Whisgars (Sukhumvit 23)

Great place to have a drink and smoke a cigar. I really liked the Caesar salad. At 21: 00 a music group starts playing, a girl with a beautiful voice sings. I recommend this place for a leisurely meditative relaxation in a wonderful atmosphere. I didn’t really like the music in the place (before the concert). In a bar like this, jazz or something like that would be more suitable, rather than pop music.

Their 1+1 taco Tuesday is a scam, their beer prices are rooftop bar levels.not recommended

Amazing place. Staff is super friendly and helpful, the place has the style needed, the recommendations for first timers (on cigars) are great, and overall everything was at the expectations or better. Highly recommended. Clean, clean toilets, not so cold (with the AC) and the cocktails are exceptional. 10/10. Thanks!

The music is amazing, very nice ambiance. They have live music. A large drink selection, and very nice staff members.

It caters to groups as well as the person who just wants to relax unbothered. By far the best experience in Bangkok.

I smoked my first cigar here. The environment is amazing, and there’s a large stock of cigars. Whiskey selection is also great. I quite literally felt like I traveled back in time when I first came here due to the atmosphere. Big recommendation from me. Great lounge to smoke a good cigar and drink some whiskey. Do note that they sell per stick and do not sell boxes, or at least that was what I was told when I last went, though I still highly recommend it, the cigar quality here is amazing, from multiple countries, also including Cubans.

The atmosphere of this bar was incredible - they had live music and an impressive whiskey and cigar selection. Staff was extremely friendly and was helpful in selecting a cigar pairing for me, as I don't smoke cigars often.

Everthing is great, cigar, whisky and cocktail. But it is little bit cold for me.

The band show starts from 9: 30. Keep in mind, if you fully enjoy the vibe of WHISGARS.

Nice getaway spot that gave me a feel of home. When you need a break from Bangkok come here and get something different.

Very classy and good vibe pub, feel like sit in the London bar. However the smell of Cigars is too much, so not a non-smoker friendly place. Lots of whisky to try and good live music

Fantastic! Excellent selection of cigars and even better collection of scotch and whiskey. Staff is uber friendly and attentive while the leather couches/chairs and Jazz invite you to stay.forever. Incredible smoke ventilation as well. The only reason I dropped the fifth star is for the price gouging. Not the establishments fault. Thailand sadly has exorbitant taxes on tobacco and imported liquors. Definitely worth the wallet pain for a great and memorable evening.

Drinks were good but had a bad experience with a Cuban that tunneled and wouldn’t stay lit. When I spoke with the staff she tried to fix the cigar by hollowing out about an inch of the filler and relighting the binder and wrapper. She was then surprised that the cigar didn’t stay lit. Not sure the staff knows cigars well.

This is every man's dream. Great whiskys, amazing cigars, awesome food, great music and the atmosphere is bang on.

Whisgars is one of my absolute favorite places to enjoy a whisky and cigar, not just in Bangkok, and Bangkok has its far share of great places. For me though, Whisgars has excellent service, a great selection of whiskys, decent selection of cigars (though as a locker member I keep my own cigars there) and a great selection of high quality food (the pastrami sandwich is the best in Asia though Katz's Deli is the best I've had anywhere). The plush leather chairs, jazz music in the background and cigar decor also contribute positively to the overall ambiance. If you're in Bangkok and want a really wonderful whisky and cigar experience, do not pass up Whisgars.

In a country where I found it hard to get decent whisky at most bars, this place was like heaven. They have a very strong selection of whiskies (though I hope they add more Islay selections in the future) and cigars to accompany them. The people serving you are knowledgeable and the service is great.

My friend and I had a great time and I am definitely returning whenever I am in Bangkok next.

Prices are on the higher side, but worth it, IMO.
