Enoteca Bangkok

I can't say enough good about my dining experiences, plural, at Enoteca. Every time I learn something from the tasting menu, whether about food, wine, or pairing the two. The cooking varies from baseline superb to revelatory. And the service is calm, professional, and unobtrusive.

Nice venue, in the middle of a narrow lane, but with a nice lawn. We came here for dinner.
Cold cuts were average.
Seafood soup was a mess. Filled with small squid rings and overcooked bits of fish and shrimp. The soup itself was way too thick and too little of it.
Pigeon page was fine but unremarkable.
Paparadelle stuffed with an amatricana sauce allow the pasta to get a slightly crispy texture. But it is not the hearty original. Not bad but only two strands of the pasta.
The foie gras ravioli was alright.
The turbot was utterly terrible. Overcooked and wooden. Was it turbot? Or some local fish? Had no taste. This sort of inferior ingredient should never have been offered. The kitchen must have known. Totally unforgivable.
We left without bothering to order dessert.

I had an incredibly enjoyable experience at Enoteca. We had the Seven Sins - 7 course menu. Dining at this restaurant truly feels like an art form. The dishes were not only delicious but also presented like exquisite works of art, pleasing both the palate and the eyes. Furthermore, the service was impeccable.

Surely one of best Italian in Bangkok, not only Taste & flavor, very friendly hospitality highly valued to be repeaters.

Very nice restaurant with beautiful atmosphere. Very chic and also quite expensive. The parmigiana and the sugo from the rigatoni wasn‘t very good at all for that kind of a price. And the wagyu beef neither.
But we have to say that the vegetarian tortelloni were very good and delicious as well the burata salad.

I made the reservation through their website with a note stating that it was a surprise for my husband’s birthday as well as food request.
At our arrival, the waitress was discret and did not show any menu to my husband except for the drinks.
We had a lovely 5 course menu called Omakase and all the dishes were nicely presented, explained and delicious to the palet.
The proportion was enough to enjoy the entire course.
We had a final “cake surprise” that the restaurant made (I was not aware of). We were touched by this attention.
The wine they proposed were good. And the Chef came to talk to us.
The restaurant is located in a small soi to give some privacy to the place as well as the soft inside and outdoor lighting.
We will for sure go back to try their menu a la carte.
We do recommend this restaurant.

That was my second time at Enoteca. Both visits were phenomenal. First time got their classic 5 courses with wine pairing, second time we tried the 5 courses omakase with wine pairing (ended up in a 6 courses because we really enjoyed ourselves). Quite a culinary experience - each time. For what it is, prices are very okay. This quality of service in Bangkok is truly a gem. A fine dinning experience! We will be back 100% sure.

Very pleasing upscale Italian boutique restaurant. All the preparations were great! Vegetarian options. Small but delicious portion of food! Everything with a very nice twist! Bit pricey but worth every penny!

To be honest, it was an average dinner. I ordered an entree, pasta, steak and dessert. The entree was an eggplant dish, but it would have been better if it had a crispy texture, but it was okay in its own way. The pasta was beyond expectations. Pasta like ravioli served with bubbles showed many flavors at once in the mouth. Steak was unprofessional compared to the price. It should have been crisper on the outside. The potatoes that came with it would have been much better with simple mashed potatoes. It looked crispy, but it was wet with a lot of oil. Dessert was a gelato-like lemon ice cream, which was very satisfying.

The staff were friendly and provided adequate service. While I was there, every table was a group of 5 or more, and it was a little noisy, but not uncomfortable.

They have a good wine list (if they actually have all of them) and the wine list by the glass wasn't bad, but I felt it was a bit overpriced.

We ordered sea bass as main course but they mistakenly served us turbot and the manager asked us if it was ok for substitute? We politely accepted it because other main dish has already been served. This should never happened to restaurant at this level. Foods is great but the service really hold me back next time. Oh you have to ask for olive oils after the bread is served.

Superb - probably the best Italian in Bangkok. If you add the ambiance it is the best Italian in Bangkok

Exquisite food and huge wine collection. Only for true gourmet food lovers as the price might pinch.

Having been to great Italian restaurants in Italy and in over 60 cities in North America and about 40 countries around the world. I can say with much aplomb that I crown this place as the best Italian food outside of the motherland. Enjoy at your own discretion - you may get pleasantly addicted.

Just beyond expectations, super quality food served with and excellent service and friendly staff.it s not one of those big, commercial and busy restaurants, but rather a gem hidden in streets of Bangkok.very private and quiet atmosphere, where you can enjoy dinner with yr other half with a glass of good wine.very cosy and home-y feeling.all perfect and will be coming back for sure.thank you!

Delicious as always. Truffle lasagna was perfection. But star of the show will always be the pigeon tortellini.

Beautiful place with cozy environment, great Italian fine dining on omakase 4 or 5 course dinner, value for money

Got the babysitter in and took my wife out for dinner here at the weekend. The different bottles of olive oil available were fantastic though the bread wasn't especially fresh. Smoked scallops starter was genuinely excellent, with an amazing mixed of smoke and acidity making it one of best and unique starters I've had in Bangkok.

The two pasta dishes were great, and I had food evy over my wife's choice of the crispy Italian sausage Tortellini. For secondi my wife had beef tenderloin and I had lamb cutlets. Both were very well put together, though greater consideration of vegetable accompaniments to the mains would be been welcomed.

There clearly is an attempt at the fine dinning experience here, with the range of taster menu options available, which we will probably return to test out at some point.

Of course their USP is their absolutely vast wine collection, from light table wine through to exclusive limted edition bottles from the owners private collection with prices that go up to really whatever you're willing to spend! The range can be quite daunting (even for those who fancy themselves as connoisseurs!) but owner was excellent at making wholly reasonable and well considered pairing suggestions with the dishes we'd ordered.

Overall, excellent, 4.5/5 although the only issue is that any top end Italian restaurant in Bangkok inevitably ends up getting compared to La Bottega di Luca.and on ingredients, menu concept, portions and price-point, Enoteca didn't quite take their crown! Though granted a few more visits are needed to make that comparison. Service was excellent.

I seem to recall for 2 starters, 2 pasta dishes, 2 mains and a shared dessert + two bottles of mid-range Italian red wine came to a little under 14000THB! So definitely pricey.

My sense is they would probably do well to reduce their menu to handfull of superbly executed dishes (like the scallops!) and keep the taster menus to 1 or 2 max. But we'll certainly be back once I've taken out a small mortgage!

Tonight at Enoteca, we arrived before sunset, the atmosphere is very impressive. The restaurant located around Sukhumvit 29, a cozy place great for special occasion. They have 4,5, and 7 course menu which we might consider try next time. They have huge italian winelist, tonight we choose for white wine.

️The food are outstanding with taste and presentation. But it take waiting time for our main course.
