Delicious home cooked food that is made with love. Seriously, you can tell! Also they have a massage area and you can get your laundry done all right there. What's not to love!?

My favorite restaurant in Khao Lak.
At Phen you are always warmly welcomed and greeted with a smile. The food is very good and tasty and the prices are top. A fruit platter is usually brought for dessert as a small surprise. It's always a pleasure to have a chat with Phen, who is very warm and loving towards all her guests. We always enjoy coming back.

The staff, the family, are lovely. The food is delicious and there is a large selection. We returned here as a whole family 3 times. The prices are absolutely reasonable.
A huge advantage when it rains there is a shed, so no problem. The restaurant is right behind the JW Marriott hotel. The access to the restaurant facing the sea faces to the right

Phen is a family owned restaurant just outside the Marriott resort boundary wall. Head to the beach and turn right. It's signposted and is just a short walk up a track. I think the food is actually better than the hotel and at a fraction of the cost, plus the family get your money rather than a big hotel company.
We ordered chicken satay, chicken pad Thai, sticky rice, a mango rice and two pineapple & gin cocktails. The bill was 620 baht! (approx £15)
To clarify expectations, this isn't a marbled floor modern building with air conditioning etc, this is a traditional timber built Thai restaurant at the edge of a jungle.but better for it!

Highly recommended even if it's not directly on the beach. Incredibly delicious food. We will be back!

If you are staying in the Marriott you should definitely try this place. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are so friendly. The menu is great and very reasonably priced. Above all the food is excellent!

I don't know if you're strong, but there are a lot of mochi bugs, so I'll just avoid them. Other than that, I'll write everything down.

The restaurant Phen, just to the right of the JW Marriott Hotel, which can be visited via the beach, is very cute. Phen herself cooks all the dishes fresh and her daughters help her and take care of the massage area.
We spent every lunch at Phen's. The prices are super fair and affordable and the food is wonderful. We tried the entire menu, including juices and pancakes with banana and pineapple. Everything was really great. We also enjoyed a foot scrub. Everything is very clean and takes 45 minutes for just THB 300. -. Very wonderful and lovely people with the usual loving Thai service.

10 years ago Phen was still at the front of the beach with 3 other bars, unfortunately the government drove them all off the beach due to the large hotel chains. But the ambience is at least as great.

Excellent local restaurant, pastoral place.with cheap prices. Excellent attitude of the staff of the restaurant.the food is delicious. You can also do take away if you don't want to sit on the spot.

We stumbled across this little family run restaurant whilst staying at the JW Marriott. Phen’s is right next door to the resort. Looking at the beach it’s on the right side of the resort. If you’re after fabulous Thai food from a friendly family own restaurant head to Phen’s. The food was fresh and delicious. They also do takeaway if your after a quiet night in whilst staying at the resort. I loved my Pad Thai chicken and delicious mango sticky rice. Our bill came to 1010 THB which included drinks (non alcoholic) and desert for 4 adults. The staff were so lovely. Highly recommended Phen’s for a delicious meal.

Run by the family, it is still a very good restaurant with delicious food. Anyone coming from outside can drive or walk through JW Mariot down on the beach and get to Phen on the other side
