Loyy Hotel

Definitely a hostel and not a hotel. Provided a small free breakfast. Bathrooms weren’t very clean which wasn’t particularly nice. Would recommend for a couple of nights

Daddy long legs running on the bed.
Unswept floor.
Spiders webs on all corners with bugs dead.
Sewage reeking from shower drain to bedroom.
Receptionist were happy to give a refund.
Cheap but no thanks.

The women that commented below was rude to the reception for attending people that arrived first and not her

ไม่รู้ พนง. ญ คนนั้นเค้าเปนอะไรแต่ดูไม่มีเซอร์วิสมายเลย หรือทำงานแล้วไม่มีความสุขก็ไม่แน่ใจ

The Loyy Hotel in Chiang Mai offers a remarkable stay, highlighted by its welcoming staff and distinctive amenities. They were sweet, helpful and professional. Although the rooms themselves don't have balconies, the shared big balcony-type terrace provides a communal space that surpasses the typical hostel experience.

During a short one-day stay, the hotel managed to capture my heart with its spacious rooms and the shared terrace boasting stunning views. The communal bathrooms and restrooms maintained high standards of cleanliness and comfort. Additionally, the presence of both a lift and stairs accommodates guests' preferences, ensuring convenience.

One of the standout features of the hotel is the diverse seating options on each floor, as depicted in their photos and videos, contributing to the hotel's unique character. Moreover, the presence of a well-equipped common kitchen adds practicality and convenience to the stay.

What truly sets the Loyy Hotel apart is its affordability without compromising on quality. This establishment transcends the typical hostel experience, offering a shared terrace that fosters community while allowing guests to relax and enjoy their personal space—a true gem in Chiang Mai's accommodation scene.

I must say I'm a satisfied customer. This hotel offers you valuable options for every needs. From the rooms, facilities & amenities. All was top notch. The place is compacted with things we need. Amazing.

Located in strategic place where you can find many attractions & good places to visit nearby. You can borrow the bicycle for free or rent a motorbike with affordable prices. Ask the crew, they're really helpful.

The only thing keeping the one star away from the room is the lack of outlets in mine. Every outlet was far from the bed, and there was none in the bathroom.

Overall, great staff, lounge, wifi, and the free breakfast (self-service). Wifi is a little inconsistent inside my room, but it was still serviceable. You can also rent bicycles for free (you just need to leave a refundable deposit for it) and it was nice using that to go around the area.

Great location, and it is easy to walk around with plenty of options for food, massage, drinks, and markets. Breakfast was simple but easy, make your own with a fried rice dish one of the staff had made which was delicious. Beds are not super comfortable but sufficient. Nice views, easy check-in, and friendly team.

The service attitude at noon is very poor. I stayed for three nights. The room was locked at noon the next day, and I notified the front desk clerk. No apology or reason, just handed me the key card and told me problem solved. The toilet has no drain hole, the air conditioner is loud and the dresser is dirty.

Khách sạn có cho mượn xe đạp nhưng phải trả trước 8 pm, giờ này là quá sớm để có thể mượn xe đạp đi chợ đêm.
Nhân viên lễ tân rất nhiệt tình và dễ thương, nói tiếng Anh tốt.
Tuy nhiên có 1 bạn nhân viên lễ tân không nhiệt tình, không cười, thái độ khó chịu, không hỗ trợ khách, (đó là 1 bạn nhân viên nữ đang niềng răng), đó là điều duy nhất làm tôi không hài lòng khi ở khách sạn này.

The hotel is located in a good location, crowded, busy.
Room was clean, quiet.
There is a kitchen area for cooking, including a washing machine and dryer (charges apply if used).
The hotel has a free bicycle rental but must return it before 8pm, it is too early to borrow a bicycle to go to the night market.
The receptionists are very enthusiastic and cute, speak good English.
However, there is 1 receptionist who is not enthusiastic, does not smile, has an unpleasant attitude, does not support guests, (it is a female staff member with braces), that is the only thing that makes me unhappy when in this hotel.

No parking for cars need to park near street (which not much space for parking). Close to Night Bazar market and Tapae walking zone.

Great value for price. Beds have a light, a shelf, a curtain, and a locker. They give you a towel. There is free breakfast (pancakes, toast, and cereal). Front desk was super rude/unhelpful at every interaction, every single time. Loction is 5 minutes from chinese night market, Thai boxing, and drag show (best one). Restaurant and bars literally right out side but not to close as to where it's loud at night.

Good location between old city and the night market. Good value for money. Stayed in women's dorms, comfortable bed. They kept toilets always clean, though the shower curtain was a bit dirty. Room has medium size lockers (my backpack couldn't fit inside).

Unfortunately having stayed in this place for quite some time, I don't recommend this hostel unless u are only staying for a couple of nights.
Although the location is very good, the staff isn't very welcoming or kind to put it gently.especially one of them always has an annoyed look whatever u ask, and gives the rudest answers.
The building is very closed up, there's no terraces or open spaces except for the breakfast area but still isn't an outside area, they could have some plants inside at least but that's not the case so u miss on the amazing views of the city and the absence of common areas makes it difficult if not impossible to really socialise with other guest.
There' a shared kitchen with a fridge, a microwave and a kettle but you aren't allowed to cook ur food anyway, so that's quite unfortunate as well as strange, also They keep asking to clean after urself, which I found pretty annoying after sometime given that we are adults not kids, and certainly are used to wash up.
In the end I wouldn't categorize this as an hostel but more like a motel to rent a room for a day or two and off u go.

ตอนเช้ามีอาหารเบาๆน้ำผลไม้หรือนมและขนมปังปิ้งแต่ต้องล้างจานคืน

ต่างชาติค่อนข้างมาพักเยอะเพราะอยู่ในเขตไนท์บาร์ซ่า

ลูกจองให้มาพักผ่อน โรงแรมดีห้องพักกว้างขวาง สะอาด สะดวกสบาย front ดีมากๆ ให้คำแนะนำดีทุกเรื่อง เสียแต่ที่จอดรถไม่สะดวก แต่สามารถจอดริมถนนได้ หรือจอดในบริเวณวัดด้านหน้าโรงแรมได้ แต่ประตูวัดปิดเวลา 18.00 น. และเปิด เวลา 6.00 น. ในตอนเช้า ถ้าจัดเวลาได้ก็หมดปัญหา ใครจะมาเชียงใหม่แนะนำที่นี่เพราะใกล้ไนท์บาซ่า คลองแม่ข่า

I’m not that experienced in hostels but I found this one to be less private than other places I’ve stayed.

Bunked beds without full curtains and prison like facilities. Lockers that don’t lock unless you supply your own and nothing if a back pack fits in them anyway.

If this has been renovated recently, they spent nothing on making the rooms more comfortable.

Painfully difficult receptionist wouldn’t change $1000THB to pay the grab driver. I had to ask people out on the street… but at check in took $1000THB and gave change. WHY COULDN’T SHE HAVE HELPED ME OUT EARLIER BY DOING THIS?

They need staff that speak English.

Very clean and well run hostel but had some very frustrating encounters with staff that worked there that spoke basically no English.
