no roof.

Different types/values and correctly priced bungalows, from 1st row concrete ones with AC to bamboo ones with fan in the next rows (the resort is quite big). There's electricity at all times, the bamboo bungalow we had was clean, well built and maintained, the bathroom was basic but way better than prior experiences we had in the past, including on Koh Phayam. The staff is very responsive, efficient and friendly. The massage available on the beach it's of great value so I totally recommend getting one. The view is fantastic at sunset and the location is great for going to the village (for your meals, for instance). The minuses of the Bamboo Bungalows are the unmaintained garden (which is a breeding station for mosquitoes, sand flies, etc), despite being a very nicely designed garden (long years ago) and the overpriced terrace & restaurant as there are plenty of other options around.

Really nice place to have lunch and diner. Service was great, atmosphere really chill.

The hôtel was very expensive (compare to the others with better benefit, on the same Island), the bedroom was dirty, without air conditioner and with only cold water, the restaurant was also very expensive (double Price of the others 200m around), we gave Landry and they gave us back clothes not clean, not dry and not ironed. That's the only area without internet on the Island, and they don't have wifi.

When you do fireworks for New Year you should clean the beach thereafter instead of destroying nature.

I was just there for food and drinks and it was all delicious! Despite this, the staff is just amazing, remembered my name and that I am vegetarian. Unique! Highly recommended.

Bamboo Bungalows made our stay here in Kho Phayam worth it, the room is so nice and comfy, the food is great and served fast by very friendly and approachable staffs. Everything is excellent. I highly recommend.

The best place to stay here in Ko Phayam. Relaxing and affordable cuisine with those friendly staffs. Definitely as one of the most recommend place Ive been durung my stay in Thailand.

I checked in yesterday, was pleased with my total experience.
From my 1st phone call to enquire about prices, to the smiling young lady at check in, the afternoon coffee & dinner with a outlet of beers in the evening.
The owner is from the Mediterranean so they have a variety of Mediterranean food in the menu, the prices are the same as similar restaurants in Thailand, even the drinks & coffee are reasonably priced.
There are different types of rooms available, similar rooms at other Resorts on the Island were definitely more pricy.
The open Veranda style bar & restaurant attract both local & visitors for the evening meals.
