Exotic Fishing Thailand

Great staff, great accommodation, great views and most of all great fishing! Definitely a 5 star venue and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to fish in thailand! What a place it is, out of this world

Today we did a full day of fishing for €180. We had a 2 fishing rods, plenty of bait and a guide included in this price. Our huts where located on the otherside of the beautifull lake.

We didnt had breakfast in the morning but the owner asured us his employees will come over every hour to ask if we need something. After 1hour and 40 minutes we had to ask our guide to call the reception so we could order some food. During the day we could only order/get drinks if we called the reception to send someone over or if we walked there ourselves. In the late afternoon (4pm) one of the huts got a cooler (without asking).

Our guide barely spoke english. It was also very difficult to communicate as most of the times he was just sitting behind our cabin (on his phone, sleeping,). My boyfriend and I dont have a lot of experience fishing so it would have been nice if the guide gave more information. He just took our fishing rods, put bait on them and throw them out without any explanation or help with what we could or have to do. After plenty of waiting games we started taking out our rods ourselves (at first he didnt like us to take out/throw out) and tried to put our own bait on them. When the boss came over his attitude changed and he actually worked the last 2 hours of his shift.

After all we catched one fish around 6.30pm.too bad we couldnt fish any longer.

For us it was not a splented experience and we wouldn't pay this much money anymore. At the end we were also chocked about the bill we had to pay. Very expensive fishing pond.

11 hours of amazing fishing, 9 fishes caught and 9 who were to fast for me and got loose. 3 species. Sorry to say no Arapaima, but Amazone redtail, Asian red tail and Albino (i dont remeber the name.). Biggest about 35 kg. Nice service, good food and cold beer, i say like Arnold: "I´ll be back" ;-)

Really a fantastic place for fishing, the lake is sorrounded by mountains. The guides are very helpful. The food from their restaurant are really mouth watering. They have villa also for accommodation, if you want you can stay their.

It was AWESOME! The fish are absolutely amazing a really well looked after! Mike is so great and sorts you out with anything you need! Just was one of my best days in Thailand!

I booked a day fishing for me and my father as a birthdays present for him. I saw the great reviews and photos and I thought this will be a really special day for me and him. I was saving money for a while as I knew it’s not going to be cheap. I spent 300 Euro plus transportation for me and him. All in all we spend 7 hours watching a thai guy feed the fish. We didn’t catch anything. There was not even one bite. Out of 8 shacks I thing only 1 guy caught 2 dissent size fish so it was not only us or due to luck. Close to the lake there was a stone mine and we could fill underground explosions which might have spooked the fish. It might have been overfed or caught too many times and wary. When you pay so much money for an experience you expect to catch at least something. I not sure if I am more angry about the lost day of our holiday. The bad feelings of not catching anything or the money spend for nothing. It’s not my business to suggest how this establishment should be run. I understand the bait cost money and the thai guy taking care of us cost money and maintainance cost money but if I were the manager and customers didn’t catch anything I would return half the money.

Pros: beautiful lake, beautiful facilities, well maintained, the thai guy tried his best all day changing different methods.

I fished with EFT for a day while in Thailand and had a great time. Mike was awesome about getting me set up and answering any questions before arriving. The guides were very helpful in making sure I was baited up and in the right spots. The food was excellent.

I managed to catch an albino pacu, a red tailed catfish, and a 120kg Mekong catfish. A memorable day for sure!
