We can only recommend this; because we enjoy coming back to this paradise ourselves!

Very beautiful landscape - the rooms are beautiful. However, the hotel is far too big - almost made for mass tourism. You can hardly move around the hotel on foot - you're always being driven by car because the hotel complex is so big. Over time this becomes extremely annoying and very restrictive. The service leaves a lot to be desired - most of the employees, especially at the reception, were very unfriendly - especially Karen at the reception. She asked us at the check out if we had taken the flipflops of the room when we had no idea where they were.that was very cheeky! There was no minibar at the room and there are no window blinds so that you can not sleep so long because the room doesnt get dark. Also most of the employees dont speak english.

We stayed in one of the Oceano villas and it was incredible. Hopefully we can return in the future.
Furthermore, the treatment of the staff every time you need something or meet one of them is excellent, always with a smile, words of gratitude and willing to help.

Exceptional hotel on Koh Yao Yai. Only accessible by boat, it is located roughly between Phuket and Krabi. Perfect service and very good food.

Beautiful hotel, we definitely want to come back.
The hotel is located on a small island, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists.
- the rooms are nice, probably the nicest room we have booked in Thailand. We were accommodated in the 4000 room. Next time we would like to book a pool villa, they looked very nice.
- Service very friendly and fond of children
- Breakfast is delicious and has enough choice. The view is beautiful and a free massage is offered
- Facility is beautiful
- Cars drive you to the different rooms, it works great. This means that the hotel complex is very large and you have a lot of privacy
- Spa is very nice but expensive (European prices)
We rated the hotel 5 stars because we want to come back. Nevertheless, there are some points of criticism:
- Beach is rocky, there are definitely nicer ones in Thailand
- Service sometimes speaks very poor English, but is totally friendly
- the food is tasty, but relatively expensive and very small portions. Very little choice of European food.
- Room service comes in plastic trays or cardboard trays, something we know differently from 5 star hotels. But it probably won't be possible otherwise due to the long journey.

Careful if you travel by yourself. I felt discriminated from day one. While checking in l the aircondition in my sea view room was allegedly broken. In the end i was convinced to take another room, it was eventually a downgrade to a bay view room. They kept telling me it was the same sea view room type, but c’mon. Given the view it was far worse than the room i was supposed to get. But what could i say….
On the very next day: While having a few sundowners i was asked to leave the table, they wanted to make a reservation for other people. They didn’t even bother to asked me if i wanna have dinner or more drinks. BTW all tables around me have been empty! So this resort is not for solo travelers at all!
Furthermore there’s almost no shadow at the main pool, neither at the small infinity pool, which was very crowded.
There’s just the resort and a small village. Can’t easily explore the island. TIP: try the restaurants

Pro‘s: Gorgeous location, amazing breakfast, nice spacious rooms, 90 % of the stuff is amazing. I booked the ferry to the resort at 4 p.m, my driver managed to be almost in time for the 1 p.m. Ferry. Despite i was late and booked the ferry at 4 p.m. They managed to check me in and get me in tge early ferry at 1 p.m. I just wished i could recommend this place.
P. S.: Despite my experience spoiled my stay i eventually added a star. Because of the beautiful location, gorgeous breakfast and the most beautiful sunsets i‘ve ever seen.

First off I have to mention the staff because they really do make the experience special. I have never experienced such friendly, helpful and courteous staff anywhere in the world in fact (and I've travelled quite a bit). They are incredible, the taxi drivers, waiters, cleaners - always smile and offer help.

The location is incredible but it's a very quite island so bear this in mind. It is not somewhere to book if you are seeking a nightlife. For example one of the nights we decided to stay out and drink some cocktails but this was short lived as we were told our last drinks were 10pm.

The only downside really for us was the food and prices. It's pretty much the same food offered in the 3 restaurants, the portions are extremely small and the prices are very inflated. If you walk 5mins down the beach you can get the same dish for a third of the price which is twice the serving size. But this is an exclusive 5 star resort so these things are to be expected.

