Choose any other property to stay at in Ranong. Seriously. This place has million dollar views, and that's about it. Come and visit at sunset, take your photos, then head back into town where better options await. The room we stayed in is part of a building that doesn't appear to have had any upkeep done to it in 40 years. The entire property is a decrepit shambles of disused buildings and long-forgotten amenities left in utter disrepair. The pool shown in the photos appears idyllic, whereas in real life the staff admit to it not being kept in proper condition, and warned me against using it as the filters weren't operable. Moreover, the pool area appeared totally abandoned with shallow sections having completely silted up with dirt and the water in the deeper areas dark and brimming with god knows what. The rooms are sparse to say the least. Don't expect furniture beyond a bed. There was some handy exposed hand-made meaning an electrocution is just waiting to happen. The hot water heater above the shower in the mouldy bath appears to be decorative only. Arriving for breakfast we weren't spoken to by any staff member, seated ourselves, and then 10 minutes later were silently handed two plates, each containing two eggs and two sausages. Coffee was of the instant variety, from a jar riddled with ants, in a paper cup; tea was non-existent. I had to hunt around in the kitchen to find a staff member willing to check us out who had no idea who we were or whether we had paid. I genuinely cannot believe this place is in business.

Although the place is in need of some tlc, everything else was great! Friendly, helpful staff and relaxing atmosphere!

โรงแรมอายุ40ปี เก่าแต่ห้องสะอาดดี คนพักน้อยวันนี้15.00เข้าพัก5ห้องจาก40ห้อง คาดว่าพักวันละ15ห้อง พื้นที่เยอะมาก ยึดหาดยาวเลยราวๆ200ไร่ ห่างไกลขุมชนเป็นส่วนตัวสูง มีรภป. ตรงทางออก ไม่มีลิฟท์ต้องเดินขึ้นเอา แอร์เย็น ลมทะเลเย็นสดชื่น แถวนี้ไม่มีร้านอาหาร ถ้าไม่มีรถส่วนตัวมาทางรีสอร์ทมีครัวสั่งกินได้ทั้ง3มื้อ ก่อนเข้าพักควรซื้ออาหารตุนเข้ามาเลยจะดีกว่า แต่ถ้ามีรถส่วนตัวก็ขับออกไปได้เลยไม่มีปัญหา

I will not lie and say I stayed here, but if it was a straw hut, I would give it 4 stars. Just for the view across the ocean. I have never seen such a magnificent sunset. Ever!

Was kicked out for walking on the pier. All of a sudden not hungry to eat at their restaurant. Ranong has a wierd vibe.

We stayed over here for one night, the day after the new year.
The location is extremely beautiful and the property is also very nice. It is located on the side of a hill and overlooks the sea and can see Myanmar across the water.
It is run down though and needs a lot of repair or updating.
The service staff are very nice and friendly.
Loved the food at the restaurant, very tasty. The breakfast was very basic, not bad.
The pool was large and very clean.
Overall, needs a bit of updating and reorganization, I think.

Stayed at the Jansom for New Year's Eve. Our stay was a mixed bag, the setting of the resort is undeniably beautiful, being set in its own grounds with a long drive up through the gardens. It is set on a wide and beautiful estuary looking across to the Myanmar border, with a small island shrine in the middle. They have a large swimming pool, with very few chairs placed around. We stayed in a garden bungalow as they were quite busy for New Year's. The room itself was a great disappointment as it smelled musty with one wall with crumbling paintwork from damp Also the outside of the building looked dinghy, with the whole bungalow looking as if it could do with a good repaint and a bit of tlc. The bed however was comfortable and the air conditioning worked quite well. There was a balcony outside with 2 chairs provided, but one was broken and the other would not unfold. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was good, but we cancelled the dish of mixed vegetables as we had finished eating and it still hadn't turned up after we finished eating, though to be fair, they were very busy with a full restaurant and we chatted with a table from Bangkok who come here every year. We noticed that there was another hotel building where they were staying, so they may have had a better experience staying there. Breakfast was very basic, with fried eggs, sausage, toast and rice soup (Khao Tom). There is plenty of parking on site and 2 or 3 friendly dogs who were no bother at all. Lovely sunset in the evening.

ไมแน่ใจว่าเพราะสถานการณ์โควิดหรือไม่ คือห้องมากโทรมมาก พนักงานไม่ทำความสะอาดห้องให้เลย เข้าใจว่าคงมาทำทีเดียวหลังเช็คเอาท์ แต่มีร่องรอยเข้ามาในห้องพัก เติมน้ำดื่มให้ แต่ไม่เปลี่ยนผ้าเช็ดเท้าที่เปียกปอนมากๆเนื่องผ้าม่านที่ขาดวิ่นผุพัง แค่จับเพื่อขยับก็ยุ่ยมาตามมือ (ไม่ทราบราคามันเท่าไหร่ ทำไมไม่ซื้อมาเปลี่ยน) คือทรมานกับการเจ้าใช้ห้องน้ำและอาบน้ำ สุดๆ อยากรีบเช็คเอาท์ สัญญาณ wifi ในห้องพักไม่มี ต้องการใช้เน็ตต้องออกมาห้องประชุม เนื่องจากสัญญานโทรศัพท์ถูกแย่งสัญญานเพราะอยู่ริมฝั่งชายแดนไทย -พม่า
แนะนำให้ปรับปรุงเรื่อง ห้องน้ำ และ wifi ด่วนค่ะ

ไปกี่ครั้ง ก็เหมือนเดิม เงียบ สงบ
อากาศดีมากๆ โดยเฉพาะช่วงเช้า ไปออกกำลังกาย สูดไอทะเล นวดเท้าขายหาด
ไกล้ตัว เมืองนิดเดียว. หลงรักเลย
