This place is THE BOLLOCKS. None of that fancy-shmancy BS; just pure, unadulterated Bangkok awesomeness with a side order of kickass. The beer is cheap, the food is epic, but don’t be all British and expect the world and then get all passive-aggressive when it doesn’t happen; THEY DON’T GIVE A TOSS. Jack's bar is a quiet tucked away Riverside bar great for unwinding after a busy day in theidst of the Bangkok hustle and bustle. Its a decent spot to watch the sunset and take in all the activities happening on the river. The beers are quite reasonably priced at 100baht for large Leo or Chang bottles.

If you’re looking for a dive bar on the river, Jacks bar is your place. They will hand you a bottle of wine and you can serve it yourself. Just perfect. And the view is awesome as well.

They have a huge menu card of traditional thai food. Ones you have your meal you can enjoy it, while many little ships and boats are crossing your view on the water.

Very cute dive bar on the river. The food was very pricy though. It was packed with people enjoying the view and each other’s company though

Rustic funky bar on the river. Great place to watch the river traffic. You can also book a 1,000 baht private long tail boat for an hour in the bar and get picked up at the pier right in front.

Have a beer, in a wooden shack overlooking the river with some tasty Thai snacks. Easy place of which not many exist in BKK anymore.

What a great bar. Right on the water. Good prices, great views, great service. Variety of beers and wines etc. Extremely casual divebar in the best possible way. Decent selection of food on the menu so you won't have to drink on an empty stomach. Complete with a very lazy bar dog. What more can you ask for? Great spot

A simple little wooden bar/restaurant right on the river. It's a very relaxed environement but does attract a decent crowd of people at peak times.

Simple but nice place next to the river. Located between Shangri-la and Mandarin Oriental. Access to the bar next to the main wing of Shangri-la. Nice views onto the river. Good food. Cool drinks.

Casual dining place by the river. Decent enough Thai food. Great spot to relax and watch the world go by. Fills up quickly for lunch, so better come early.

Great food, great location right on the water. Fun to watch the boats go by at ant time. Harder to get a prime spot during dinner. Delicious food but of course a fair bit more expensive than the stalls and other local spots around the corner on the main road

My go to destination in THAILAND! I always stay at the shangrila in Bangkok right next door. Jack and his family are warm and inviti ng. Food is great and views are AMAZING.

A dive bar with food right on the river. Cold beer, great view, excellent food. This is Thailand so don't expect the Ritz, this place has old wooden tables, flies and you can see the water through the gaps in the floor. Boats are docked right in front of you. You need to walk the gauntlet of touts on the way here, it is right near the Shangri La Hotel. Gets very crowded on weekends and in evenings.

I want to say that Jack's bar is one of the famous restaurant that I've been in Bangkok for 5days. I would like to recommend Fried rice, Tom yum goong, Phat thai, Morning glory! Beer is your prefer but everything is so good. You can also enjoy nice views when you go there after 6 PM. Enjoy and help yourself!

Nice little riverside bar and restaurant. The beer was cold and moderately priced. Decent view and service. I had the Tom khar Kai soup and it was a bit salty and not as good as some others I've had, but I still enjoyed it. Worth the stop.

Ok, but getting pricy (didn't used to be). Avoid toilets. (and NEVER book boat ride off people there, with 'Jack's Bar ' sticker on their desk [see photos ] we got badly ripped off by them. If they do persuade you to pay them to take you on river tour then ask for receipt, ask for contract, take photos and be prepared to ring Tourist Police, 1155, meh, on second thoughts, just go to a reputable business!).