Overall I would absolutely recommend this resort, the staff and the accommodation are absolutely worth a visit, not to mention the peacefulness and views.

When we left via speedboat to Phuket, the staff stood on the pier waving us off for 5 mins. It was quite emotional because we felt the genunity from them, they are such lovely people

We have been in many hotels in Thailand.this is a want and I can't.you have to leave a deposit and everything and pay for the superior room in advance, 2 hours doing the check-in.too bad, they take you the credit card and they do not provide you with a copy of the deposit.

You can't park the motorbike nearby.they don't take care of the taxi.they don't reply to the emails.

Yes.the hotel is nice but it is not comfortable to visit the rest of the island

I LOVED this hotel! It was the highlight of a month trip with my mum (70yo) to Thailand.
We were delighted by the breathtaking views, sunsets, forest, daily entertainment shows with traditional Thai performances and generous breakfast buffet.
Their team went above and beyond to accomodate my mother needs including changing our room for one with no stairs and transport her in a golf cart so she didn’t have to walk to our room. I’ll visit this beautiful hotel again.

Overall very disappointing and unprofessional management. The rooms were not properly cleaned (see pictures) with stained toilets, toilet paper and leaking shower. Despite being a five-star, there was no safe, nor trash bin in the rooms.

The food during the New Year Eve dinner was served cold, the Prosecco was not cooled and served warm. They’ve even served pasta carbonara with sweet cream, tasting like a desert…

In order to reach the rooms you must use the golf cart service, which requires waiting 10-15 minutes. One should ensure nothing is forgotten in the room, else the journey back takes forever.

We brought our concerns to the resort manager, Chai, as well as to the Customer Engagement Manager, PJ, however they didn’t seems to care much. Would not recommend to stay in this property.

I loved the facility, the food, the staff and yhe service. I would rate all that as 5 star. There was only 2 reasons why you did not get 5 star from me. 1 there was a small pile of someones hair left behind in the shower. 2 My fiancee and I wanted to take the boat to Phuket to do some shopping for Christmas. I was told that I would have to settle my bill with the hotel before leaving the Island. I found this very insulting. I am leaving all of my clothing, jewelry, luggage and camera gear in the room which was worth 20 to 30 times more than the $300.00 I owed on my bill. Asking me to pay that is low class. As it turned out due to scheduling we took a different H. S.ferry via taxi and did not settly my bill before leaving the island. Think hard before insulting your guests.

Where do I start…
We came here by the paid speedboat service from Phuket Airport.
After arrival they sent us to a room near reception and the staff talked to each family/couple to explain everything. They forgot to talk to us, after I made myself noticeable a lady came and just asked me „how can i help you? “ No „hello“ - no „welcome“!
I told her that we know nothing, that nobody talked to us yet and then she showed us everything. She also showed me a map of the hotel area, but I wasn‘t allowed to keep it - she told me to took a photo with my smartphone? ! Is that normal service in a 5* hotel? !

Our room wasn‘t ready yet, so the lady told us we can use the pool or go to beach in the meantime… well, when we departed from Phuket Pier with speedboat, they left our luggage there to follow with another speedboat about 1-2 hours later - so how can I go swimming without swimwear? ! Would have been nice if somebody told us earlier.

A day later we went to the Spa building to look for their offers, willing to spend a good time there. When we came in, the greeting was „What is your room number? Did you book? “ —> once again, no „hello“ and no „welcome“. We‘ve been in Thailand to a lot of spots and areas, some more touristic, some less - in our experience everywhere in Thailand mostly all people are greeting in a friendly way, but not in this „so-called“ five star hotel!

Next day I ordered some food at the restaurant located by the infinity pool. Had some hair in my meal and sent it back - the chef inspected my plate as I faked or put my own hair in it? !? ! No excuse from chef or waitress.

