Santhiya - Koh Yao Yai - Infinity Pool Bar And Restaurant

The worst experience ever. From check-in and during the stay until check out, the hotel keeps making mistakes. It’s STRONGLY NOT recommended for expecting a good vacation. There are many other resort options.

First of all, the service they were providing are not even close to professional or proactive, when we ask for service they are showing quite confused look.

1. I made an appointment for a morning yoga class in advance, but when I arrived at class, I found out that my name wasn’t on the list, and was fully booked. I got up at 06: 00 in the morning to get ready to join this yoga class, such waste time.

2. DONT try seaside massage. The massage master has no problem with her skills. But the bar next to massage area suddenly starts playing super loud electronic music. Is it reasonable to play such loud music during the massage? The resident who was also having massage next to me was making video calls loudly, but no one stopped her. It’s not relaxing at all!

3. The shuttle car inside the resort is staggering and uncomfortable, and the shuttle is dangerous and difficult to ride. Basically, you have to call the front desk to get a car wherever you go. This time staying in the room at hotel area No. 2, to the infinity pool is walkable! After leaving the pool, would like to ask the staff to call a shuttle to the service center for dinner. After I got back to the room to rest. The front desk (specially) called me and told me that the distance between the swimming pool and hotel2 is very close, please don't call a car if I walk. I replied to the person in charge of dispatching the car. Of course I know that this is a walking distance. I called the car from the swimming pool to the service center. Did you make a mistake? She just started apologizing to me. What the guest wants is not an apology, but the hotel called me at such a late hour to tell me about this matter? Not only very intrusive but also very rude, which is not the case in normal resort.

4. This is outrageous. When I checked out, I handed over my suitcase to the counter staff and told him to put my suitcase together and wait until boarding the boat. I was also reminded twice that I was taking the speedboat at 12: 00, Please pay attention to my luggage, because it will take an hour to go back and forth, and there must be no mistakes, and there will be a flight right behind.
Sure enough, I arrived at the phuket pier and was about to board the shuttle bus to the airport. I checked my luggage again, but they lost it. I asked the staff at the pier to confirm. The resort told me that my luggage was still on the island after I called the front desk. This trip was a very bad experience from the beginning to the end. I like the Muay Thai class very much. Thank you to the Muay Thai coach.

5. On the day I was about to check out, I began to feel unwell in the morning and had mild diarrhea. This situation became more and more serious until I arrived at the airport and returned to Bangkok. During the process, I only ate food provided by the resort I think I have eaten food that is not clean or fresh.

If you want to have a good vacation, Please choose another resort.

最糟糕的一次體驗，從入住到離開，飯店不斷地出錯，非常不推薦，若是想真的好好度假，有非常多其他的選擇。
先是在服務上，不專業也不主動，問個事情相當散漫。

1. 提早預約了瑜伽課程，結果到了現場，發現名單上沒有我的名字，名額已滿，我為了這個瑜伽課程早上06: 00就起來準備了。

2. 海邊按摩千萬不要嘗試，按摩的師傅沒有問題技術可以的，按摩到一半但突然一旁的酒吧開始放起超大聲的電子音樂，按摩的時候放那麼吵鬧的音樂合理嗎？ 一旁也在按摩的住客大聲的在打視訊電話也沒有人制止。

3. 飯店內的交通跌跛不舒服，接駁車危險又不好坐，去哪基本都要打電話到前台叫車。這次入住hotel2 距離無邊際泳池步行就可以到，從泳池離開請工作人員幫忙叫車到服務中心用餐，用完餐以後回到房間休息，此時已經晚上十點多，電話突然響起，前台負責派車的人員（特地）打給我並告訴我，泳池與hotel2的距離很近請我用走的不要叫車。
我回覆此負責派車的人員，我當然知道這是可以步行的距離，我是從泳池叫車到服務中心，妳是不是搞錯了？她才開始跟我道歉，住客要的不是道歉，而是飯店在那麼晚的時間為了一趟車的事情打來給我說這個事？不僅很打擾又很沒禮貌，正常的飯店是不會有這樣的狀況。

4. 這個就離譜了，退房時我將我的行李箱交給櫃台人員，告訴他麻煩把我的行李集中後等等上船，並告知提醒兩次我是坐12: 00那一班快艇，請他們務必要注意我的行李，因為一來一回就要耗費1個小時，千萬不能出差錯，後面還緊接著航班。
果然到了普吉碼頭，準備要上接駁車至機場，我再次確認我的行李，果然被他們搞丟了，我請碼頭這邊的人員確認，大家推拖說不清楚不知道，最後我打電話話到前台，飯店才告訴我，行李還在島上，這一趟旅程從頭到尾就是一個非常糟糕的體驗，泰拳課我很喜歡，謝謝泰拳的教練。

5. 就在要退房的那一天，上午我開始感覺身體不適，有輕微腹瀉，直到我到了機場以及回到曼谷後這樣的狀況越來越嚴重，過程中我只吃過由渡假村提供的食物，我想我是吃到不乾淨不新鮮的食物了。

如果想要好好度個假，還有很多其他飯店可以選擇。

Overall we were very disappointed with our stay at Santhiya.

From our initial arrival at checkin things didn’t seem right. We were told we had no booking even though we could clearly prove that with booking ID’s, Apps emails etc but it seems there was some kind of internal error where Santhiya booking staff had added our booking in a month later. That was all very confusing, we were told to come back at 3pm before we could get to our room.

