Terrible. Frozen food. Coconut curry had no coconut, with pineapple from a can and frozen shrimp. Glass noddles made with frozen veggies. Stir fried Chicken with Thai basil was minced. Spring rolls frozen from a bag. 198 items on the menu! Oily and one note.

We visited the Bistro for the 2nd time last night. Once again the food and staff were amazing. The flavours in the shrimp with tamarind sauce were out of this world and the chicken in Thai herbs was just on another level.
We got to the restaurant late after a busy day and all the staff met us with with smiles and couldn't do enough for us.

For anyone thinking about going to this restaurant then please do because you won't be disappointed

I went to eat 1 week ago, because of the rating I had I thought it was a very good restaurant, but. I ordered a crab curry, the sauce was super grainy and obvious, the crab did not have any meat, my partner ordered a fish The letter said it cost 280b but they charged 600b. So I was left with a feeling of being scammed, I also got sick to my stomach, with fever included, and by the way I still haven't recovered, I wouldn't recommend it,

We came here based on the recommendation of our hosts and were not disappointed. The food was super tasty (although a bit spicy for my European taste). It's best to say so when ordering if you don't like spicy food. Otherwise great service with good English.

My wife and I visited this place on two nights of our stay on the island last week. Everyone was so friendly. The prices were not expensive as I had read in previous reviews, actually we found his place to be very reasonably priced relative to other places on the island.
The steamed fish with lime sauce is great - I would also recommend other fresh seafood like the tempura shrimp and squid. One of the only places that we also saw many locals eating at.
Bossman was very helpful with giving us suggestions when needed. He even accommodated my request for takeaway cocktails (which were delicious.)
If you are on the island I’d give this place a visit. We hope to return sometime.

Everything about this place is perfect. The food was incredible and the owner is joyful, kind and keen to help.

He's the reason we discovered the Hotpot as it wasn't on the English menu but he doesn't time talking us through the options and we ended up with such a great meal!

AMAZING! We had dinner here twice in a week after another couple recommended it. The tempura was hot, crispy and not at all greasy. The mains tasted authentic with a perfect amount of heat. The beer was ice cold and the service was fantastic.

Incredibly welcoming owner! The food was very good (although a bit spicy for some of us) but the quantities were amazing and I would have wanted to order more. The dessert menu was super limited when we went though.

After eating at this restaurant, I think it is over-rated, over-rated!
The dishes are good but not better than in other much cheaper restaurants.
We had seen part of the menu thanks to photos put on Google (8 months ago) by the owner but when we had the menu in hand, the prices were not the same … sometimes 30% increase on some dishes.
The last two pages of the menu are exclusively in Thai, and coincidentally, the dishes are cheaper…
All this makes me think that we take tourists for wallets!

Amazing Thai food with a creative spin.

Everything here tastes amazing, this place deserves a Michelin star in my opinion. Always filled with locals (the only place I have seen here that is), so it is usually difficult to get a table. Everything from the pad Thai, fried rice, to whole fried fish and squid and unique dishes is fantastic. I have been to Thailand all over many times and this is the most creative Thai good I have ever had.

Great food! We ordered the Tom yum soup (super authentic), mamasann beef curry. Both dishes were good and we wiped out everything! Highly recommended if you are looking for authentic Thai food!

We ate here three times during a two week stay on the island as it was one of our favorite restaurants. We tried a range of cocktails and dishes and everything was very good, served by friendly staff and/or the chef. The ambience is inviting and relaxing; when we went there was always a mix of locals and visitors. The restaurant has moved since some of these photos were taken and no longer sits right on the water - but this doesn’t detract from the experience if you’re eating after dark. Highly recommend it.

Good food. Nice vibe. Locals eat eat here which adds to the atmosphere. Pad Thai was disappointing but everything else we ordered was nice. Will visit again especially as reliable choices on the island are very limited at the moment.

Food is great! You'll love the country style of the restuarant. Do visit this place if you are in Koh Yao Noi.

Das Lokal bietet ein sehr schönes Ambiente und bequeme Sitzgelegenheiten an. Das Essen allerdings entspricht nicht annähernd dem thailändischen Durchschnitt, den man hier gewohnt ist oder auch aus anderen Regionen kennt. Portionen sind viel zu klein, die Preise paar Euro höher als nebenan.

Very very tasting food but the mango shakes we had was served with mango juice and not fresh mangoes - what a joke!

In Thailand trip I only eat fried rice with chicken cause I am not a food guy, but at this place they had the best fried rice with chicken I have ever tried.

When we came there was a live music evening and the guys played different songs. Not just from Thailand or just world wide known songs. It was a nice mix.
