Kwan Phayao Lakehouse

Lovely old wooden house. Some rooms in modern extension, but the best ones are in the original wooden building. Not luxurious, but original. Gaps in the floorboards and walls and all a bit creaky.

Beds clean and very comfortable shower and toilet OK. Just enough modern for comfort. Excellent value for Phayao.

I've stayed 3 times and never seen a swimming pool.

Very nice little homestay. Unique local wooden style rooms with very vintage coffee shop below. Very nice gentleman run the shop. A jewel in Phayao.

Phayao is my favorite town in Thailand. Beautiful palm lined lake surrounded by mountains and very few tourists. This hotel is on the lake, friendly staff, clean rooms. Walk down the lakeside and grab a grilled fish with some sticky rice and a beer and enjoy a picnic on the grass at lakeside.

It was far away from fantastic. The old bed was extremely noicy. Breakfast very poor. First you have to look for somebody to prepare it, and he disapeared after 5 minutes. Then comes cold old sausage and egg plus 2 dry old pieces of White bread. The place was not clean. It was a fantasticly bad place. I would never go there again.

ที่พักพื้นสะอาด พนักงานโอเคค่ะ แต่บนฝ้าเพดานเลอะมากเชียวค่ะ นอกจากนี้ยังมีของแอบเก็บบนพื้นข้างๆ อีกด้วย ถ้าไม่ได้ concern เรื่องความสกปรกของฝ้าเพดานก็โอเคเลยค่ะ ผ้าเช็ดตัวมีให้นะคะแต่ก็จะแข็งนิดนึง มีน้ำดื่มให้ และมีอาหารเช้าซึ่งเป็นขนมปังและกาแฟ และไข่ค่ะ

Close to Kwan Payao Lake. The room is quite old but still clean. There 's a small parking lot in the back.

เกสต์เฮาส์ราคาโอเค ทำเลเยี่ยม เจ้าของน่ารัก แต่ห้องที่พักมีเสียงดังจากปั๊มน้ำ และน้ำไม่ไหล ช่วงหนึ่งติดกัน 2 วัน ไม่มีการแก้ไขหรือแจ้งอะไร แขกต้องรอให้น้ำกลับมาไหลอีกครั้ง

Nice place quiet garden space but like posted previously.hard Thai beds! I wonder if the owners read the comments?

Good located. Ended up paying 600 instead of 500 baht due to only larger rooms being available. Free breakfast of toast, hot dog and egg (w coffee) for each person. Friendly owners. One speakers basic English. Lake and night market are walking distance. Hot showers, AC, comfortable beds. Rooms could be cleaned a little more and old cabinets should just be thrown out but beds and bathroom were clean and from what I’ve experienced in Thailand it could be worse.

ตอนนั่งเรืออยู่กลางกว๊านบรรยากาศดีมาก มองเห็นท้องฟ้าได้กว้างไกลไม่มีอะไรมาบดบังทัศนียภาพ เสียงไม้พายกระทบน้ำและสายลมอ่อนๆที่พัดมาทำให้รู้สึกสงบ ผ่อนคลาย เสื้อชูชีพที่ให้ใส่ขึ้นเรือสภาพเก่าและเหม็นอับไปหน่อยแต่ก็มีหลายขนาดให้เลือกใส่

We rolled in to town in the evening and found our hosts to be very welcoming. The sign saying Bed and Coffee and the beautiful lobby drew us in. The room was great and the next morning we stayed for three cups of delicious coffee!

Well priced, clean, awesome staff and good coffee. Round the corner from good places to eat and drink.

The place is loved ok, but the room was tiny, the water pressure poor and the included breakfast of one egg and one tiny processed sausage simply not good enough for a farang. It's location however is good should you want to be near the lake. The staff are friendly and helpful.
