The Houben Hotel, Adults Only

Amazing and tranquil experience in the boutique style hotel, with large rooms and best sunset view. You are welcomed by very friendly staff the moment you step into the hotel and this continuous throughout your stay. Very peaceful and high quality relaxation, the best place we stayed in Thailand and we did not want to leave so much that we extended our stay in the hotel by two days! The hotel is only 10 mins away from the very peaceful Bamboo bay beach. Thank you Eric, Tak, View and an amazing team for making it such a great experience

We were very excited to stay at The Houben, especially given the star rating and the price we were paying compared with the rest of our 2 week trip in Thailand. The property was extremely disappointing that had the feeling of a rundown property.

There's a laundry list of problems which were immediately noticeable at checkin: walking into the room, you notice cabinet doors are crooked and everything feels broken. We decided to use the red pool until we noticed that it had dyed our bathing suits with red marks in several areas that required scrubbing to get out. I resigned to using the bathtub seen in the photos, but was disappointed when I quickly learnt that 45 minutes later, I was unable to still unable to fill the tub with a slow tap and definitely with lukewarm water.

Lots of other small things: hairdryer didn't work, safe didn't operate, internet didn't work.

All in all, would not recommend staying here if you're looking to relax.

Well, this is a gem to be discovered. The friendliest staff ever - we stayed for 6 days and will definitely come back. Relaxed vibes that meet a million-dollar view (both from the room and the pool) and a awesome minimalist architecture and room indesign. Enjoy yoga in the morning at the cliff next to the pool…. A la carte breakfast with local thai delicacies … the fitness room didn’t meet our needs - but you can just grab a yoga mat and do your thing early in the morning… the restaurant was sometimes really good (vegetarian pad Thai) - or in case of the pizza not so much …. But that is not really relevant as the rest is superb

Exceptional service especially helping arrange fascinating trips, amazing location with lovely views. Comfortable bed in well appointed room with own balcony. Great morning yoga on cliff top. Definitely come again.

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The views were amazing, as well as the room. It's a very nice hotel to stay in if you're looking for somewhere private and relaxing. Would definitely recommend this hotel for couples and anyone who just wants to have a nice, secluded, getaway.

If you want somewhere a little further away from the bustle with a great sunset view this is the place. Just a short walk from the beach and few restaurants and beach bars. The hotel was very clean with friendly staff. We didn't eat in the hotel besides breakfast which was excellent. Very quite hotel, great for relaxing after a day sight seeing.

Kind and helpful reception and really nice hotel, But the restaurant is hopeless. Good breakfast. But other then that, Slow bad service and terrible food quality, And expensive.

Great hotel, luxurious feel in the rooms, and awesome food and drinks from the restaurant! They have a great two for one cocktail happy hour right at sunset time, so perfect for laying on the sun lounges with a drink in hand watching it set over the water.

We stayed for just two nights but I would have loved to stay longer. I’d book this place again if I returned to Koh Lanta.

Incredible views from the rooms and pool. Very friendly staff and great breakfast with lots of choice. Location is good a few minutes walk from town.

Only negative point is the official website has an offer that if you stay 3 nights or more then you get a free transfer, but they refused to honour that.

Loved our stay here! Very quiet and serene atmosphere, feels exclusive, and the views (especially from the suite) are absolutely stunning! The red pool is also really cool! Super friendly staff and owner.
It’s nice to be in the South of the island, away from the main tourist areas and the hustle and bustle. A great base to explore lots of beaches and nature around! ️

A few aspects are not perfect (slightly worn out, loose cupboard doors, found some dust, no hooks for towel around the shower) but we could definitely live with that. This place is imperfectly perfect and has its very own charme.
Only one thing I would really recommend to think about in terms of the design of the room (at least the suite) : there’s a heavy iron/steel lamp hanging quite low above the couch - looks cool but you can hit your head really bad if you don’t watch out (happened to me several times).

Absolutely love this place.the view here is to die for.very quiet and lovely on a cliff with one of the most gorgeous locations for sunsets in the world I would think.iconic blood red swimming pool and lovely rooms.if I ever did come back to ko Lanta, would definitely stay here.

Great hotel with the most amazing staff. We had the suite which had a beautiful view, big room and a lot of privacy. Breakfast was really good. Definitely would recommend going here!

After we traveled around Thailand for 5weeks, luckily we found this hotel, most comfortable, relaxing and peaceful. Spacious room, super helpful staffs and stunning sunset.
We extend stay 2 times, cannot say goodbye. Be sure to return again.

My girlfriend - now fiancee! - and I had an incredible stay at The Houben Hotel and we could not be happier with our experience. I had contacted the hotel prior to my arrival to tell them that this was a special occasion and Eric, Sunny and the team made every effort to make us feel special throughout our stay - we cannot thank them enough for their hard work.

The hotel itself is lovely, peaceful, clean and relaxing. Perfectly located walking distance from the beach and with reasonably priced scooters to hire if you want to get slightly further afield. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety, and the gym was nice to have. Thanks guys - we can't wait to come back!

Loved this place! Clean, peaceful, beautiful! The staff are very friendly and helpful and they go the extra mile. We came in at night after an evening of watching the sunset by the amazing infinity pool, and they had made up our bed, put down slippers on each side, had put pretty flowers on our pillows! Just all the little touches made this a definite 5 star in my book. They had really good room service (food was always hot) and the cocktails for happy hour are a must. So many good restaurants nearby and the beach is a short 5 minute walk. Definitely recommend!

Well well well. What a spot. To look at the sunset. And the rooms are amazingly clean and well spacious. The jaccuzi is just what u need to wind down at the end of the day.

They provide everything u can think off and not to mistake their signature red pool. One of a kind i would say.
