God-Le Restaurant

Stayed at the Shell sea beach resort hotel which was too expensive to eat in and found this amazing restaurant to eat lunch or dinner at!
As you walk out of the hotel turn right and wallk for 4-5 minutes you will see a boat moored on the left and God-leys is on the right. It is a very basic rustic building but please g do o not be no put off by he dimple decor you bc will eat the best Thai food. Nothing in Aonang is as good and all hotel tourists eat here too!
The owner is the loveliest most humble person and we cannot recommend enough!

Super authentic post, very basic but with lots of choices of typical dishes. The staff is very kind and gives fruit or dessert at the end of each meal. Absolutely recommended if you want to try typical Thai cuisine

We are renting in “chill out village” which is an incredible place to stay and we have already been in Thailand for a few weeks.
We ate at around twenty restaurants and we came across this one, in a remote corner 4 minutes from our house even though we had been to Bangkok, Krabi, Ao Nang and Railay Beach to eat. And there, surprise, in the middle of nothing and everything at the same time, on a bend, we can barely unseal the name of the restaurant. We are immediately welcomed by the 2 hosts of unparalleled kindness and humility. We were seated on a table almost above the water, we were alone, with the sound of the sea, banana trees, a hammock, with a small cabin typical of there, we are in the right place. The choice on the menu is impressive, the dishes we ate are absolutely incredible, at normal prices for the area, but above all the plates are much fuller than elsewhere, but wait, we offer you watermelon, mango, coffee, and tea. The two hosts are the kindest people we have met since the beginning of our stay. The setting is idyllic, it's the golden nugget we were looking for, we will come back as long as we are in Krabi. It's an address not to be missed, I would say that it's a shame for them that there aren't many people there but at the same time it's protected from the crowds, the music and the tourist traps, which is priceless.

An unbeatable location in front of the sea. There is absolute tranquility and it also has hammocks.
The best padthai I have had in Thailand without a doubt.
The best of all for that are the owners of the bar, two charming and super friendly people.
100% recommended, we will surely return!

Sehr empfehlenswert. Ein kleines Restaurant mit drei Tischen. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Gastfreundschaft der beiden Restaurantbesitzer war auch unbeschreiblich gut.

Der Ausblick aufs Meer war super schön. Unten am Strand findet man schon fossilartige Ablagerung, was in Shell Cemetery zu finden ist.

Achtung, viele Mücken!

BEST food I have had in Thailand!
The owners are so kind and generous, I felt like we were treated as family.
I became very emotional as we pulled away, knowing this would be one of those moments that stay with you forever.
So grateful we found this hidden gem!

One of the best kept secrets in Krabi. The food was delicious and the location so unique. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. The owners also, most hospitable people I’ve met here so far. If you’re in Krabi, you’ve gotta check this place out.

We went there for lunch.
It was hard to enjoy the place due to humidity, mosquitoes and various insects crawling on the table. Hahaha.
I've been to beach side restaurants, but I think the mosquitos were just a little too much for me this time round.
We ordered grilled prawns but they quickly attracted the red ants.
I personally liked the chicken basil, really spicy. So if you have low tolerance for spicy, please let owner know
The owner is a very honest looking man and the pricing is affordable. So I didn't felt unsafe.

So I guess if you are ok with the insects and mosquitoes, you can try experiencing God Le.

We LOVED it here! Just the perfect meal- it’s a simple restaurant by the sea with breathtaking views and hammocks if you feel inclined to a siesta post-lunch. The food was the best of our trip and just so fresh and affordable - make sure to get the tamarind prawns. The owner even gave us complimentary dessert to round off an amazing meal?

อาหารทะเลสดมาก รสชาดไม่ติดหวานแต่สั่งได้นะคะ ราคาไม่แพงเลย เจ้าของร้านน่ารัก รับออเดอร์เอง ทำเองแบบครอบครัว รออาหารไม่นาน บรรยากาศในร้านดีสุดๆ ยื่นไปในทะเล แต่เหมาะกับคนมีรถนะคะ หรือเช่ารถมาเพราะห่างจากอ่าวนาง แนะนำค่ะ

We ordered the sweet and sour chicken and vegetable fried rice, both were very good! The platforms over the water were such a beautiful place to eat and watch the sunset, and the folks were very kind.

You MUST try this restaurant.
We are staying at The Shellsea and this place is a five minute walk down the street but it’s worth a taxi journey if you’re further away!

We were treated to the ‘private dining’ experience tonight by Mel and Lee (no one else was there yet) and so we had the place to ourselves. A very warm welcome and a menu with something for everyone.
One of the dishes we had was Chicken with Cashew, which sounds basic and it usually is, but this completely unique and INSANELY DELICIOUS. Don’t be put off by the local feel and look, head in and get eating!

We’ll be going back!

If you stay near here, this is MUST GO restaurant!
All the menus are super tasty (especially Pad thai and amount of the food is bit larger than what you expect in usual Thai restaurants.
