40baht for electrical and main part of cave. (5 stars)

Warm part for 200baht gas lamp+200baht recommended tip per guided tour. Its nice but only very special if no tour is ahead or behind you. Its not a must do otherwise.

ในสมัยก่อน ถ้ำเชียงดาวเป็นถ้ำที่เคยมีพระปัจเจกพุทธเจ้ามาพักและมีพระอรหันต์มานิพพาน ครั้นท่านพระอาจารย์มั่นมาพักบำเพ็ญสมณธรรมอยู่นั้น ท่านได้กล่าวว่า “ครั้งแรก ๆ เราก็พักอยู่ตีนเขาและบำเพ็ญความเพียร ต่อไปก็ขยับมาอยู่ที่ปากถ้ำ” ตรงปากถ้ำนั้นมีก้อนหินใหญ่ ท่านใช้ก้อนหินนั้นเป็นที่นั่งสมาธิ มีความรู้สึกว่าอยู่ในโลกอีกโลกหนึ่งมิใช่โลกนี้ ไม่ว่าจะเดินหรือนั่ง

เสียค่าเข้าปากทางถ้ำ คนละ20. - และต้องเสียค่าตะเกียง 200. -ต่อหนึ่งกลุ่ม ในการพาเดินเข้าถ้ำ และต้องบังคับต้องให้ทิปคนพาเดินอีกต่างหาก และมีคนถ่ายรูปคิดรูปละ40. - ภายในก็ธรรมดา ดูเร่งรีบทำรอบมากไป

Nice place to visit. Very long and save cave. The cave was used for many renowned monk including Luanpu-Man, Luangpu-Pan

ข้างหน้าถ้ำมีบ่อน้ำ น้ำใสมากๆ ข้างในถ้ำ มีไฟบริเวณทางเดินบ้าง แต่ยังค่อนข้างมืด จ้างคนนำทางในถ้าอาจจะดีกว่า

วัดถ้ำเชียงดาวลึก 300 กว่าเมตรภายในมีอีก 2 ถ้ำแยก 700 เมตร ต้องจ้างไกด์ 200 เพื่อนำทางและถือคบเพลิง

ถ้ำด้านในมีไฟที่ห้องโถงพระนอน อาจไม่ต้องให้ไกด์ตะเกียงพาเข้าไป จะมีช่างถ่ายรูปตามมาถ่ายเรา840บาทสำหรับรูป เราไม่ต้องให้เค้าถ่ายก็ได้เพราะไม่ใช่มืออาชีพ

The cave is one of the most important sites in Chiang Dao. Outside the cave, there will be some temple shrines which are very beautiful. Before entering the cave, there will be a few people selling flowers and fish food to feed the catfish. If you are a woman, you will have to wear clothes that cover your knees. For men, wearing shorts is fine. Inside, you will have to get a tour guide before entering. There is also another route that you can do alone. There are some amazing sights inside, and you are allowed to take pictures.

บรรยากาศในถ้ำเย็นสบาย มีค่าเข้า20฿ แล้วมีบริการนำเที่ยวชมถ้ำต้องจ่ายเงินเพิ่มไกด์จะพาไปอีกทางในการเดินสำรวจถ้ำโดยใช้ตะเกียง

###READ IT BEFORE ENTRY###: ticket caves is 40bht. When you entry and arrive photo point, AVOID GUIDES and go on right way (FREE&SAVE, no worries). They try to convince you pay "200bht+guide tip" for show you a small cave on the left of photo. They do it in 5 minutes and really you can avoid it because is not nicely that free option. Up to you.

Nice little cave complex but it the mood was ruined by how everything seem to be oriented to just pull money from your pockets. Donate to this, put money here, you need to buy this, donate to that and so on. And even exploring some places needed a "guide" so if you wanted to go there you had to pay. I can't bring it down to much for it. Donating is of course optional and if you don't want to you don't have to and the place is still beautiful.

Pretty large cave. Don't like the part that you need to pay 200 baht more for a lantern and a guide to visit the other part in cave. If you don't pay for guide you cannot enter that part. And entrance fee is required.

สวย อากาศเย็นสบายรมรื่นดี แต่พอเข้าไปในถ้ำแล้วคนละเรื่องกันเลยเพระว่า กลิ่นธูปกลิ่นน้ำมันหอมระเหยพียบ และปากทางออกถ้ำแคบมากแทบจะออกไปไม่ได้เลย (อ้วนเกิน>. <) แต่สนุกดีค่ะ≈. ≈

ถ้ำขนาดใหญ่มีหลายซอกหลายมุม การเที่ยวแบ่งเป็นสองส่วน ส่วนแรกคือแบบทั่วไป ค่าเข้า 20 บาท สำหรับคนไทย สามารถเดินชมส่วนที่ติดไฟส่องสว่างและมีทางเดินได้เอง มีหินงอกหินย้อยนิดๆ หน่อยๆ สวยงามพอใช้ได้

อีกส่วนต้องจ้างไกด์ 200 บาท ต่อกลุ่ม เพื่อนำชมถ้ำส่วนที่ไม่ได้ติดไฟส่องสว่าง ข้างในมีหินงอกหินย้อยสวยงามมากหลายจุด คุ้มค่าไกด์มากๆ

มาเที่ยวแล้วต้องยอมเสียสักหน่อย นอกจากจะสวย ยังเป็นรายได้ของชาวบ้านท้องถิ่น เพราะไกด์ทุกคนเป็นคนที่นี่ทั้งหมด

Too many hidden cost. The sign at the entrance shows only entry fee of 20 Baht per person (40 baht if you cannot read Thai). But you will be able to go into only the first part of the cave except you pay additional 200 Baht per group (up to 5 people) to hire a guide. The staff in the cave will also keep asking you to let her take photos at the cost of 40 Baht each.
