The resort itself certainly isn’t as beautifully maintained as in the pictures but location and its breathtaking views are totally worth travelling for. We had some issues with jacuzzi and lighting in the room. It felt like property has not been maintained very well overall. Although a bit pricey, the food was absolutely delicious!

The Resort is a very good place if you want to relax and disconnect from the world. The service is kind, but you need to know that the majority of the staff don't speak English. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. My room had a balcony with an open shower which made all the difference for me. I got a yoga class and a boat trip included in my rates and it was nicely organized. The low aspect is the location. If you come and go from/to Phuket you can use their boat and the price is reasonable. If you are coming from other places, it gets more complicated as the resort is very isolated and the roads are flooded and broken. You need to get a taxi from the main Port and pay the price they ask for as you have no other options and the resort doesn't have a transfer. It's a resort to stay inside and enjoy the facility, as your displacement on the island will be difficult.

Location is Great, the rooms are run down and dirty.
Service is avarage to poor.
We went on the half day snorkeling tour today, once again the location was good but the service was avarge more to the poor side.
Cost.expensive, this would be OK if the rooms/food & service was better.

It's rightly named!
The extraordinary: the lonely location (but that's exactly what you have to want!), the external appearance, the service, which is very good even by Thai standards, the outdoor shower in the room, the garden, the constantly maintained beach. Everything went perfectly here (transfer, small requests…)

Our room was nice, also with a great view of the garden, only one visible terrace, and the aforementioned outdoor shower. Maybe a small renovation backlog, but it's not that significant.
Due to the island's remote location, activities outside of the hotel are not a priority. This is the right place if you just want to be in a beautiful place. We went on a lovingly guided snorkeling tour.

The food was quite good, including breakfast.

It can be useful to point out that you spend a lot of money in the hotel: drinks in particular are quite expensive (a beer or a meal) but the activities on offer are also not cheap (massages, trips). Anyone who can ignore this and get involved in this place will recover quickly and retain impressions for a long time

Certainly a dream for those looking for peace and quiet, but after a few days it was enough for us. The sea looks very beautiful at high tide and you can swim to some extent even though the beach is very shallow. However, there is nothing to see underwater and at low tide the beach looks desolate. You are also trapped in paradise and can only get to “civilization” by longboat or via the 5-7 km jungle track. Unfortunately, the hotel shamelessly exploits this, prices are 2-3 times as high as in the rest of Thailand, like in Germany, or higher. Jungle hike is beautiful and adventurous (animals, noises, etc.). We were there towards the end of the rainy season (mid-October) and were unlucky that it rained on 1.5 out of 3 days. You should also consider this outside of the rainy season, as nothing is possible other than sitting in the room.

Fantastic - we are thrilled!

Since 2008 we have been guests at Paradise Koh Yao for the 5th time. Since then, the resort has retained its great natural charm on one of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand.

In 2008 we got married on this unique beach and now we spent our 15th wedding anniversary. And what can I say – the welcome from the staff and the manager was incredibly warm, as if we had never been away.

Many thanks to Sue and her team who surprised us with a gift. And we got our favorite room with a view over this beautiful bay on Koh Yao Noi.

Thank you all!

We stayed in this complex for two nights. The stand and the rooms themselves were great. The breakfast selection was large and very tasty. Everything is great so far.

Disadvantage: the hotel is very remote and you only have the opportunity to leave the hotel twice a day. Once in the morning at 8: 30 a.m. For 3 hours and once at 1: 30 p.m. For 3 hours. So that you are forced to eat dinner in the hotel. No mini market nearby, just nothing. The prices are already comparable to European prices.
Unfortunately we missed the time to use the shuttle, we were then told that we could get a private driver for 1700 Bath. There definitely needs to be a change here. As an adult you don't want to be locked in and you might want to explore the rest of the island.

The resort really lives up to it’s name. The views, the private plunge pool, the beautifully designed rooms and outdoor spaces, as well as the wildness around, make the resort worthy of being called Paradise. The only downsides are the insects and lizards, that you have to get used to while walking outside at night and the average western food.

The location is incredible. Beautiful views and a really special place.
The staff are also wonderful; kind, helpful, great sense of humour. They go out of their way to make you happy.
The island hopping tour was incredible and def worth doing when there.