Also the hotel is tidy and not clean in general! Public area and even the booked room! Tables at restaurants not cleaned and wiped, staff is only sweeping the crumbs.
The glass panel in our bathroom to look out to the sleeping area. It is and was not clean, we had 4 nights in this room and it was not cleaned in all this time.

The view and the location itself is wonderful! And I think this is the only reason how this hotel can catch guests.

Checkout process as well a big disaster.
2 girls sitting there chatting with their phone and colleagues, just 2 girls working. At some time few staff came out from a backdoor room to check the situation and left again. We had a transfer with pickup at the hotels car parking lot. They told us, our luggage would be there already - it was NOT - surprise surprise! So we had to wait for about 20 minutes more and the driver as well!

Altogether, this is definitely NOT a five star hotel! Good service is not available. Staff is worse than unfriendly. Cleanliness is not up to scratch. Food is okay.
The hotel advertises and praises as a 5* resort, and please don’t forget that you pay 5* prices, but they don‘t match this criteria - I don‘t know if they do not want or can not…
We‘ve been to quite a lot of five star hotels in South East Asia, also in Thailand and this hotel was the worst. Had even better 3* stays…
SO WE CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYBODY.

I visited here during the 2021_ 2022 newyear countdown (4 days)
This is a great beautiful place to spend quality time with ur family friends.
There are amazing villas and rooms to stay.
The hotel / resort is so clean and well maintained.
Amazing view from all rooms and villas.

There is a boat for transportation and also cars to send u to ur room and pick u up 99% of the time.
From rooms sometimes, you need to walk around 2 to 3 minutes to get to assembly points.
Food is great.
Amazing resurants (there are 2)
Great swimming pools (there are 2)
Wi-Fi is available. (not that fast but usable)
They clean everything all the time.

The staff are very friendly and polite.
They do their best to make sure you have a great time. This resort has a very high standard.

But, there are ways to improve.

First, this is a huge resort, and they need more staff (even all staff working so hard and over time but because of the standard and their system they need more staff to handle everything.
**Note** because of covid 19, they reduced the number of staff***

Second, they need to explain their transportation system and timing for new guests clearly because its not easy to walk all the time (management job)

And last the part that you need to park your car and take all ur staff by yourself and go to boat need a totally new system as it was very hard for me to carry everything to reach to small waiting room for boat.
We had no help at all from port and staff there as they don't care for guests for Santhiya resort.

จองเรือขากลับไว้ 12.00 แต่กว่าจะได้ออก 12.30 เพราะต้องรอเรือขาเข้าที่มาส่งแขก จริงๆแล้วทาง รร. น่าจะมีข้อมูลว่ามีแขกเช็คเอ้าท์กี่คนในวันนั้นก็ควรจัดเตรียมเรือให้พอกับจำนวนแขก คือ2ลำไม่ควรให้แขกไปยืนรอที่ท่าเรือนานขนาดนั้นและต้องนั่งลุ้นไปอีกว่าจะตกเครื่องอีกหรือไม่

Wonderful place also I had a great time here. Welcome drink and smile also warm feeling. The room was great. The Breakfast was amazing. Also dinner infront the beach with buy 1get 1free on happy time and show time (Thai dance). And Live music was great️Love this place

Stunning resort
Needs a touch up in some of the rooms

The first room we got put into on the lower floor of hotel 4, was dark and not very nice.
They moved us upstairs and the room was so different- it was beautiful!
Definitely ask for the upstairs floor if you book a room.

Internet was good (not excellent) in the rooms.

The view and jungle around is gorgeous!
Most of the staff are absolutely excellent
The boat and check in process is very smooth

The biggest down about this place is the food.
We nearly left due to the food.
There’s basically nothing to eat as a vegan and very limited as a vegetarian.
The quality of the produce is low.
The food taste is very average.

But the hotel is stunning, you can easily stay here the whole time with our leaving and the staff are fab!

I wouldn’t say this is a 5 star hotel like Anantara.
But if they improved their food quality and tidied up some of lower rooms it easily would be.
