Ming Muang Market reviews
28I like Minh Muang Market as it's more locals and where you would go and eat or buy your groceries if needed:)
Oldest wooden market in chiang mai.
Nice fruit to snack on and yummy restaurants around the corner
It's really delicious here. I ordered pad thai and stir-fried pork, and the two together cost less than 100 baht.
The seasoning was just right and it was delicious. Of course, the ingredients inside were a little thinner than at fancy restaurants, but considering the price, it was a good deal and the portions were good. Above all, the seasoning is just right ㅠ The pad thai is really good.
Nice local market that sells variety of fresh produce, ready cooked food and spices/herbs.
By five o'clock, the door
It was closed a lot and I'm going to live. It doesn't seem like much?
Hidden gem, very relaxed, they sell different types of seasons, dry fruits and if you want a fresh fruit salad make sure to stop at the salad bar. If you are driving a scooter there is parking inside.
Took me 5 min to walk around. Very small and not much to see. Most products were purchased from big supermarket to resell
Also known as 'Somphet market, ' 'Ming Muang Market' stretches a long way back, under cover, from Moon Muang Road Lane 6, and offers a wide range of Thai vegetables, fruits and meats.
Often used by many of Chiang Mai's cooking schools for selecting and buying produce for their classes.
Nice market in general but the two ladies near the center that serve pad kra pow for crazy cheap are five stars by themselves. Best dish I have had in Chiang Mai.
Too much is not enough. What that really means you can experience yourself when you walk through this market.it is very exciting, a huge joy to explore all those textures and impressions. Are you prepared to be surprised. Beware of some of the images you will see maybe or not very pleasing to Westerners eyes. There are some raw meat-stands those will test your senses.
Have to go here the ladies at the back of the market set 7 types of curries.they make 5000 meals a day.
Overshadowed by Somphet market in front, where most people seem to go. Ming Muang Market, under cover stretches back behind Somphet and offers a range of Thai vegetables, fruits and meats.
Very empty during the covid situation.
Such a cool little tourist spot. I'm sure locals shop here too, but it's set up for the cooking classes to bring foreigners and get them to buy all the stuff they teach you to cook with. Which we did! Because the food was amazing!

Good place to grab food if you want to skip the restaurants some times. You can get fruit and prepared food to take away or eat in the market.
It's a local food market and sells lots of Thai vegetables. Great if you want to discover what is in your curry.
We came here with the instructor of our cooking class at Thai Basil Cooking School. It was a great market with fresh produce, dried local spices, clothing, and much more! Worth checking out if you want a local market experience.
It seems to be the price is better than other markets, the lady who sells fruit salad might be the highlight of the market.
Best breakfast in town at the fruit/coffee stand. Had a amazing fruit salad with yoghurt for 60 baht.
The rest of the market is quite cool. You find clothes, spices, fruits and vegetables. You can style your hair, too.
The wooden construction is pretty fancy.
Many cooking classes come here to show the stuff to their customers. So sometimes you see a lot of tourists wearing pink aprons.
