หาดไข่มุก Pearl Beach reviews
10The beach looks nice, the promontory appears at low tides and disappears when the tide is high. However, we did not like it due to the large number of stones, crabs and starfish that appeared at the bottom during high tides (without shoes, we entered the water up to our ankles, so you couldn't see what you were stepping on). We weren't impressed with the water either, we were definitely more pleased with Charlie Beach.
SunriseA perfect place to take photos. If you live near the pier like me, walk in from the elementary school, then follow the path to Pawapi Beach in front, and then walk along the beach to Pearl Beach.
Nice beach for taking photos and watching animals but NOT for swimming. There are lots of stingrays! Locals told us that 22 people had already been stung in a short period of time.
A lot of sand flies along the beach especially when it is around dawn time.be careful or else the itchiness could spoil your holiday
We were advised by our hotel host that The north south side of this beach is not safe for swimming in May due to stingrays. However there are sea cows to watch eating seaweed near the pier in the morning 8-10am which is fascinating to watch. The swim on the south side is quiet, soft waves and sandy but only at high tide, around 8am -1 pm. Sadly however, although the water was milky (not completely clear) and foamy, lots of rubbish floating in the sea. It did not look or feel clean although it was blue. We felt sad as it seems that the sudden popularity of the island since nearby Koh Kradan was voted no 1 beach destination in the world, has made koh Mook seas on this side of the island near the piers dirty, with thousands of tourists transiting through on boats, creating pollution in the seas that the island cannot handle.
Beautiful beach, white soft sand, and super clear water, in the morning and evening there is strong outflow but still possible to swim, water goes up around 11 am.
So beautiful beach just cannot swim because of strong under water current. Lots of sand flies so keep repellent with you
The best beach on the island. The water is clean and the sand is white. Unfortunately, there are often low tides. But the beach is beautiful anyway.
Great beach, but low tide from 3pm makes the beach not swimable. Tide comes back in around 9am tho
Must admit - some pictures of Sivalai beach let me decide to visit the island - but when you only see that Fotos - you can’t see the noise from the longtail or smell them - and some dirt on the surface of the water as well.it’s not always that romantic- as you might think - the Beach around is ok.but the white magic spot of the beach which looks that great can only be seen when the water has left (some ours) - and! It’s not that quiet- there is some traffic on the water! - and you see not much under water.it’s ok but I would definitely not spent much money only for that beach. I think the“ Bungalows“ at Sivalai really look good and better than most of some other accommodations. (you could sleep there - and spent a part of the day at Charlie beach.)
