Khaolak Relax Resort

Room very dirty, from external very beautiful however inside room is dirty. Is like you come to homestay which not well maintained, not a resort or hotel and no profesional cleaning worker. Disappointed. Hope can be improve.

We loved our stay at the Khao Lak relax resort: warm atmosphere, friendly and family spirit with these various spaces. Very pleasant swimming pool. We had a very large upstairs room with an incredible view of the forest! We stayed ten days with our 2 young children and our Australian Shepherd and everything went perfectly well.
In addition we had a little problem when leaving with our taxi and Tundi arranged everything very quickly.

- Disappointing -

Unfortunately, our expectations were not met with the accommodation. We stayed at the Relax Resort for four days and were about to leave on the first day.

The name suggests a resort, which is getting old and unfortunately not very well maintained. The entrance is reminiscent of a junkyard. Why is there a wrecked car here? There is also plenty of rubbish behind it. Not very inviting!

We had family accommodation, but there were only two of us. The accommodation was very spacious, but so musty that we couldn't relax. Airing it out didn't help either, so we had to buy room freshener at 7/11. The furniture (veneer) smelled badly and was unusable (such as the closet). This furniture would have to be completely removed, otherwise you won't be able to get the smell out of the room permanently. In addition, the rooms weren't completely clean and the refrigerator had mold on the seals - you wouldn't want to store food there.

The beds were fine.

The terrace in front of the room didn't invite you to linger, it was like being on a presentation plate. We didn't even use the pool, there weren't even any loungers.

On top of that, the breakfast was disappointing, as there was bagged coffee, toast, butter, two types of jam and one type of fruit. If you want, you can have an egg prepared. That's it. However, the photos suggest more diversity here. After the third day we ate out.

When I left I pointed out the rooms and the smell. We were assured that everything possible had been done. We didn't get that impression.

You can rent a scooter in the resort for 300tb/day. One street further it costs half as much.

We would not stay here again - in fact we would advise against staying overnight.

Located 5 minutes by scooter from the magnificent Khao Lak beach, it is a fabulous place, a return to nature, a perfect place to unwind, relax, forget the consumer society. With my family, we have wonderful memories. The Hungarian owners, and particularly Tünde, are exceptionally kind and caring. And what a garden! A lot of effort for this garden certainly. Totally conquered

We really liked the originality, a small resort with around ten apartments or gîtes, a large common space (summer kitchen, garden), the calm. And that 5 minutes from the beach, or only 15 minutes from the center of Khao Lak.

You won't have the bling-bling side of Phuket and that's good, but you will discover something else. Scooter essential for a pleasant stay. We were able to rent an almost new Honda 125 scooter for 8 EUR per day without limit of kilometers. Tünde took care of finding us this scooter.

Definitely we will come back to Khao Lak Resort.

What an exceptional welcome! Veronika is warm, has your well-being at heart and has lots of good advice. Our room was huge, the bathroom spotless and a large terrace. The garden is beautiful and the breakfast simple and good. I warmly recommend!

This hotel I would like to live! Good breakfast, super rooms and friendly staff. You must live here if traveling to Similians or just khaolak.

The owner is hungarian lady and the accomodation is fine. It's not really close the the beach so you need to rent a motorbike (it's available for rent int he resort). Then a way to the beach / restaurant with motorbike is fun.
We had a familly apartman which was really spacy. On the reception we have book a one day trip to Similan Islands, which was fine hoever really overcrowded place.

Abseits der Touristen. Nettes kleines Hotel. Ruhig und entspannt mit Kind. Auto oder Moped wird benötigt. Letzteres gibt es vor Ort

Nicht unbedingt mit Kindern zu empfehlen. Für den Preis habe ich etwas besseres erwartet. Sehr schmutziger Bungalow. Inhaberin war sehr unfreundlich.

Outstanding. A quiet tropical oasis located in easy reach of beach and commercial road. Landscaping luxuriant. Every room unique. The flavor is fusion with a dash of funk. Large rooms and small pool perfect for families.
Breakfast with fresh greens, fruit and yogurt to accompany your scrambled eggs and sausage

Every detail attentatively managed by the on site owner/designer. We stayed for a week and hate to leave

Let me start with the place. The place is okay, not so close to beach, bit close to main road and you can walk if you have low luggage or can carry on your back. We walked with out massive 35 kgs. The place is like a homestay, not a resort or hotel. Neat and clean, small and beautiful. And the best part comes with the manager who's Hungarian. She is absolute delight as a host and she was so truly helpful all the time. With tours or suggestions, or even to drop or pick you up if you need it. She's always there to help you. Scooters and bycycles available for rent. Which is needed if you are not taking any tours. Food is okay, we are vegetarians and we had no much options but only freshly cut vegetables and fruits. No restaurant. Only breakfast is served. Friendly staff. If you like pets, you'll love the company of Missy the dog, cats, fishes and turtle.

The trip to Similan was very nice, but regarding the resort I think that they can improve the breakfast and the room conditios.

Beautiful place which is being taken a great care. We had wonderful and calm sleep and breakfast was delicious.

Nice cozy stay. The owner lady is very kind. She upgraded our room to a better one for no extra cost as there was a better room vacant. She also has 2 wheeler motor bike which we can borrow on rent 250 thb/day. She also dropped us to the main road in her car to the bus station.

Wonderful place to spend quiet, relaxing stay. Sorry to have to leave tomorrow. Nice, spacious clean rooms. The resort is nicely landscaped and surrounded by green. Lovely beach a short bicycle ride away. Delicious and healthy breakfast included in the reasonable price of the room. The owner Tea does an awesome job of running a professional and friendly place. I would highly recommend staying here and am already planning a return stay!
