Karst Climbing

Just returned from a trip to Thailand and the highlight was definitely a full day of climbing with Mon. The location was amazing and he picked out the perfect routes. We were a group of varying grades in rock climbing and there was something for everyone.

One of our party wasn't well on the day and Mon went out of his way to arrange a lift back to the hotel.

Hands down the best experience in Thailand and a great guide for all abilities.

Went on a full day climbing tour and had the best time. Tour includes transport to climbing spots, lunch and gear. Small groups and good instructions for beginners. Felt safe at all Times and would come back at any time!
Mon knows all the routes suitable for your level, from first time climbing expierence to Advanced and gives good advice in the more challenching parts of the climb!

I’ve always wanted to climb in Thailand and a friend recommended Karst Climbing in Ao Nang to my group. Best rock climbing trip and the guides were very experienced, professional, and friendly! Will definitely be coming back next time we make it to Thailand.

Had a really nice half day climbing with Mon! I have some outdoor climbing experience, but my bf didn't, so we choose a guide. It was really fun! And we got to belay each other (which we have experience in). Mon choose good routes for our level:)

Karst Climbing was fast to respond to emails + was on time for the pick up in the morning.

We had such an amazing time climbing with this group. They offered as much or as little help as you wanted depending on your climbing experience and kept the whole thing fun and relaxed. 10/10 would recommend

We had some happy climbing with pickup for a fine price. Guide (Mon) was nice and friendly - set up toprope and let us belay each other. Equipment was a bit worn, but safe. Nothing to complain about:)

A Great experience! The guide was helpful and patient. The price was very reasonable.
We did the morning half-day climb, which was great because the afternoons get hot.
I would recommend Karst for your Ao Nang climbing whether a beginner or experienced climber.

I had 2 great climbing days with Mon. I never climbed with a rope before, but Mon showed me how to set up everything for safe climbing. Mon knew every route in his sleep and always gave me tips from below where the best grips were. I can recommend Karst Climbing for beginners as well as advanced climbers. I had a lot of fun!

I thoroughly enjoyed my top rope climbs and lead climbs/belays. My instructor knew how to pace the course and challenged me in a way that I can accomplish it. Completely recommended for those who have climbed before and for those who have not (there were some beginners who did very well too).

Mon was a wonderful guide! The day was so fun and completely worth it. I went with a friend who had almost no experience while I was looking for something more difficult. Mon did an excellent job catering to our different ability levels - coaching my friend with patience and making him feel comfortable while allowing me to feel challenged. Karst was very responsive to my emails, answering questions and gave the best local advice on other things in the area that I got from anyone during my stay.

Spontaneous idea to do this for the first time - and am so glad I did.

Individual expert tuition by Mon, who seemingly knows every inch of the rock faces. And a shout out to Lauren too for leading the way.

The guide was excellent and really made everyone feel at ease at all levels, super helpful as well. He thought me how to belay which was an extra bonus.

My friend and I did a half day climbing experience with Karst Climbing at Railay beach east. Mon (the owner) picked us up from our hotel at 7: 50am and took us to the shop to pick up our equipment (relatively new shoes) then we drove to the pier to get a long boat to the climbing site (included in the climbing price).
At the site we set up and got climbing right away. The half day was over at around 12: 30pm but this wasn't a problem because I was already out of energy before that. I had the chance to climb 6 routes. Everything ran smoothly and we were able to stay at Railay beach afterwards to enjoy the rest of the day (Mon even gave us our return boat money back so we could buy the ticket later). I had a great time climbing with Mon, he understood my level and knew exactly which route to offer me which were the perfect difficulty for me. My friend also had a great time even though she had no climbing experience. Mon's help and patience made it possible for her to get to the top of all the routes she tried.

I'm so glad I chose karst company to climb with, I enjoyed the experience and it was definitely the highlight of my trip so far.

Would definitely recommend to anyone who has a desire to climb, whether experienced or not.

My partner and I went out with Mon for an all day climbing trip. Mon was fantastic. With great skill and lovely nature, he assessed us pretty quickly and accurately and catered to our capabilities perfectly. And challenged us to make it special. Was an awesome day. I took a 3 day climbing course with Karst and enjoyed it thoroughly! I chose this company because Lauren was very clear and responsive in answering my questions over email prior to booking which was super helpful! Mon was my guide and I’m pretty sure he could climb every inch of rock in Railay in his sleep. He’s a really knowledgeable climber, and as a beginner I appreciated his guidance very much. I ended up having a lot of 1: 1 instruction which I could tell a lot of the other climbing shops might not be able to offer because they have bigger groups. I would book again with this company!

Karst climbing is the best! Mon was great, he set up the perfect climbs for our ability, the pitches were three times higher than the other tour groups on the beach! We got so many climbs in and at two different locations. We had a fantastic day which included a cave trip to a gorgeous viewpoint and one last repel down out of the cave! So much fun!
