Excellent fishing compared to other places in Phuket. A very beautiful place, surrounded by tall mountains. Atmospheric
During the whole day we managed to catch 2 arapaima weighing about 100 kg each
One was caught at 18: 45)
And not a big Car Fish (catfish).
We had a gazebo and sat in the shade all day under a fan.
The food was delicious, local. Prices are quite reasonable considering the distance from the island. It's an hour's drive from Phuket.
Recommended for fishing enthusiasts

I was able to spend twelve wonderful days fishing on the lake. The landscape around the lake is simply breathtaking. The room was very clean and well-equipped. Mike, James and the staff were always very friendly and always tried to fulfill my wishes. The food was very tasty and you have a wide selection of dishes (international and Thai cuisine). The fishing was also great and I was able to catch some nice fish. Some redtails, Asian redtails, ripsaw and chao phraya.
I also had a guide every day who worked a lot to get me to the fish.

The scenery and surroundings are absolutely breathtaking, it was a fun day and we caught some huge fish.even an Arapaima! Being first timers for fishing, we explained this to Mike and that we needed someone to guide us and explain things as we went along and he assured us that we had a professional who would show us the ropes. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, a very miserable guide, impolite, no English language whatsoever and he did not explain or guide us at all. He sat in his hub and we kept on having to ask him things. He didn't interact with us or attempt to make our very first time out on a lake a memorable one. I also think that Mike could have suggested 2 rods and we both use them rather than 4 as it was our first time. This set us back £350 with nothing else included which I also think is crazy considering every other excursion in Thailand offering at least refreshments and with a hefty price like that, I would have expected lunch or snacks with drinks included. I was also asked when I arrived if I wanted a cup of tea or coffee which I greatly appreciated as we had travelled over an hour to get there and thought it was a kind gesture to then have it added on to our bill at the end. Really not great customer service in my opinion. If you're offering a drink when customers arrive, it should be a welcome gesture. The food here is nice but overpriced. The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because of the scenery and us catching fish, if we hadn't caught anything, this would have been a 2 star I'm afraid!

We had a days fishing and the location is amazing the mountains surrounding the lake are breath taking you can spend hours just looking at all the wildlife unfortunately we only had a day there so we spent all of it sitting in the swim, the service was exceptional the food was reasonable price and very nice and our fishing guide was top notch he was constantly chopping and changing to catch us fish.
We had an awesome day with 3 huge and beautiful fish would highly recommend and hopefully I will be going back for longer, it definitely has been the highlight of our trip to Thailand so far so thankyou

I always start my holiday in Thailand at EFT! And it never disappoint me. The owner Mike is such a nice guy and the thai fishing guides are really fun to fish with and they know what they are doing. The lovely staff in the kitchen makes very good food! Just an amazing fishing/Holiday experience. I would only recommend this place to people and i have been fishing some of the other big fishing parks in Thailand. 6 out of 5 stars if you ask me!

This was a experience never to be forget, from booking this trip a year ago, picked up from the airport in what I can only say the best mini bus ever, our reception from Mike and his team when we arrived was lovely, then a night sleep in lovely rooms followed by an extreme fishing experience, hard fighting fish with help from the guides, a special thanks to Ched my guide, what an gem of a man,
And thank you Mike for what has been a memorable 5 days, thank you for making our wives welcome and sending them off for the day to visit the local sites, your pool was perfect for them to chill out and relax, food good and service, well where do I start, fishing in your swim with breakfast and lunch brought to your swim, it was like paradise.

We decided to spend three days here at short notice and to be honest Mike was really good responding to my endless questions. I have fished many places in Thailand over the years but must admit this is one of if not the best complete package. To start with the location it is absolutely stunning and worth the trip just for the views, it is remote from the local town but the team will arrange transport if you want to go out and about. The accommodation is first class large rooms well equipped comfortable and a home from home. Now to the fishing if you want a runs water this is not it (which is good as you don’t want fish of this size over and over again as you will need another holiday it’s hard work trust me) however I don’t think in the three days there was anyone that failed to catch and it was not the best conditions for fishing. The fishing guides will do as much or as little as you want/need and they will target fish if you have a specific type you want. Mike will come and see you and has a vast knowledge of the lake and fish and clearly cares about his stock and the experience of his guests. The restaurant and bar is perfect for all tastes with a good stock of food and drink. Overall top location top staff and the fish of a lifetime get booking you will not be disappointed.

Scenery was spectacular, room food and service was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful, my guide boy was excellent and the fishing was spectacular, caught 72 fish 7 different species and 4077lb in weight can't praise Mike Bailey and my guide boy for a magical 8 days fishing I can truly recommend Exotic Fishing Thailand you won't be disappointed I can tell you thanks again eft and staff

An incredible place to go fishing in Thailand. Scenery is amazing, the lake is well kept and the staff are nothing short of incredible, they cannot do enough for you. And the food is great too.
However, it's the fishing that counts. Between me and a friend, 3 rods each, fishing for only one day we had over 70bites landing over 50 of them including 7 Arapaima and 5 alligator gar and some other cool stuff invetween. Cannot recomend enough

Very beautiful scenery, and there are also great fish! There are a total of 8 fish a day. The number is not large, but they are basically concentrated in the afternoon. I caught four Arapaimas! The boss Mike, he is a hard-working person, and it is not easy to keep protecting these fish during the epidemic! Our Fishguid is very good. He is Neil from Europe, the best instructor. He knows everything here. It‘s great. I hope you can also make an appointment with him!

EFT is absolutely brilliant, had a wicked day yesterday fishing the lake, had many different species of fish and huge arapaima! The place visually is absolutely beautiful set in between 2 mountains surrounded by palm trees and other trees. The helper work so hard to ensure your rods are back out fishing as soon as possible and get you on the correct spots to make sure to up your catch success, food was amazing, full English breakfast brought to your peg and nothing was to much trouble, EFT I would highly recommend to anyone it’s a great day, beautiful place and lots of action, I’ll definitely be back for many years to come and stay in 1 of the bungalows to up my chances of hooking into 1 of the huge Mekong catfish that’s knocking about in the lake.
More than 20 fish was landed yesterday!

Take your family here and you won't regret. While some will enjoy lake fishing others will have nice time relaxing by the pool right with a view.

Great place to fishing! We catch 8 Arapamia, 1 Siamese carp and a lot other fish, beautiful rooms and fantastic view over the lake and the mountain, the restaurant serves thaifood and international food, many big aquariums if you want to know what fish swimming in the lake, you can also feed the fish that they breed for the lake, a great place for your dream catch. Thank you very much Mike and staff for a fantastic weekend

They didn't let us bring our own fishing rod equipment and their equipment were much worse than ours. Also it is very overpriced!

Had a brilliant day caught fish of a lifetime. The owner Mike has done an extraordinary job building this venue. When I get back here I will definitely be booking for at least a week. The staff from the restaurant to the guides were excellent. The guides are not happy till you catch then they take great pleasure from the way your face lights up. The surrounding area is magnificent and the fishing cabins are brilliant giving plenty of shade from the sun all in all had one of the best days fishing in a brilliant location can't wait to go back. Thanks again for all your hard work Mike you certainly have a great venue.

The top spot in south Thailand to have an authentic catch and release fishing expiernece. EFT is well managed, nice comfortable rooms, and the restaurant is the best in the area. You won't be disappointed if you book your next monster fishing expiernece at EFT.
