Palada by Sukkasem

Well-kept establishment, spacious rooms, very good location, bottles of water systematically every day which is rare!
Possibility of scooter rental. Restaurant not tested but apparently appreciated by tourists, even non-residents.

Decent food, baked garlic bread was too good, we ordered a yellow curry non vegetarian dish with rice and papaya salad.

We didn't spend the night in the hotel but just ate at the restaurant, it was really good! One of the best where we have been able to eat very welcoming staff also

No complaints! Basic but clean and tidy. People working here were lovely and good laundry service. Very reasonably priced.

The rooms are spotless and appear to be very recently remodeled with nice shiny new tile. My room had a mini fridge, an electric kettle, good modern aircon, a TV with a nice broad variety of movies and other recent releases also a balcony to enjoy sunrise and watching the interesting street activity below. The beach, street markets, stores, and restaurants offering Italian, French, Argentine, Indian and of course Thai food is all in walking distance. The little restaurant and bar on site is also quite good and reasonably priced too. I very much enjoyed the way the Palada is run, with the owner (s) and staff being warm and friendly. Not many places make it on my repeat list, but the next time I want to stay in Hua-hin (I live in a nearby area), this is where I plan to stay.

Very nice, quiet, and convenient location. Yummy breakfast with delicious bread and homemade jam. Also eggs and fruit and juice. Stayed an extra night!

Clean, calm and with nice owners. Good value for a reasonable amount if money. Hotel also organises transport from Bangkok on request.

Worst owner I have ever seen in my whole life. 50 years old French guy with absolutely no sense of hospitality.
Explanation of my disappointment:
Had an argument about the so called " buffet breakfast ". At 10.20 am everything was finished already, when it is supposed to finish at 11 am. I only had 4 small chicken sausage and a hard boiled egg and a small piece of mango. I was more hungry after than before but it was apparently my fault because all the other costumer came between 8 and 10.
He didn't come to ask me if I was ok or needed anything else. And when I took a bottle in the fridge at the buffet because the others were done he came within 2 sec and blamed me (he wasn't here to offer any services or help but he was behind his screen spying on me with his cameras).
Finally when checking out I told him that his behaviour wasn't appropriated for a hotel owner. This conversation ended without any apology from him and with a magnificent " go away before I get mad " and his wife advising me to " just stay at Hilton next time". Very classy

Nice location and room ok tho. A bit pricey compared to other places

Fantastic little guesthouse. Very clean room with great air con nice breakfast and good WiFi. Location is brilliant, close to beach and night life a 5 minute walk away. The staff and host of the guesthouse all really friendly and helpful. I must say amazing value and would definitely use again if in Hua Hin.
