Tik Thai Restaurant

If you are in Khaolak you should definitely eat at Tik! There is always a nice relaxed atmosphere here. The food is very tasty, ideal portions and for no money.

We also took a Thai Cooking Class here and that was a really great experience. Tik explains everything very clearly and has tips where necessary. Here we learned to make Massaman Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice and Boiled Bananas in Coconut Milk.

10/10 would recommend!

Our favourite restaurant in Thailand! Tik and her family are lovely people and provide amazing Thai meals and drinks. Especially the massaman curry is one of the best dishes that we have had during our travels through Asia.

A bit out of the way but a great little restaurant. The owners are super friendly and the food was great at a totally fair price. My friend and I are both vegetarians and had more than enough options. We ate there 3 times in 4 days and would come again and again

There were 4 of us and we were completely satisfied. Starters (spring rolls, chicken satei and noodle soup) as well as all main courses were lovingly prepared and tasted very good. Our number 1 in and around Khao Lak at fair prices. Local is not far from the main road on the land side - maybe 3 minutes. We will be back definitely

Fantastic, small, local restaurant just off the main road. Great quality ingredients and truly authentic. Having lived/worked in Thailand for 6 years I have to say the vegetarian Masaman curry is one of the best I have eaten.
If you are vegetarian (we are not), this restaurant has a good selection of dishes to choose from.
We ordered Pad Krapao Moo, Tom Kha Ghai, stir fried morning glory and of course the vegetarian Masaman curry.
Highly recommended if you are staying or passing through the Khao Lak area. We much prefer to support local restaurants rather than eating in hotels.

Tik is truly the best place to eat after training hard at the Rawai muay thai gym. She is lovely and her cuisine is delicious and healthy!

Ich bin jetzt das 5. Mal in Thailand und komme immer für mindestens 3 Wochen und das hier gehört definitiv zu dem besten was mir bis jetzt serviert wurde? !
Das Ambiente mag für manche Menschen keine 5 Sterne verdient haben aber es Thailand typisch und ich liebe es!
Kommt hier her und testet es, ihr werdet nicht enttäuscht sein!

Tik and her family are friendly and always smiling very nice vibe ind this restaurant and quality of the food is good. Can highly recommend!

Very very delicious food, very friendly service, nice atmosphere, no typical tourist place and a cuddly cat makes it to a perfect place to relax and enjoy your food. They offer for breakfast, lunch and dinner many tasteful options. I've been there nearly every evening and all was great.

If you find yourself in these parts, where options for vegetarian/vegan are far and few, drop by Tik’s Restaurant. I’m staying in the area and was really happy to find a page in Tik’s menu devoted to Vegetarian and Healthy Thai meals. Just ask to veganise some of the dishes, but from what I gather, most are just tofu and veggie based. Ask for no fish, oyster or egg before ordering. The dish I had was simple, spiced perfectly and the tofu was prepared just the way I like, a little crispy and soft inside. Thanks Tik, you’re awesome!

Amazing vegan/ veggie food and lovely people, well worth the trip slightly away from the main area.

Fantastic vegan food. Wow can they cook!

We had red curry, fries rice and veggies in pineapple, pad Thai, and best of all - pepper-garlic tofu.

We liked the tofu so much we asked for a second plate.

I happened to see the kitchen and was very impressed with the cleanliness and order. This is an excellent chef serious about her craft.

It is outdoor dining in a covered area and is clean and comfortable.

Hope to go back again soon.

I've travelled a lot but this is hands down the best thai food in the country. Portions are great and incredibly yummy. Moreover, Tik and her family are super sweet. Always a pleasure to be back.
