You can see the sea from your room
However, the door in the room I stayed in could not be closed completely, and small ants came into the room.
It's also close to the port, so you can hear the sounds of ships coming and going during the day.

Houses near the ferry crossing near the shore, the view from the outer houses is beautiful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable)

Simple and cheap hotel.
Plus points the rooms/bungalows are right on the waterfront. The view to the right of the pier spoils the impression a bit, but one point is deducted. As soon as there is a little wind, the mosquitoes are no problem either.
Plenty of water, shower gel, shampoo and towels for free.

Just a short walk from Nadan Port, the gateway to Koh Samet.
This is a bungalow accommodation.
You can see the ocean from the bed in your room, and it is equipped with AC and a refrigerator.
The rooms are clean and there is a hammock on the balcony where you can relax.
There is a 7-Eleven nearby and Sai Kaew Beach is within walking distance.
It is quite recommended.

Rooms are clean and everything is fine inside.

The only downside is the surrounding. Not swept and no garden is kept.

Unless you got a reliable data plan, don't expect much from the wifi on-site.always dropping. Staff were helpful when present.

I would have given this place a 5-star review if the staff was willing to pay attention to all customers equally. The view is great. The room is new. We arrived at 4pm and we were told to wait another hour for the room to be cleaned and the "reception" was not in a good mood. The room next to ours must be a VIP customer since he was treated differently.

Brilliant location right at the sea near the port. You can't hear much of the ongoing ferries passing by and in the evening it is peaceful to unwind here. Rooms are really small so be aware of that.

We stayed 6 nights at the hotel. The place is correct, pleasant and with beautiful views of the sea, you can even have a bbq in the place, the room is small, the bed is noisy, small and uncomfortable and the bathroom is large and fine. We got the room near the pier and from 6am the noise and the horns of the boats make it seem like you're sleeping in the middle of Bangkok.

Remarkable location and not as noisy as other reviews suggested although still not many tourists around. Very short walk to or from the ferry. Access on site is a little tricky with uneven steep steps. Bed not very supportive.

Great location. Comfortable beds, aircon, good shower. Nice touches such as clean towels, toiletries, toilet paper each day. Only downside was restaurant was closed so 2km walk for breakfast

Love this place for its:
- wonderful sea view from its room
- proximity to the main pier
- good restaurants and cafe options nearby
- budget price
The room is small but the bed is comfortable, the aircon is strong and the wifi speed is good. There is no sandy beach in front of the hotel and it is not advisable to swim among the rocks. But a nice sandy beach is 10 mins walk away by foot.

This hotel might look ugly on photo, but see it yourself, I guarantee you will going back here whenever you go to Koh Samet.

I recently stayed for 6 weeks. Beautiful views of the sea and Ban Phe. All the staff were lovely, extremely friendly and helpful. The manager Tim always checked every day that I was happy with the room etc and if any problems to let the staff know. I enjoyed some lovely vegetarian food which was included in their menu. I had the added luxury of it being very calm and quiet due to visitors not being allowed on the island, so no speed boats which can be a bit noisy when they are running. Overall I would highly recommend Sunrise villa's to anyone wishing to visit Koh Samet.

We stayed in no. 15.
PROS: Lovely little bungalow, with outdoor area literally 10ft from the sea. Light & airy with great sea views thru huge glass doors. Ridiculously comfortable large double bed. Well equipped, good free wifi, excellent air-con & large built in wardrobe (which also had an ample fridge tucked away inside it), lovely bathroom, outside is a seating area under a porch with a large hammock, table & chairs & outdoor lighting, the sea laps at the edge of the seating area when the tide is in, at low tide it's a few feet down some easily scaled rocks. Spotlessly clean. Lovely staff, superb little restaurant where you can sit inches from the sea, even dangle your feet in if you like. Food was fabulous, SO fresh, superb seafood, very reasonably priced. Well located for all amenities. We stayed for nearly a week in mid January 2020. I'M DESPERATE TO GO BACK AGAIN.
CONS: There is only 1 downside, & it isn't the fault of the hotel, it's that the pier where all the ferries, commercial supply boats etc come in is close by to the hotel & the boat captains are a bit heavy handed with the horn, which, being as they start about 5-6am is a bit noisy, but it didn't bother me that much - just my husband is a lighter slepper than I am, but he had noise-cancelling headphones anyway so he slept in them. Next time we'll ask for a bungalow as far from the pier as possible.
I absolutely loved it here, a little slice of paradise. We were also delighted to find out that the guy who runs the bar at the next beach past Sunrise Villas has an arrangement with the owners of the bars & restaurants on the main beach on the other side of the island (a few hundred yards away) & daily collects waste meat, seafood, fish etc & mices it up with vegetables & feeds the islands dog population. We saw him feeding them on the 1st day that we spent lounging about his beach bar & got talking, he's a really lovely guy, doing a wonderful thing, so obviously we had to frequent his beach bar as much as possible.

Cozy, clean bungalows with nice beds and well-functioning ac by the sea side. The owner Tim is always helpful, and the same goes for the people in the reception. Restaurant is also good, especially the burgers, and the english breakfast. You get your money's worth here, fellas!
