Koyao Seafood / โกยาววิวพอย์ reviews
28We actually wanted to go eat there until we shockingly discovered that a puppy was locked up in front of their toilets and tied alone to a 20cm short leash and the harness was tied so tightly around the little body that it could hardly move. Would have loved to take the little guy with us. Absolute animal cruelty! A reason for us not to eat there.
This place has an amazing view of the beach and is perfect for a sunset dinner. The owner, however, decided to pretend not to have 200 THB change for a 1000 note and even though we could see that she had the correct change in her purse, gave us less change than we were owed. We decided not to create a fuss because we asked her to call a taxi bike back to the town which she did for us. Just a heads up that this might happen here.
Food was good and the beer was cold so I would have tipped if the owner hadn’t decided to take the tip by other means
In a beautiful setting, come and enjoy a drink. Very nice and beautiful place. Restaurant overlooking the sea with stunning views. Pleasant service and incredibly good food.
Simple restaurant in a highly recommended location. If you want to have a peaceful view of the sea and the jungle while eating, this is the place for you. Thai cuisine at a very good price.
The food is nice but the views are sublime!
Koh Mook is a lovely, chilled island offering space and time to contemplate and reflect. It’s the ultimate ‘do nothing’ island whic forces you to relax (and sometimes this is much needed).
This is a cute restaurant located on the left hand side of Charlie beach, along the cliff edge, offering unique views across the beach and beyond into the Andaman Sea.
I ordered stir fry squid, which was ok.
There’s a cute little beach pup that hangs around nearby (if you see her, give her tummy rubs from me please?)
I would return to this restaurant. And the island is small enough that it wouldn’t take long before you get to try eating at many of the other locations, dotted around this tiny, chilled out corner of Thailand.
Authentic Thai food that was delicious and affordable. The restaurant is located on the shoulder of a small mountain on Charlie beach. There are five bungalows next to it.
Extensive menu. Fruit shake was not very good as it did not hsve enough ice in it.
Yellow curry was spicy even it was medium. Seafood tempura was nice. Stir fried mixed veggies and prawns were excellent.
We really enjoyed both meals here. Good portions and all very tasty. The view over Charlie Beach is incredible. They also feed a wonderful little puppy and have lovely cats too. Highly recommend.
Very friendly people. Amazing food and drinks. Its looks like its close from outside but its open.
Lovely people they also very happy if you leave tip.
My fruitshake was the 50 bsth worth it and the food that i forgot to take a picture was also amazing. I definitely come back and recommend this place.
10/10
Best view of the beach.
The staff was so helpful and friendly.
The food is nice too.
Very nice place and fresh squid and fish
Good smoothies
I noticed old reviews mentioning bad service but that was 2 years ago. It seems that staff was changed.
The prices are extremely fair. It's hard to imagine considering we're on an isolated beach on a small island and it's 3x cheaper than islands close to BKK or Phuket.
If you want a classy place with paved roads and promenades with wine selection maybe you need to go on another island with 10x prices for resorts. This is a place for quiet and relaxing cheap fun
A small family run restaurant with 1 cook (the mum) and 1 waiter (the kids). We ate here every day during our stay at Koh Muk and enjoyed watching the beautiful sunset over the beach. I don't understand why there are some bad reviews of this place because I couldn't fault it. The lady is very nice and sweet, she gave us massive portions and always recommended us what to eat based on what produce she had.
Of course tourism is still very low here so naturally she didn't have everything on the menu but that didn't matter. Highly recommend the Kra Pow Talay with Rice and a fried egg (Seafood kra pow). She recommended it as she had a lot of fresh squid and I was obsessed! Prices are fair baring in mind all the ingredients have to travel on a boat to get here (100B for a meal)
Smile, enjoy the view and be patient! Don't expect a 5* restaurant experience, just home cooked food! (And don't order western food, of course you're going to be disappointed)
Tip: there is a bar downstairs and if you prefer a casual dining experience you can order food and they will being it downstairs for you to enjoy with your cocktail by the beach.
Great family run restaurant in the best location on Koh Mook.
Fantastic food at a great price with good service.
Go there to see a stunning sunset whilst enjoying an excellent cocktail
Really nice service and food. We’re there during covid and not much people but the food was the best tasted after around 12 days elsewhere in Thailand. Highly recommended.
Ordered fried fish in ginger and oyster sauce.
The view is amazing. There is the best place to see the sunset on the island. Food is also good and the price is average
Dort stimmt wirklich alles!
Food okay and cheap. Large portions. Staff not friendly (not really unfriendly either but we definitely didn't feel welcome).
The food is not bad but its not great either. It is food. It fills you. Beer is cold. The prices are reasonable.
Staff is not exactly unfriendly as long as you don't act as a tourist who thinks he owns the world. If you are polite, they will always be polite to you! As soon as you start acting up for the littlest reason, (e.g. "Why did it take so long? "), you can pretty much pack up and leave.
But that goes for everywhere in Thailand.
Chill. Enjoy the peace and quiet.
This place also offers boat trips and snorkeling gear.
The view is stunning. Nothing else is.maybe the beer.
There is so many things to fix here, but maybe this place is about to go same direction as Charlie beach resorts. Dunno where the park is. So enjoy the sunsets while possible from above.
This place is the worst I have been to in Thailand: the staff was unfriendly, made me overpay my side dish and when I asked why, the woman just aggressively ignored me. Plus, the food was nothing special. But the thing is, the view is incredible so I guess they don't care if customers are treated well. A nice alternative is Mong Bar, just down on the beach, the atmosphere is great and the people very nice.
Best place to eat on Koh Muk. Trust me! Tried other options and came back to Koyao time and time again. The view is amazing, and the beach is perfect.
