Villa Apsara

The hotel is located in a middle of nowhere - no groceries store to buy water nearby. You have to take a taxi (tuk tuk - 350bht/one way 2 pers) or hotel shuttle bus (100bht per pers/way) to take you to grocery store to just buy a drinking water or buy extremely overpriced at hotel restaurants. Silly to have a few cloting stores next to reception instead of a groacery store for water, soft drinks and some snacks.
Our room was located on the ground floor, backyard probably, K-184. Uppon check in it was ok, smelling good and having a scented candle in the bathroom. Only a mould in the fridge was notable. It was rainy all week and as more days went as more it smelled mould in the room. No candle lighted during our stay. Every time, after housekeeping was in the room and probably doors were open - a lot of mosquitos and disqusting flyes (Psychodidae) come in the room.nothing was drying in the room/ balcony even though the AC was running almost all the time.
Nice pool, but the massage function in the main pool was not working.
Memories beach bar was close, but you need to cross a disgusting river or go around through the Vila area to reach it.
Weird that guests from the regular rooms can not go to the villa restaurants/pools, but the villa area guests could come to the regular room area.
And even though the reservation of sunbeds was not allowed, noone actualy cared if there was only towels laying on the sunbeds or someone actualy used them.
Hotel SPA was extremely expensive compared to local massage places. If I remember right it was starting from 1600 Bht for a thai massage while you could get an equilant for 300- 500 Bht nearby.
Could hear a lot of noise and voices from the neighbours room, so the sound issolation is very poor.
I assume i saw a lot of lizzards and bugs at the evening and even rats during several times of the day (early breakfast, evening and even afternoon after sunbathing.) I assume a hotel shoud have some kind of a protection against such a vermin, but not here.

Only one drawer next to the bed, lack of shelves in the room and the bathroom - no convenient storage of belongings/clothes in the room. A lot of holes in the cupboard under the Tv, that some belongings could be lost.
No soap/ scampoo in the shower. Only soap/schampoo bottles next to the sink that were made in glas/ceramics that could be easily breakable.
Used slippers / beach bag in the warderobe, hopefully the bathrobes were washed.
Deposite box was not screwewed in its place -it was moving around and the individual code were not working properly- everytime it was a struggle to open/ close it.
Wi -fi weak and loosing connection fast, my 5G was working better the the Wi-fi.
Staff were polite, but not going to this hotel ever again.

Luxurious and bit expensive resort in Khao Lak region, but worth your money.
It is big, but not crowdy. Three restaurants and pools and a large beach helps dividing the people.
Staff is friendly. Buffet restaurant changes menu daily. Don't miss the extra's, dj at the Karkinos bar, Thai dancing at the Kinnaree restaurant or the fire sjow on the beach.
Would fully recommend this place.

A beautiful facility in and of itself. The rooms at the back could use some renovation. Staff very hardworking and friendly.

Beach fantastic and clean. The facility is also very nice, although the rooms are a bit old. Should now be renovated. Unfortunately, breakfast was nothing at all, the same every day and really the same. We mostly went outside for breakfast.

A great hotel with everything we need for a good vacation, the staff is very friendly and attentive, always with a smile.

The Italian restaurant on the beach has very good food but a little harsh with the music that they play very intense and loud chuba chumba sound, they do not take into account that we are mostly people over 50 and we need to listen to relaxing music, natural sounds of the sea
Just to say that the room was made quite late, never before half past four, I think it was because we spent quite a few days there, the cleaning of the toilet was not special, just above
I repeat that I would still come back again due to the location of the views and the friendliness of the staff.

We are currently at this beautiful resort. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We have a gorgeous pool villa and first class service. The food was simply fantastic and very stylishly presented and served in the Napalai restaurant. Thanks to Yuda and his team and everyone else who makes this time here so wonderful for us. This resort was amazing! My boyfriend and I stayed here on vacation, and we had the most amazing time! We stayed for about 7 days. The resort was so nice and clean! The views were beautiful and the food was slamming! The hotel staff was so sweet and accommodating! Even though the resort was tucked away, it was still centrally located. There were lots of places to eat near by. One restaurant that you should visit is Madam Thai! The food was amazing! Our trip was amazing! If you have a change to visit, please go and stay at this resort!

We decided to stay at this hotel for the night and if like it, then extend the staying. We got a room with a bathroom without a wall or partition between the room and the bathroom. As a result, all smells and sounds from the toilet go directly into the room. At night, the light from the bathroom illuminates the whole room. On the day of our stop there was a mosquito treatment in the hotel territory. As a result, just clouds of mosquitoes gathered near our room. At night, the flood started from the a/c, which flooded the wardrobe. And because of the flood at night, the electricity began to turn off.
Breakfast was included and was good.

The good things are beautiful territory and nice beach with waves. We paid 3000 baht plus 1000 baht for extra bed.

I love this hotel. All staffs have a lot of service mind. I appreciate Kathin at breakfast restaurant she helped me a lot. The facilities are great. Recommend for leaving a time with couple or family without work in head.

We loved staying here. The vibe the food the people the location. We would walk to Memories Beach Cafe just next door and hang there as well. We visited in 2019 and can't wait to return.

There was no toothbrush in the room and when I called reception they said there was none. I asked for a cab to go to a convenience store to buy something, but was told to walk because they couldn't call one. The computer wifi does not connect at all. I really can't believe it.

The room was old and I could not sleep due to strange noises coming from the air conditioner.

I checked out immediately. Manager confronted me, no apology or explanation.

I am a hotel investor and have traveled to many hotels from 5 star to 3 star all over the world and this place really is garbage service and quality. 3000thb per night is crazy.

I wanted to surf at Memories Beach, why this low quality hotel in this location, a waste and a shame.

The lower level staff is pitiful. The upper management is incompetent. Look at his response to the low rating of this review. He is making excuses without acknowledging the facts, not an ounce of professionalism.

Still here as I write, lovely hotel, beach, location, staff, all great. Only issue is the bed, it’s so hard it’s impossible to sleep. I have taken to sleeping on the small two seater sofa instead of the kingsize bed. Small detail but easily the worst bed I have ever been in.

Day 4, progress. Sun lounger in the room is the solution

I have never felt so relaxed and happy with a hotel as much as the Apsara. The staff were absolutely brilliant i would especially like to thank Tee, On, Toon Tar, Ann, Oil and every member of the team at the hotel.
The food was excellent and the room was perfect for us.
Can't express how lovely our stay was and definitely recommend the place to anyone ️

Quiet location with good facilities and staff. Unlike many other listings, (especially post pandemic) this facility matches its online photos and is honest in its online presentation. Some may find beds a bit hard and food offerings restrictive (loud music) from beach bar restaurant not to our preferences.
