Ao Nang Beach

It could be so beautiful - but: plastic waste, sewers that lead into the sea, it's a shame

It is quite possible to sunbathe and swim, although mostly people go to Riley for this. Place of attraction day and night - shopping, massage, currency exchange, excursions. The cafes nearby are too expensive.

I really don't understand how you can rate a beach like this with more than one point.
It's super dirty (okay everywhere in Thailand), there's just very little space in the depths and smelly, disgusting sewage (?) just flows into the sea via a hose. How can you find something like that good?

Ao Nang Beach is a beautiful place! The beach has white sand and clear water, and the surrounding cliffs look amazing. It's a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the sun. Beautiful, picturesque, clean and the gateway to the enchanting four islands, the beach is lined with various shops offering massages, ice creams, clothes and amazing food.

Dirty sea with raw sewage being pumped directly in the sea. Not clear at all, and because it’s a bay with no real currents to clear off the grim. Thai government and local councils should really do something about their state of seas. You’ll like it if you don’t care or have low standards but this ain’t a tropical paradise with clear water you’d hope for.

I can't fault this place. It's central to so many beautiful areas. Amazing scenery, food and people. Take a boat to any of the local islands from here

WATCH OUT FOR SEA URCHINS! The sand felt wonderful and soft until I ruined my foot. These things are hidden as the water is not that clear. They should really have warning signs for this. Otherwise, nice beach.

One of the most popular beaches in Krabi town, Thailand. I had a opportunity to visit this beautiful beach couple of months ago. I stayed Krabi for 3days and everyday I used to spend 3/4 hours here in this beach.
It’s a so vibrant that all day long there are hundreds of tourists enjoying themselves. And after afternoon to midnight there are more than 400-500 tourists are stay on the beach for enjoying sunset. Almost all tourist taking so many pictures.
The beach is just adjacent to main road of the town, so anyone who doesn’t get to the shore can enjoy its beauty. There are lots of beach view restaurants there so that tourists can enjoy up to midnight. And it’s a very safe place for tourists.

This beach is so beautiful. You can walk along a a beach. Also can do swimming and get a boat to go another island. This beach also have more shops and it is so colourful at night.

You can see blue and green water here. Water was little warm and I liked it. Beautiful scenery around. There are long tail and speed boat services from this beach.

Loved it! Nice long beach, perfect for long walks. Lots of hotels, restaurants, bars along the beach. Very clean, perfect for kids too!

Best sunset I have ever seen in Thailand. There are many tours offered from Ao Nang Beach to surrounding islands.

Thailand a place of mystery, endless partying, beautiful friendly people, majestic scenery (Ao Nang being one of those places) and my personal favourite food flavours at its best! Let's just say that if I were to serve up a menu of foods for the Gods. Thai food would be it!

The main beach at Ao Nang, picturesque but not the best beach for swimming due to the large numbers of long boats and speedboats coming and going taking tourists to other beaches and islands for day tours and visits.

Not so nice comparing to closer beaches. I would just suggest to skip this beach and tack a boat to krabi beach which i consider as one of the most beautiful beaches in whole Thailand.

Ao nang beach is a little bit dirty and does not have nice sand comparing to other beaches.dont wast your time.
