Koh Mook Villa Cashew Nut

We had a wonderful three night stay here! Yai and his family were great hosts, offering to bring us around the island to see the best sites. The bungalow and shared bathroom were clean and comfortable. Nicely located on the edge of town and next to the Team Restaurant which has delicious cheap food! We wish we could have stayed longer.

P. S. If you don’t want a stray dog to steal one of your shoes in the night you might want to put them inside.

EDIT: Our lost shoe reappeared and Yai was so kind in that he offered to ship it to Chiang Rai for us. Thank you, Yai!

The sweetest family (and cute kids!) and tent was really big.yai, the owner, is so helpful, and we even went kayaking together! Must-stay when on koh mook:)

Nicest place in koh mook for the price! Great location close to main areas. The host was so generous and picked us up form pier and took us everywhere we wanted to go!
He give me so many tips on where to visit on the island- he came to watch the sunset with us at Charlie beach!
The accommodation is very suitable for a backpacker - outside toilets and some bugs get in room.

Such a perfect place to stay on Koh Mook. The tent was perfectly comfortable with several power sockets, a light and even a fan (though the temperature was never too hot at night). The bathroom was clean and the owner has worked hard to create his own water source so there is clean running water. The family that run Cashew were incredibly friendly, welcoming and the children super cute. Yai was extremely helpful with anything and everything, providing free transport to Charlie Beach, booking our onward travel at a good price and even helping us out when stung by a jellyfish! Koh Mook is a wonderful place and Cashew Nut is the ideal place to enjoy it!

Yai was the best host I ever had on any holiday very kind and friendly extremely helpful, picks you up from the pier and dropped us off even took us for a site seeing the tent was so much fun! Just one tip for visitors is to take some mosquito ointment.
The bathroom is clean the experience was unforgettable.

Best Place, with the friendliest and most caring Host "Yai"! The Bungalows and toilets are very clean and well supplied with shampoo, soap, etc. The place is in a central shady spot under the cashewnut trees. Yai is one of the friendliest guys we met on our 6 month journey so far, he takes care of all his guests very well, you will like him for sure and your stay at this place ;)
Koh Mook is also such a beautiful island with many activities and things to see!

Inside the tent it was clean. All around it was dirty: the owner did not take time to clean the garden, full of garbage. The toilets and bathrooms were disgusting - obviously it is shared with lots of people in the village and it is not cleaned often enough. Lots of mosquito all day long. Last thing: it is written online that there is free wifi: there is not: allthough we reclaimed it to the owner, he insisted that he topped up his 3g connexion with datas, but result was the same: no internet

Good place, the owner took care of us very well. Nice accommodations with high cleanliness and good showers and bathroom. The owner goes around with you to meet his friends at the chalee beach for sunset very cozy. I enjoyd it very well!

A great budget stay on ko mook. We spent 2 nights in the tent. The tent was really big and comfortable with two soft matrasses, a fan, 2 lamps and a power socket. Located in the shadow of some big trees. The host was the best. He provided us with all information we needed, advised us with who to get to Emerald Cave, picked coconuts from a tree in the garden for us to drink, and took us for an evening hike through the jungle to admire the view from one of the mountains. He also books ferry tickets and gives you a ride to and from the pier. All of that is included in the price of your stay! We enjoyed it so much:) thank You.

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Cashew Nut. The owner Yai truly went above and beyond to make sure we got the most out of our trip by showing us the best spots on the island and bringing us to Charlie Beach for the epic sunsets. The property has two bungalows and shared bathrooms and is located right near the little town centre with a couple of shops and some decent restaurants very close by (1-2min walk). Koh Mook has been our favourite location during our 2mths travelling across SE Asia, made extra great by the hospitality at Cashew Nut.
