Sabai Corrner Restaurant and Bungalows

This review is for the restaurant not the bungalows.

The food we had, Green Thai curry, seafood rice, morning glory and Pat See Yew with squid was absolutely delicious. Prices are mid range for the area but value for money was top notch. I don’t think you could go wrong choosing to eat here. We shall be returning again in a few days time.

We had breakfast (2 eggs and 2 slices of bread), it was very expensive for the quality. The bread was good, but we weren't given enough butter. The yogurt wasn't great either. The view is beautiful though!

Very tasty restaurant in a nice atmosphere. Recommended: Cashew Nuts Salad (wow) and Fried Shrimp in Tamarind Sauce

Incompetent service, 1h to serve food when it’s not crowded, average food with prices quite high for this quality

The most beautifull resort on the island! I went so many times to this place (for almost 30 years!) and it is still the same: peacefull, cosy and nice! Good vibes, always!

The worst tasting food I’ve had on the island and served by the most unfriendly staff too. I’m not sure if it was an off night because it was the start of Ramadan or what. All 3 of our meals were under seasoned or just not what we ordered. I’d give zero stars if I could. Go elsewhere there are way better options just footsteps away….

I have returned here because I believe this place has the best restaurant in Thailand. It is a part of heaven. Sit on your balcony with the sea lapping 10 feet away. Fall asleep and wake up to the sound of breaking water. Need to stay longer next time

Went there twice for dinner. My favourite on the island. Great food, beautiful surroundings. But they take 3% commission on credit card spend, beware.

Lovely place to stay and unwind. Rooms somewhat basic. But great bar/restaurant by the see! Staff very helpful. Thanks

We had lunch in Sabai and it was absolutely excellent! Well made with fresh products, especially prawns which just arrived from the sea.
The site is extremely relaxing, and the service is helpful to find the dish which suits your mood

One of the nicest and most authentic place you can find.
All bungalows are made of wood and hidden under le trees. They all come with a terrasse, hammocks and a bathroom
The sea is 50 m away and sand beaches a little farther.
A good restaurant is at the location that serves Thai and Italian dishes as the owner is of Italian origine.
The staff is very friendly.
They also rent scooters.
Such a nice quiet place. Very relaxing!

Nur kurz zum Essen gestoppt. Sehr leckere Sandwiches und Knoblauchbrot. Leider war die Komminikation (auf englisch) etwas schwierig aber sonst guter Service.

Great value for the price, the restaurant is excellent and the price are good, staff is great and the cabins are very cleaned and well maintained. I highly recommend this place

Booked a one week stay during the Phuket Sandbox Scheme in August 2021 - loved it so much we stayed one month! There were no other quests on-site so we totally enjoyed it basically to ourselves. Lela is a doll! The staff is amazing and the cook Nong Daw is phenomenal! Cozy bungalows that feel like home, secluded & amazing views! Bring your favorite bug spray or you’ll be itchy. We did two private all day excursions via longtail boat to the national parks with Rat & Farid per Lela’s recommendation & it was 10 stars! Hands down one of my favorite experiences in Thailand. I can’t wait to visit again!

Cool bungalows in the jungle. Small animals are part of the experience. The jungle sounds are very loud at night. So if you have a light sleep it might get difficult without Ohropax.

Amazing food and amazing accommodations. Try the Massaman chicken, expertly prepared by Nong Daw. We stayed in bungalow 11 for a month in August 2021 during the Phuket Sandbox scheme. Lela, the owner is a wealth of knowledge about the area. Don’t let her talk you to death though, as she has a tendency to be long-winded. She means well. The tides are spectacular as they change so rapidly and dramatically during the day. It was normal for the tide to be lapping against the sea wall in the early morning, while in the afternoon the sea would recede 200 meters back into the strait of Malacca. If you have an opportunity to take a tour with Radt, which can easily be booked through Sabai corner, TAKE IT! He’s been the guide standard from which all others have been judged.

Food was terrible. Carbonara was a mixture of water and milk with a bit of parmesan cheese on top.

Absolutely loved this place! Simple kinda place with beautiful setting and bigger than your usual (old school) bungalows. Bungalow 1 had a great deck with separate outdoor bathroom and semi sea views, bungalow 13 had great sea views and a nice deck and indoor bathroom. A wonderfully relaxed place that we’d all love to return to! They booked a great snorkelling and island day trip we all also really enjoyed! Breakfast and food was good too. Will be staying here next time on the island!

Fantastic wood and thatch cabins in a great location. Great staff and funky wooden platforms over the water perfect for admiring the views with a cold beverage. Really enjoyed the fan room being able to hear the ocean all night

Basic.
Staff is very friendly, and bar / restaurant area with garden are very nice.
But very basic room for the price, especially the beach front, we was expecting something better. (same we have saw on the reviews picture) I wish have finally another room with a better interior, more clean as well.

Outside Balcony is the only good point of the room.

Food is good but expensive. (Most place are expensive on the island anyway.)