Rooms at Santhiya are made out of timber, looks like a great fun unique concept, but after staying a few days we noticed the musty wet damp smell coming from our room, we both starting getting quite ill and we also noticed our neighbours coughing and sneezing too. Then at breakfast we noticed this was a bit of a ‘trend’

The views at Santhiya are amazing, this was one of the only real highlights for this stay. But the room we were given didn’t have the ‘As advertised’ views we were expecting. Our room was on the lower level so trees we completely blocking the deluxe sea view room we booked.

Even our checkout was some sort of ‘hassle’. Took close to 45 minutes to get out. Santhiya staff need to drive you out of the hotel to the pickup bay just outside the gate. We sat around waiting for so long before we were ‘allowed’ to leave.

Definitely won’t be returning here or recommending Santhiya, it is in no way what we were expecting by the overall online presentation of Santhiya, reviews included…

ทะเลสวยมาก ห้องพักอลัง ข้อแนะนำคือ ควรปรับปรุงคือ รร. ไม่มีห้องน้ำให้ใช้ ให้ ลค. จ่ายเงินซื้อบริการจากอาคารชุด แนะนำให้ รร. รับผิดชอบส่วนนี้ โดยให้คูปองสำหรับ ลค. ที่จะใช้ห้องน้ำ และรับผิดชอบจ่ายกับอาคารชุด จะสร้างความประทับใจมากยิ่งขึ้น อีกข้อ คือ ป้ายบอกทำห้องโดยการหันปีกนก ควรมีคำกำกับ เช่น make my room และ don't disturb เพราะ ลค. ไม่ทราบทิศทางการหันปีกนก เลยไม่หันปีก แม่บ้านจะไม่มาทำ ลค. ต้องโทรแจ้ง ถึงทราบว่า เป็นเพราะ ลค. ไม่หันปีกนก สำหรับสถานที่ และอาหารเช้า สุดยอด อลังสมชื่อสันธิญามากค่ะ สุดท้ายที่จะแนะนำ คือ นั่งเรือไปและกลับ รวม 6 ครั้ง มีครั้งเดียวที่กัปตันเรือ จอดที่เกาะซบให้ ลค. ถ่าบรูป โดย ลค. ไม่ได้ร้องขอ ประทับใจมากเลยค่ะ ถ้าอากาศดี อยากให้เรือเที่ยวไปเกาะจอดใหเถ่ายรูปที่เกาะซบค่ะ

Amazing infinity pool at Santhiya! Stayed for 8 nights and Koh Yao Yai is so peaceful. Best beach and pool here with amazing photo ops. One other thing I would like to mention is breakfast hall requires you to take off shoes. The floor is extremely dirty and wet at times. Hotel should provide disposable shoe covers or allow for shoes. Especially in this day and age where monkey pox is so transmissible.

The breakfast is served here for the guests, and I can assure it is fantastic!
Plenty of different options from a very large buffet.
From Thai food to western typical breakfast. All the tables have great views, even inside or in the terrace.

You can also order different types of eggs (benedict, fried, boiled, omelette, etc). All prepared at the moment you order!

There's live music in the morning and the service is excellent.

This was supposed to be a 5 star resort.
Well. It is far from that.

When I ordered through hotels.com it was specifically noted that airport transfer is included. This place is located at a remote island and only accessible with a boat. Upon check in the guy at the desk argued aggressively that I need to pay extra 950 Bhat for the transfer since it's not included. Be aware of this extra payments as the trap will not be exposed until you are already on the way to the hotel!

Secondly, the weather was stormy and we had 1 full day without electricity! The staff told me the whole island has no electricity due to bad weather but this was not the case as the lights outside were lit just fine.
The room was leaking and rain started to fall inside and flood the villa. They ignored the issue when I called them!

The staff understand basic English only and communication is minimal, making check in and check out process tiresome.

Food ordered as room service was surly not a 5 star - small and basic pizza that belong to a 3 start hotel at the best case.

The hotel is beautiful. But that's it.
The room are outdated, with many things not working (the phones, bath broken,)
The hotel is understaffed and since not possible to walk between your room and the pool or restaurant, you have to call a car to bring you.
Average of 30min waiting. We missed activities, breakfast and more because of this.
The staff is not nice in comparison with all the hotel of Phuket.
I recommend it to see it, but not to stay there!

Für ein 5- Sterne Ressort ist der Service etwas mau, insbesondere im Hotelbereich. Der Zimmerservice funktioniert nur teilweise und dauert ewig, vielleicht sind sie noch nicht aus dem Coronapandemie Lethargie raus. Der SPA Bereich ist super. Die Küche geht so, das Essen schmeckt. Ich empfehle aber jedem ins Nachbarhotel zu gehen, da schmeckt es besser und die Cocktails sind besser und billiger.

Nice hotel beside the beach in koh yao yai. Huge and natural. Decorated in thai and wooden style. Good staff and service.

Super nice design and wood work in the hotelrooms, lobby and reception. The transport from the room to the beach and restaurants was available all day without any waiting time. The restaurant was too expensive but food okay. You'd better eat outside. You get better food for less money.

Adjacent to the main restaurant of the hotel. Not for swimming but for photos taken of Pang-Nga bay during soaking in the pool.

Stunning view. Comfortable room. The design is a bit over the top Thai style for me but just personal preference. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

One of my absolute favorite Hotels in Thailand!
I love everything here.from the rooms over the pools, the food to the staff! Highly recommended for a relaxed vacation!

This place is a must place to visit because the view from our 3 stories/4bedroom suite was amazing. Went there with family and friends and we had a wonderful time. Get a cash voucher if you are staying there for two days with 4+people because its easy to spend money at this resort. Breakfast is alright. Nothing special. Food at the restaurants were alright too. Nothing much to do at night time in the island. If you are planning to go buck wild at the island, make sure to buy alcohol before you head to the island.
