Baan Klong Kleng Resort / Barefoot Project

Incredible little resort in a great location - right next to a gorgeously serene beach. The staff and owners are super welcoming and friendly along with their cute little Suzie (dog).

The highlight for me though was their food. Everything was fresh and very well made. They make excellent use of the local ingredients to create a fusion of western and Thai dishes. One dish that was particularly memorable was their northern Thai inspired spaghetti bolognese.

P'Toi (one of the owners) even makes her own sausages in house! And I can confidently say they are some of the best sausages I've had in Thailand.

Can't recommend this wonderful resort highly enough!

A beautiful resort, hands down the best sunset (and coffee) on the island. Toy and Sam were the most warm and welcoming hosts, making it feel like a home away from home. My room was clean, cool and had everything I needed.
The food was amazing with good vegan and vegetarian options which is a rare find. The beach is lovely with super chill vibes, can't wait to return

Had such a lovely relaxing stay. Location ideal with room overlooking the beach/sea. Service was very good with a wide choice of meals all cooked fresh. We started the day with a lovely breakfast (choose the fresh orange and sourdough). Did eat in other locations but in general tended to eat in resort. We found this island and resort so chilled it was the highlight of our Thailand trip (Bangkok, Koh Phayam and Ko Tao), and certainly plan to return

Baan Klong Kleng is truly a gem on the most beautiful and calm beach of the Island.
We stayed in a wonderfully Bungalow which had the most comfortable bed and beautiful views into the jungle and on the Ocean shore. It's fully equipped with everything you need and was cleaned everyday very well.
Patron Fabien and his team run this place very professional and with lots of good Vibes. We felt always very welcome and everyone was very helpful.
The restaurant offers a beautiful view to the sea while you can enjoy delicious traditional Thai cuisine as well as freshly housemade Croissants and Baguettes (!)
Also notable is the little selection of very good wines and spirits.
The Baan Klong Kleng is also very family friendly (which does not mean that without kids you have to deal with any loud playing kids or so. The beach is so big that you hardly deal with other people)

To sum up my review. Baan Klong Kleng is a Highlight and absolutely a recommendation.

Beau ressort, bien entretenu, très propre, très bien situé sur une très belle plage. Accueil chaleureux, staff au petits soins avec les clients Le manager parle français. Tres bonne cuisine et breakfasts fabuleux. A recommander +.

Loved this place. Excellent food, fab chef, friendly thoughtful owner, Fresh produce always used. Service was phenomenal. They remembered how I like my coffee and the time I usually liked to have it! The location was on the beach and totally dreamy! Loved Everything about it.

We only had food there. It is very delicious. Especially the coffee! Prices are pretty high though

Good fusion food, but you can ask for spicy ones. The restaurant managed by the Frenchman will give you good coffee and croissants. Very nice service.

Best coffee on the island. The restaurant is located directly above the beautiful buffalo bay, everything is clean and good-tasting. Thank you very much

Nice and relaxed resort at the Buffalo Bay under french ownership. Home-made Croissants and Baguette!
I had home-made sausages with onions braised in white wine. Definitely worth a try.

It's clean I must say, and inside the bungalow is just amazing. I love the all wooden furniture and the design. Clean and good-sized shower, room and balcony. But! There's no fridge.
Make sure to try their food. The chef lady is simply the best!

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. The food was outstanding, the huts are very clean and comfortable and the location is right next to a wonderful beach. Lalita is a great host and makes the best coffee on the island.

Great restaurant! Tasty Thai dishes! We loved everything we tried and enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the bay! A bit more pricey, but definitely worth the visit!
