Belle, was excellent with her hospitality and expert on tourism exposure, great team leader. I am very impressed. Enjoyed my stay.

On the cliffs of Phala Beach is a wonderful setting. Peaceful and serene. This restaurant offers a good selection of thai food as well as falang food. The food was delicious, and the service was superb. Only stayed for dinner last night, but the lunch was awesome a few weeks ago when we first visited.

I recently stayed at this hotel and I must say that the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, with excellent English language skills. Their warmth and attentiveness were definitely a highlight of my stay.

However, the hotel's location left much to be desired. Situated between the airport and an industrial area, there isn't much for tourists to do in the vicinity. This can be a downside if you're looking for a more vibrant neighborhood.

There are two types of rooms available: those with a sea view and those with a mountain view. The sea-view rooms were a pleasant experience, offering beautiful vistas. Unfortunately, the mountain-view rooms were a different story. They are located right next to the main road, making them incredibly noisy. Despite this drawback, the rooms themselves were nicely furnished, although a bit too thin-walled, making them quite sound-sensitive.

The hotel does have a pool and bar area, which could have been a great place to relax. However, the constant construction noise during my stay was quite disruptive. It would have been better if the hotel had either closed for renovations or informed guests in advance.

One aspect that left me disappointed was the hotel's restaurant. The prices were on the higher side, and considering the excellent dining options just down the street for a fraction of the cost, I chose not to dine in-house.

In conclusion, Lord Nelson has its ups and downs. The staff's friendliness and good English skills were a definite plus, but the location, noise levels in certain rooms, and ongoing construction were significant drawbacks. Additionally, I would recommend exploring dining options outside of the hotel for more budget-friendly choices.

Stayed here a couple of nights whilst visiting a friend in the area. Clean hotel and great staff.

อ่อนข้อกับพวกต่างชาติไปหน่อย ดึกๆโดดน้ำสระกันทั้งชุดที่ไปนั่งกินเหล้ากันมาพนักงานก็ไม่กล้าห้าม แถมเสียงดังเมาเปิดปิดประตูทั้งคืนกว่ายามจะขึ้นมาห้องก็ไม่เก็บเสียง แนะนำเปลี่ยนแค่ประตูที่มีเนื้อทึบแน่นๆก็กันเสียงได้แล้ว ห้องก็พอได้ถ้าพักซีวิว วิวดีแต่ที่จอดรถน้อย

Had the mountain view room. The bed was quite small, and had one blanket too small for two people. Also no bedstand. Out room was clean, but a friend had used toilet paper laying on his bathroom floor.

Fantastic family run hotel. My favourite hotel in the area. Rooms overlooking the sea. Highly recommended great staff and food.

I don't stay overnight but always visit the restaurant and bar. Excellent place and great food.

Went there for 3d2n during a weekend for scuba diving and stayed in Family room 2bedroom 2 bathroom 1 kitchen.
The bedroom is a compact size and the bathroom cannot separate wet and dry area. There is a little lizard in the bathroom.
Remote control is not work. Only a bin in the bathroom, not have a bin in a bedroom. No full body mirror.

The wall cannot protect the next room’s sounds, by the way, luckily I can fall asleep because of tiredness.

The staff: one is good and polite but another one is not.

One time is enough.

Have been coming here for a number of years. Mostly lunch time. Came here with my partner 9th Sept 2022. So disappointed yes the food wasn't great believe me. I could have lived with that as we chose non-Thai food but the the uncompromising stance of the staff when it was pointed out that there idea of a large glass of red wine would not have accorded with my idea of a small one never mind large!
All it would have taken was a very small compromise on the part of the staff to give us splash more in the glass and they would have won me over.
Safe to say we won't be doing food in the evenings at the Nelson in a hurry.

Lovely and quite while we were here mid week. Staff and manager very good. Food was very good and plenty on the plate so of good value for money. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast. Our room on 5th floor over looking to pool and beach was nice and tidy with soft topper pad on the bed. A/C works good. Shower head was bad and needs improving also staff had to find a chair so that I could sit at the room desk and use my computer.
Over all good value for what you pay, excellent place to stay you can relax on the beach swimming best at full tide. They do have a small pool for cooling off in with seats at one end. There is also a pool table if that is your game. Internet was good. We enjoyed our stay and will come back next time we are down in Rayong. Photos do not tell the great feeling here at the hotel.
