Thung Khai Botanic Garden

It's OK, for your morning exercise, walk. 3kms and allow 1.5 hrs, though I didn't stroll over to the herb garden. Arrived 0830, done 1000, very leisurely stroll, what few stops for photo (quick, no posing).

Actually went there for birding, heard 2, saw 1 species, and a bit disappointing in that aspect, but nice stroll none the less.

IF in the neighborhood, why not. Wouldn't bother with a special trip though, and I would bother revisit if in the neighborhood again. Once was enough.

If into plants, then probably enjoy it more.

3 tiera of raised walkway, maybe 50 meters each, and nice enough. Nothing strenuous.

Mozzies not a problem, a few, and not the Dengue type. Long pants worn, and didn't really need long sleeve shirt, which I didn't wear. In the shade most of the walk, but no breeze.

As a resident of Trang I visit these gardens regularly. Today I visited and was nearly seriously injured. The tracks in one section are very dangerous and should be shut to the public before someone is hurt. Over the past six months these gardens have been neglected and now it is like walking on slippery ice and is a major hazard to public safety. Information staff refused to even get off their phone to discuss my safety concerns.

Free entry. It is a nice meandering jaunt thru a well covered jungle canopy.

Absolutely no mosquitos whilst I was there and was pleasantly surprised at how clean the place is.

You'd expect to find discarded water bottles scattered about but I managed to only pick up two.

Well done to folks managing the place.

สถานที่ร่มรื่นเหมาะแก่การมาเที่ยวชมพันธุ์ไม้ มีสะพานเดินชมยอดไม้ อเมซิ่งมาก ใครไม่เคยมาควรมาสักครั้งนึง

It is a shady forest garden. I visited on a cloudy and windy day. It seems like it's going to rain, so we can't walk much and hurry back.

Big trees, shady, with a sign telling the name of the tree and QR-code provide addition information. The great thing is that there is no entrance fee, people can go for jogging or cycling.

In addition, there is a coffee shop near by the entrance. So, after trailing, you can sit back for coffee or have a small snack.

Very quiet place to walk and explore the raised walkways. There is another circular route of about 5 km.that can be done on foot. One of the few places in Thailand that do not charge to enter (for now). Highly recommended

Really nice walk through the forest and a swamp. Best part of course was the high hanging walkway. Some parts was higher over the trees. But some rust made it feel little unsafe, some parts hade holes all the way through the metal. And the last walk hade some overgrown paths that made it hard to walk, with fallen sticks with small spikes you almost hard the crawl under. But still worth the beautiful walk.

ตอนแรกที่เดินเข้าไปจะเป็นทางเดินธรรมดา หลังจากนั้นจะเริ่มแอดวานซ์ขึ้นมาหน่อยเป็นสะพานแขวนประมาณ 5-6 สะพาน ขึ้นสูงขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ แล้วลงต่ำมา แล้วก็เจอทางเดินป่าแบบ adventure นิดหน่อย ถึงจะเจอทางเดินปกติแบบยาว ๆ

ไปเดินตอนเช้าๆ ช่วงฝนตก อากาศเย็นมากค่ะ สะพานสีแดงสวย ในป่าสงบดี ทำทางเดินให้แล้ว เดินสบายๆเลยนะคะ ไม่เสียค่าเข้าชมน้า แต่เราซื้อยาฉีดกันยุงไปขวดละ 25 บาท ถือว่าช่วยค่าบำรุงสภานที่ค่ะ

เป็นสวนพฤกษศาสตร์ที่อนุรักษ์ไว้ดีมากๆ ต้นใหม้ใหญ่ สูง เยอะมาก ทำสะพานเดินชมมุมสูง เสียวๆ หน่อยๆ เป็น landmark ให้คนได้เข้ามาเยี่ยมชม เพื่อเป็นการสนุนการอนุรักษ์ธรรมชาติ

ทางเดินใช้ตัวหนอนตลอดทาง ทำให้ลื่นไปหน่อยโดยเฉพาะโซนป่าดิบชื้น แต่ก็ถือว่าเป็นทางดี ๆ ตลอดการเดินชมครับ เสียดายไม่มีเวลาเดินเข้าไปต่อ มาได้ถึงแค่สะพานแดง

สวนป่าใกล้ตัวเมือง ไม่มีค่าเข้าชม แต่สามารถสนับสนุนทุนการศึกษาให้น้องๆ นักเรียนที่มาเป็นไกด์นำชมด้านในได้ ตัวเรือนยอดไม้ หรือสะพานแดง เดินไปอีก 800 เมตร ระหว่างทางมีป้ายบอกชนิดพืช และพรรณไม้ ตัวป้ายยังใหม่ มีรายละเอียด ดีกว่าทุกที่ที่เคยไปมา

อยู่ไม่ห่างจากในเมือง ต้นไม้หลากพันธุ์ น่าศึกษา เป็นแหล่งธรรมชาติให้ความรู้และเป็นที่พักผ่อนไปในตัว

Got there around 3.30 pm on Wednesday and were warmly welcomed by a snake and a bengal monitor at the beginning of our trail. Even though it's been my second time visiting here, Mother Nature can still get me by surprise.

Anyway, get yourself comfortable and ready for the trail by wearing a pair of sport or walking shoes, spraying yourself with the bug repellents, and bringing a bottle of water with you.

The trail is around 3-km long. The first one-third part is easy and relaxing with the shade of the trees and brick walkways. Then it comes the second one-third part, which is the most exciting and a daunting challenge for those who want to conquer their fear of heights. After the canopy walkway, keep walking forward to the unpaved path leading you to the deeper forest. Until you enter the swamp area where you have to be super careful becasue of the slippery walkway, which is the last one-third part of the trail. It took us about 50 minutes to complete the walk.

The entry is free and this might be the reason they don't put enough maps and signs along the walkway.

Nice and quite big botanical garden just outside Trang. The canopy walk is nice, and if you continue on the path you get to a swamp with some slippery walkways. They could have had more maps of the trail than just the single one at the start though.

Very well-protected and cared botanical garden! We enjoyed our time there a lot. No entrance fee. FREE! Walking here is a true nature therapy. Recommend to all city folk. Total distance of the canopy trail is approximately 3 kilometers. 3km is not that long when you enjoy reading all name tags of many different kinds of trees along the way.

เป็นสถานที่ที่ดีมาก มีความรู้ตลอดทางเดิน เลี้ยวขวาประมาณ 3 km เดินไป อ่านป้ายความรู้ที่ต้นไม้ไป เพลินๆ จัดเป็นฐานเป็นช่วงตามชนิดพันธุ์ไม้ มีสะพานแดงเอาไว้ดูพันธุ์ไม้สูงๆ ไม่มีค่าเข้า เดินง่าย ได้ทั้งความรู้และออกกำลังกาย แนะนำมาช่วงเช้า ช่วงฝนไม่ตกจะดีมาก
มีที่จอดรถ มีห้องน้ำ
อยากให้ปรับปรุงกลิ่นของห้องน้ำและตะไคร้น้ำตรงทางเดินช่วงป่าพรุ อาจลื่นได้ ที่เหลือคือดีมากๆ คนตรังโชคดีมีสถานที่ดีๆแบบนี้ ห้ามพลาด