Sadly there were a couple of significant things that we felt were not communicated upfront which put a damper on our stay;
-The pool and one restaurant were under construction so we could not use the pool and there was one restaurant to eat at.
-The food and drinks are very expensive and there are no other options, so budget for the meals and drinks!
-The road to and from the resort is not scooter friendly so you are reliant on the taxis or resort shuttle which is also expensive. You are therefor not very independent once at the resort.
-Lots of rain meant there were limits to what to do, I feel they could do a lot more with their 'entertainment area' rather than just one old tennis table. Be nice if they had games etc so guests can have some other forms of entertainment.
-The spa is also overpriced and expensive

This resort is good for people who are happy to stay there, relax completely and not be independent from the resort.
If you are not 'penny' conscious then eating and drinking at the resort is fine.

This was the second visit, overall the place was still peaceful and pleasant, the transportation arranged by the hotel from the airport to the island was perfect. However, unfortunately, they changed the chef, and the food this time was terrible; it was painful to stay isolated and only served tasteless food and coffee.

They should improve the food quality or make the shuttle service cheaper and more accessible for the guests to go out to find various dining experiences.

Wow!
Visited June 2022.
The hotel had thought of everything. Some places call themselves paradise and really don't quite live up to the expectation. These guys did, and then some!

Room was exactly what the photos showed, the food was out of this world. The staff were phenomenal and we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing vacation. If you want a holiday that doesn't have too many people around and some privacy, this is the place to go.
My only advice would be the transfers if booking through an agent for flights, the last boat to the island was 16: 30 and the last boat to Phuket is 3pm, so for us, a midnight flight probably wasn't the best option, as we were sat in the airport from 4: 30 we would definitely return but would book our flights more sensibly.

The rooms here were pretty dated and during my stay there were ants all over. Keep the doors closed too as insects will fly in. Not a lot of privacy as there were times when staff walked over outside of our room and we could be undressed.

Also while we booked the seaview room (room 361), our pool was only facing some plants and a building right in front (see photo). Very disappointed and deceptive from the hotel photos. The hotel claimed that they were fully booked and unable to change a proper room for us. While service recovery was offered, I rather have what we paid for in the first place.

Service here was lower than in Phuket, staff were not as attentive or friendly. It's not that they were unfriendly, it's just not as good as expected in Thailand.

The food offered in the resort was really their weakest link. Not only selection was limited, they were expensive and also not nice! Very very disappointed, considering guests couldn't leave the hotel easily, it's a great opportunity for them to earn a lot more should they offer a better dining option/experience.

The beach was a little underwhelming, quite small and low tide starts after lunch. Which means pretty much nothing to see or do after lunch. Only can view the sunrise.

Limited activities available in the resort unless you fork out a big chunk for tours. The compliment tour for snorkeling was 2 hours and of which half the time was for traveling. You will get to snorkel at a beach with limited fishes and dead corals. Locals have to pay 60 baht and foreigners 300 to enter, hence it's not truly complimentary.

In the resort, there is a buggy service for guest to call for picking them up from their rooms to their desired area as the location of the room is located somewhat in a mountain ground with uneven platform. The service was useless as no one from the reception pick up my call. As for the location, it's location deep into the island that has zero roads bur muddy ground so getting there will be an uncomfortable experience plus there are no nearby shop around it. The room at night was filled with bugs making it odd to sleep in.

Amazing, in a beautiful natural setting. Staff are extremely friendly. Food was really good. The only negative is the price they charge for the trip into town but there’s really no need to go anywhere.

Many places are called "Paradise", but only here we felt in one. It was our highlight in Thailand. We spend 2 nights. Could have been one more. Perfect for honeymoon. There are all couples and some families in relaxing mood. Many activities to do available. We did Koh Pak Bai for great Snorkeling scenery. We did not went felt like visiting the island, as the resort was so nice to stay. Is expensive but worthy. They are super well organized and the staff is very kind. The whole experience was great. Food is great, for Veg also. Live music every night.

We had a throughly fabulous two weeks at this stunning resort. The staff were so lovely, nothing was too much trouble, Nang, Chai, Fai, Jyb and Dom to name but a few. Marc, the manager, was lovely company and together with his extensive knowledge of Thailand we enjoyed chatting with him over a cocktail at The Sundowners bar in the evening. The resort is a nature reserve with Monitor Lizards and Oriental Pied Hornbills a regular sight. This place is truly a slice of paradise. Thank you all for making our holiday our best yet.
