Thanya Resort

A very nice place to relax. We stayed in a bungalow on the beach side, with a beautiful sea view. A beautiful snorkeling reef in front of the resort. You can also go to the other side of the island, paradise beach, by canoe or walking through the jungle. Also very fun to do with another snorkeling reef. All the people at the resort are
extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast is extensive and for dinner the resort as well as other restaurants are fine. The hornbills are regularly seen, and during an evening walk along the beach you can also encounter them in various places.

The family stayed here for 3 nights. We stayed in a bungalow near the restaurant end, that came with two queen size beds. The bungalow was a little older (there are newly renovated bungalows set further back) but very pleasant and comfortable. The pool is also due for a revamp, which the owner is planning to do next year. This end of the beach is great, and when the tide is at mid point, you can easily walk/paddle to the nearby coral for snorkelling, to check out the colourful fish life. The resort restaurant serves a great breakfast selection, as well lunch and dinner options (mix of 'western' and local Thai food). The service and hospitality from everyone who works here was first class, from the wonderful reception, to the fantastic housekeepers who tidied our room and made delightful towel animals for the kids every day. Highly recommend!

We stayed here 1 night, and it was awesome. It is a very quiet, peaceful island retreat. We took the longtail from Koh Lanta old town, and they dropped us off right in front of the beach resort.
We were welcomed with a smile and a cold drink. Rooms are built from wood, with wooden floors. Very spacious. The pool is big. The restaurant is good with surprisingly cheap prices for a remote island stay. The island has an eastern side, so the sunrise was amazing at 6 the next morning!
And the crystal clear water was amazing, also you can snorkle by yourself and see all the sea life.

Very beautiful resort located right in paradise. Ko Ngai island is having white sand, crystal clean water and is 30 min speedboat ride from Ko Lanta. This is the perfect place to switch off from everything and relax. Nice swimming pool and restaurant/ bar located directly on the beach. They also have massage on the beach.

It's a nice sprawling resort with diverse flora and fauna. You can spot monitor lizards in a pond inside the property, hornbills, cicadas and they have lots of yellow cotton and frangipani trees with lovely flowers.
The rooms are reasonably sized, restaurant has quite decent food. The front desk people are very helpful. You can rent a kayak for 100baht/hr and their snorkel kits are free.
Special mention of the bartender who made us feel at home. Thank you for the amazing stay:)

I just walked along the beach and meet this place. Restaurant is located next to the beach. I stay at another beautiful resort Thapwarin and I want have some drink and snack at corner of t he beach. Best service from restaurant staff name Neni, she is very supportive waitress. Good attitude and asset for the company, please keep her forever staff. I am very impress with her services and flexibility to her customer.

I can’t even put into words how amazing our stay was at Thanya Beach Resort. The staff were amazing from the moment we arrived. The food was out of this world and they actually listened when we said we like our food spicy Make sure you try the pancakes at breakfast, they were so yummy!
The room was spotless and I especially loved the extra touches with their own lemongrass and mint shampoo/shower gel, conditioner and moisturiser. I have never smelt so good. Even the room would smell amazing when we would come back in that evening! We wish we had more time so that we could have stayed longer. We did extend our stay by one more night and they were brilliant at accommodating us. The place is absolute paradise. Thank you so much for the most perfect stay? ️

Its looks like that this resort is close like the most places on this island. It would be such a nice place but i stay alone on the island and everything is close.

Its not real make soo much fun but its good to chill and relax.

Food quality is way under par, best to go out. Breakfast is ok but milk needs to be place in a fridge.

Room is comfortable, efficient AC and good bathroom.

Rooms were decent and fewer staff than optimal but that is understandable due to Covid. Pool wasn't clear though. Food needs improving substantially.

Thanya Beach Resort and Ko Ngai made our trip to Thailand pure magic. The beach in front of the hotel is one of the best of the island. The sand is white and the water is crystal clear. There are great snorkeling spots only some meters away from the beach. Another highlight of the hotel is its restaurant.
All dishes served are superb and perfectly prepared. In my total of almost two months of travelling in Thailand this was the best food I tried. It made all sense as I heard that the hotel owner is also a chef of a Thai restaurant in London. Only the breakfast is kept pretty simple. There is also massage service run by experience masseurs. But for me there was nothing more relaxing than getting a cocktail at night, sit down in front of the beach and just listen to the sea.

The staff is very friendly and helpfull. They organize for you some trips around and also the connection to mainland (for example straight to the Trang airport)

Pros:
- Stunning location.
- Spectacular beach.
- Spacious huts with aircon.

Cons:
- Service is lackluster and staff seem reluctant to help or even serve at the restaurant.
- Slight ‘anti-farang’ sentiment, which is a shame.
- Breakfast limited and disappointing.
- Restaurant food not very fresh, ate elsewhere.

It’s a shame, this place could be amazing, it has so much going for it. It needs an injection of energy and improved customer service.

The rooms need an overhaul, the shower has no warm water, the tap doesn't work and the toilet leeks. It is a eal pity the this property at such a nice location is so badly neglected by its owners.in short words this resort not deserve at all if there is less than 1 star i will give this resort fully trust and who want to lose his money he go there also the staf unfriendly and the resort scrap they jeat the people and i can confirm that all the reviews more than one star is not truth at all

Very nice place with focus on details. There is a small reef in front of the resort. Hence, it is very nice for snorkeling. Thanks a lot to the local employees. They are always open for a volleyball match in the evening.

I will give my opinion in this hotel who i stayed only one night with my husband
First there was Thia lady in the reception who was very bored and unfriendly

I didn't care for matter but the quality of resort is very poor generally and dirty
we were very disappointed. Value for money is not right this resort even not deserve 400 bath very expensive for such a bad hotel worth the money, the reception staff was unfrendly only one was good.
Dirty resort and very old rooms trush room no tv no phone bathroom very bad unbliveble uncomfortable mattress hurt my back all night, beach is very dirty and all jelayfish i not recommended this hotel to any one who want to lose his money he go to this hotel or this island

The whole place is a very relaxing peaceful. The staff are the best. And all the snorkeling is close by. Perfect

Nice and clean resort. A bit dated but overall a nice place to stay. The restaurant could improve, we had most of our meals at other restaurants on the beach. Even though the prices are higher on the islands they are still reasonable. The pool is nice and a good alternative to the ocean. Some ok snorkelling is accessible just of the beachfront.

Das Hotel liegt am besten Abschnitt des wunderschönen Strand von Koh Ngai.direkt vor dem Hotel liegt ein Riff - Ideal zum schnorcheln. Die Insel ist sehr ruhig (keine Straßen, Supermärkte, Geldautomaten.) und ist perfekt zum baden, tauchen, entspannen.
Das Personal machte einen etwas unmotivierten Eindruck. Das Restaurant ist okay - mehr aber auch nicht. Wir sind zum Abendessen in andere Resorts/Restaurants gegangen.
