A traditional Thai market. It was a great opportunity for me to see a little of everyday life of Thai people.

We went here to pick up ingredients for our cooking class and learned so much about the ingredients we would soon be using. The selection was great and it wasn't overrun with folks all over the place. It was nicely situated in the city's walls too.

Fun market for tourists-they sell prepackaged Thai cooking essentials as souvenirs (eg kefir lime leaves, dried lemongrass). Not the biggest selection or the cheapest prices as far as markets go, but very convenient for tourists picking up stuff to cook Thai food at home.

The best Kao Soi in town, sold in small stall on the left just past the entrance from the canal side.

Fun little market to grab some food or snacks at. One of the vendors do sweet and spicy peanuts with lime leaves in them that are great.

Went to this market as a part of our cooking school experience. They have a great range of spices, local delicacies and other things you may want to take home with you.
